House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has been removed from his speakership through a motion to vacate initiated by Rep. Matt Gaetz. The vote marks the end of McCarthy’s tenure after only nine months in the House’s top leadership position.
Eight Republicans joined all Democrats in a 216-210 vote against McCarthy. Following the turmoil of a possible government shutdown, the GOP House members have much to do. What happens next, and who will become speaker of the House?
No one appears to be safe from the crime wave in Washington, DC. Plus, a man is sentenced to sixty days in jail for exercising free speech.

IMO it wasn’t RIGHT to punish the ‘adult’ in the House for serving the people of the USA by avoiding a government shutdown!! It was a ‘spoiled brat’ of a Congressman that brought the ‘motion to vacate’. One Congressman shouldn’t be able to bring a motion to vacate [it was a condition McCarthy agree to to become speaker that NEVER should have been agreed to but without it NO WORK would have been done]
BUT how was it serving WE the people, to pass YET AGAIN another CR, that does NOTHING FOR OUR massive national debt?
