The controversial edict from the Obama administration, sent to public schools last week, is about more than transgendered students in the basketball locker room.

Citing the letter’s specific instructions, Laurie Higgins of the [google_map url=”” width=”610″ height=”350″]Illinois Family Institute warns that transgendered students should enjoy more access than just locker rooms or restroom.

“Gender-dysphoric students must be permitted to share hotel rooms with opposite-sex students,” Higgins tells OneNewsNow, “and their actual sex must be concealed from their roommates unless all students are required to share their sex.”

The joint letter came from the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education, and its directive – demanding that public schools allow boys into girls’ restrooms and locker rooms – caused an uproar among parents, and state and local officials.

The ultimate goal of Leftists, Higgins warns, is to eradicate the reality and meaning of sex differences in society. To protect innocent children from such tactics, she says, the best option for Christian parents is to put their children into private schools.

But churches need to step up to help make it that happen, she adds.

“Churches are going to have to start private schools and they’re going to have to provide the funding to make any Christian family to be able to afford that schooling,” she argues, noting that annual tuition is often $5,000 to $10,000 and many families can’t afford that.

“They’re going to have to have scholarships and funding available,” she says.
