SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The mayor of San Francisco was spotted dancing and singing along to live music without a mask at an indoor nightclub, despite a strict order by her public health department that requires wearing masks at indoor establishments unless someone is actively eating or drinking.
Mayor London Breed, a Democrat, has promoted restrictive measures aimed at curbing the coronavirus, frustrating business owners who have had to shut down or limit customers.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported the mayor was at the Black Cat nightclub Wednesday for an impromptu late night performance by two of the original three members of popular R&B act Tony! Toni! Toné!
“The fact that we have not been able to enjoy live music in this way since the beginning of this pandemic made it even that much more special and extraordinary,” she told The Chronicle after the performance.
Her office did not respond immediately on Friday to a request by The Associated Press to explain the mayor’s actions.
San Francisco also requires proof of full vaccination for customers at indoor venues including restaurants, bars, gyms and other businesses.
Breed told the Chronicle that she tests often for COVID-19 and she was reassured that the subterranean club was safe because people at the Black Cat need to show proof of vaccination to get in.

Still, the August health order by San Francisco and other Bay Area counties requires people to wear “well-fitting mask indoors in public settings” regardless of vaccination status. The delta variant is so contagious that even inoculated people have been able to catch the virus and spread it to others.
“Indoor settings, whether public or private, are higher risk for COVID-19 transmission, especially when you are with people you do not live with,” the Aug. 2 health order states.
San Francisco and neighboring counties were the first to issue a stay-home order in March 2020, even before California Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered people statewide to stay indoors except for essential jobs and errands. The region has among the highest vaccination rates and lowest infection rates in California and in the U.S.
Danielle Rabkin, owner of CrossFit Golden Gate gym and critic of the mayor’s policies, told NBC Bay Area affiliate KNTV-TV that Breed has consistently said that people need to do their part because of the continuing threat posed by the coronavirus.
“San Francisco’s rules have been very restrictive, and I don’t see her playing her part in that photo,” Rabkin said.
Even runners in this weekend’s San Francisco Marathon will be required to wear masks in areas of the course that cross into National Park Service territory. The federal agency requires masks indoors and in crowded outdoor spaces.
Last year, Breed also was accused of hypocrisy when she attended a group dinner at the posh French Laundry restaurant in Napa in spite of strong recommendations by state and public health officials at the time to avoid gatherings with people outside the household.

That is what we need is for a DemocRAT to fight for this communist agenda to be removed. It will start with nights clubs and maybe eventually it will be all indoor dining, and eventually we will get rid of this administration. And it will all go back to normal!
Just like those at the Emmy’s were all unmasked.. Due to the “Superstar exemption”…
ONCE again, leftists PROVE THE age old adage, “RULES for thee, but not for me!”
What a shocker!
A DEMOCRAT politician believes the RULES don’t apply to THEM!
These days, it would make news, if a dem, actually DID THINK RULES applied to them…
Think the word “Bucks” was spelled wrong, if you know what I mean.
is that a woman or a man?
