These fancy EV cars are mostly powered by fossil fuels (coal & natural gas), so paying $15,000 for a new battery just so I could make a political statement (of stupidity) doesn’t really appeal to me. Not to mention that they aren’t that practical in the snowy mountains of northern PA during the winter, no infrastructure to charge them, not to mention the $60,000 to $80,000 sticker price to purchase it. If I can’t afford $4 per gallon for gas, I can’t afford 60-80 grand!
