The weather gets hot, it’s “proof” of global warming. The weather gets cold, is that proof of global cooling?
No, you’re so ignant it’s not global warming it’s climate change blah blah blah. You need to educate yourself on the difference.
But at least it’s self-regulating right? I mean the temperature trends up and then it trends back down.

‘Climate change’ is little more than a catch phrase where everything/anything can be blamed on ‘man.’ This is very convenient if one wants to blame something on man. Then, in that way, because man is made to feel guilty, anything can be done after that in order to help man out of his predicament. Anything can include spending large sums of money to do anything to solve ‘climate change.’ Go along with this, or, otherwise, you’ll be labeled a DENIER. Many will call you that, and we’ll be spending the money anyway.
Wait for it…Hillary just blamed Trump and the GOP as the reason.
And sadly, a lot of stupid people believe it. Well, at least a lot of liberals and democrats believe it.

“Climate change” was the fix when global-warming didn’t follow the computer model projections.
I think that EVERYONE believes that our climate is changing. The real debate issue is if mankind can significantly affect the planet’s climate patterns…and if we should attempt to do so.
I think the popular theory right now is that we MIGHT be able to impact general warming trends (man-caused or not), but to do so would require a major reconstruction of human development and a corresponding reduction in the world’s human population and domestic animals.
Even then–our greatest minds are best-guessing at what the outcome would be, as there are far too many variable to project results with any reasonable degree of certainty–although that has never slowed down Hollywood, the media, or politicians.
Im trying to remember which channel it was on, but 3 or so years ago i remember something similar to a nat-geo program that mentioned EACH Volcanic erruption is equivalent to 10 years of all the CO2 and other ‘carbon’ emissions we produce…
And how many volcanos have gone ‘boom’ in the past 25 years??! Quite a few iirc.
DougV, one of Obama’s and his fellow Socialist/Enviroterrorists’ pet agenda items–and one that, understandably, they don’t talk about much–is “population control”, i.e. KILLING a large percentage of the human population in order to achieve some utopian “sustainable” population figure they’ve set.
Whether this would be accomplished by tinkering with the food supply, introduction of disease, or outright SLAUGHTER is still open for debate, apparently, but NEVER DOUBT for an instant that these conversations are taking place among the “bio-ethicists” and OTHER assorted left-wing VERMIN who think they should have the divine power of life and death over EVERYBODY.
Well, yeah–the libs are not going to miss an opportunity to push their scientifically DUBIOUS (at BEST) “man-made climate change” theories by pointing to ANY major weather event as “proof” that their LOONY ideas are correct. I don’t dispute that the climate is changing–that has ALWAYS been true. It just happens so slowly in terms of human lifetimes that when it DOES change, it seems like a unique event.
What I disagree with is the liberal loons’ notion that suddenly this natural phenomenon has become a “man-made” threat, and that we must BANKRUPT ourselves trying to “fight” it. Man has NEVER been able to control the weather, much LESS the climate!
This is just another globalist scheme to redistribute VAST amounts of American wealth to OTHER COUNTRIES. Their plan is apparently to remove ALL national borders and reduce ALL countries to Third World hellholes full of EQUALLY IMPOVERISHED, starving beggars–then they will, at last, have achieved the “equality” of their dreams. This “climate change” scam is just another way of accomplishing that.
Climate Change?
Uhh, only been alive for 67 years and the years seem no hotter or colder than in my youth.
I can remember very hot days in the ’50s that I have never seen again.
I can remember snow in the SF Bay Area that I have never seen again.
But, of course, that is all weather. You do know the difference, right?
However, I have lived through about 15 major ecological “disasters,” all requiring me to give up more freedoms and money to the government to solve the problems that, as far as I can see, don’t exist.
to me, part of the issue is the large # of forest fires all over the west that we have had many of (lots more than in prior decades) in the past 10 years…. IMO all that helps contribute to the rise in # of other weather phenomenon.
There’s no doubt, none, that “climate change” exists and is ongoing. Ask the people living in the north part of North America who are not living under a couple of thousand feet of ice, for example, or the millions who recreate and ship goods on any of the Great Lakes. The point liberals like to hide is that climate change takes place over millennia. Short-term changes such as colder-than-usual winters, hotter-than-usual summers and a few extra hurricanes are known as “weather.” Duh.
Even the “Little Ice Age” of the late 1800s, during which the Thames River in Great Britain and the East River in America both froze so solidly that merchants set up shop on the ice, and people drove their wagons from Manhattan to Staten Island was a weather phenomenon, not climate change.
Weather is what is happening now. Climate is how it was and will be.
A few decades ago the Sun was thought to be constant and it is now known to not be constant.
When the Earth was getting hotter in 1955 there was nothing to compare it to except the Weather Bureau records going back to 1888.
Now we have weather stations in orbit around Mars and Jupiter and telescopes that can measure the temperature on Pluto. When the Earth was getting warmer, so was Mars and even Pluto.
Maybe it is the Sun?
Ask any competent geologist and you will be told that there is direct evidence of 4 to 6 ice ages running about 100,000 years apart. The last ice age ended about 14,000 years ago when the glaciers started to melt. We are in the later stages of that melt down. So the question is what happens to the temperature between the ice ages?
A secondary question is; What caused the glaciers to start melting in the first place?
Ask anybody who pushes the man made effects; How many coal fired power plants or SUVs were running during the last inter-glacial period?

Well, there are several possibilities, Porthos:
1) Paul Bunyan pi$$ed on them;
2) Said legendary character poured boiling water on them from a giant tea pot, heated over a fire created through friction caused by putting two transgender people in a room with only one bathroom;
3) It's Bush's fault;
4) It was friggin' magic;
5) Dubya did it;
6) Over the course of millennia, the ambient (for the benefit of low-info liberal voters, that's the temperature of local air; for example, the ambient temperature in a room is equal to the average IQ of liberal voters in the room) elevated enough to cause the ice to gradually melt;
7) It's Bush's fault, or;
8) The smoke from factories and automobiles that would be invented thousands of years in the future blocked out the sun. Retroactively.
Pick one (conservatives will have no problem getting it right, while liberals will ponder several possibilities, then ask Pelosi which to choose).
