Never let a crisis go to waste.
Those are words the left lives by, and they reverted to form yesterday, almost instantly on the attack against the Second Amendment, trying to wave the bloody shirt and make political hay over a terrible atrocity.
Hillary Clinton tweeted: “Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.”
Huh? What the hell does a “silencer” have to do with the Las Vegas massacre? Would a suppressor really have “silenced” anything? It was the smoke alarm going off in the killer’s room that enabled the cops to find him, not the loud reports of the rounds.
“We can and must put politics aside,” Hillary continued, “stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.”
As a former first lady, Hillary gets lifetime Secret Service protection. Is she willing to, you know, put her money where her mouth is, and give up her armed bodyguards? As an example to all of us irredeemables bitterly clinging to our guns and our religion?
Hillary at least knew enough to mention her “grief.” Did you notice how many of the Beautiful People didn’t even pretend to care about slain country-music fans?
As a CBS lawyer named Hayley Geftman-Gold posted, “I’m actually not even sympathetic because country music fans often are Republican gun toters.”
Astonishingly, she was fired for parroting the CBS company line.
On Sunday night, hours before the shooting, “60 Minutes” had an interview with Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, and they didn’t even bother to point out that he was shot down in cold blood by a Democrat operative and Bernie Sanders volunteer. Maybe because then-anchor Scott Pelley (also since fired as network anchor) first described the shooting by the Bernie bro as “foreseeable, predictable and to some degree, self-inflicted.”
In other words, the network of Dan Rather’s fake-but-accurate news believes that any Republican who is shot has it coming. And they call us “deplorables.”
As little as they know about firearms, the alt-left knows even less about the Bible. Here is a tweet from a Miami moonbat talk-show host:
“The Second Amendment doesn’t trump the First Commandment.”
You know, the First Commandment that says something like,”I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no false Gods before me.”
So, what exactly was this fool getting at? Are gun owners melting down their firearms to make graven images?
Does this pony-tailed snowflake realize that if he went back a few books in the Old Testament, he might read about a guy named Cain who killed his brother Abel not with an automatic rifle, but with a rock?
When will the Democrats call for a seven-day waiting period for rocks? Is there a rock-show loophole they’d like to close?
One reason so many network reporters were on the scene to cover the massacre was because they’d flown into McCarron for the release from prison of O.J. Simpson. Like Cain, O.J. didn’t need a gun for his handiwork.
A knife sufficed, nicely.
