A per mile tax will remove the incentive to replace older vehicles with ones that get better miles per gallon. If you have an older car that runs well, why go in debt buying something newer?
Actually I’m all for a mileage tax, as long as all gas taxes are removed. Since electric cars don’t pay for gas they don’t pay for road repair, Which is what we are told is the reason why there are gas taxes.
THEY WILL NEVER remove gas tax.. THEY WILL never remove ANY Tax… All they will do is ADD new taxes.
