A former adviser of President Barack Obama called the Democratic Party’s platform on abortion immoral and indefensible, insisting that it could possibly silence anyone who stands in its way – especially those advocating traditional sexual morality.

After leading Obama’s outreach to evangelicals in 2012 and attending last week’s Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Michael Wear expressed that the platform – touted by the official Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, and her running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) – is deplorable in regards to abortion.

“It’s morally reprehensible,” Wear told the Catholic News Agency after being asked about the Democrats’ official abortion stance.

Abortion or bust

The party’s extreme pro-abortion agenda that it has vowed to carry out will aggressively champion the killing of preborn children in numerous ways.

“The 55-page platform promises Democrats [that] officials will ‘stand up’ for Planned Parenthood, fund abortion nationwide and around the world, ‘overturn’ state and federal restrictions on abortion, and crank up the legal pressure against pro-life sidewalk counselors,” LifeSiteNews.com reports.

Not on board …

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), along with a growing number of Democrats, agrees with Wear, arguing that the ultra-pro-abortion stance is way to the Left of what most Americans want.

“Crazy” is the term the senator used to describe the language of the Democrats’ draft platform that demands the repeal of the Hyde and Helms Amendments, which work to protect preborn children.

“It’s something that I know most of the Democrats in West Virginia and most West Virginians would not agree with,” Manchin informed The Weekly Standard. “I don’t either.”

Another Democratic leader not on board with his party’s full-fledged assault on the preborn stressed that government-subsidized abortions were not tolerated for a long period of time – to reflect the will of the American people.

“[A] consensus-based policy [had] – for many years – prohibited the use of federal funds to pay for abortion,” Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) pointed out, according to LifeSiteNews.com.

Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) also made it clear that he promotes laws designed to protect innocent preborn children in America – a view he communicated through his spokeswoman Sarah Rothschild.

“[Senator Donnelly] has long supported and continues to support the Hyde Amendment, and as a pro-life Senator, [he] believes all life is sacred,” Rothschild announced.

Too far Left

The radical pro-abortion platform championed by Clinton, Kaine, Sanders and other Democrats seeking to do away with any constitutional rights regarding the sanctity of human life of preborn children is not supported by many progressives in the party who have gone on record as supporting abortion.

“North Dakota’s Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, who supports abortion-on-demand, said she supports the Hyde Amendment and other restrictions on abortion, all of which the Democratic platform would obliterate,” LIfeSiteNews.com’s Ben Johnson pointed out.

He stresses that the White House – which has unconditionally defended keeping Planned Parenthood abortion facilities funded by taxpayers in the midst of the abortion giant’s recurring scandals – will not move all the way to the far Left on the issue … and advocate getting rid of the Hyde Amendment.

“Even the Obama administration sent word this week that President Obama had not changed his position in favor of the Hyde Amendment, which he had applied to the Affordable Care Act by executive order,” Johnson continued.

Affront on faith

It is argued that Democrats are working hard to make it politically incorrect and culturally unacceptable to hold to the biblical worldview when it comes to the sanctity of human life and abortion.

The heightening intolerance of the Democratic Party and its opposition to those who will not compromise their sincerely held religious beliefs due to political pressure was addressed by Wear. After being hired at the age of 23 as the religious outreach director for Obama’s re-election campaign, Wear – who was raised Catholic but currently attends an evangelical church – is well aware of the political divisiveness over the issue.

“Religious freedom has become so polarized [and] politicized,” Ware asserted.

In fact, those not on board with pro-abortion policies are being punished for their decision to stand for biblical principles.

“Faith-based hospitals that will not perform abortions, adoption agencies that will not place children with homosexuals, and anti-trafficking organizations that will not refer for abortion have all come under scrutiny, sometimes from the Obama administration,” Johnson informed.

Wanting to take the Democrats’ pro-abortion stance to a higher level, Clinton has aggressively challenged those whose faith will not allow them to support the slaughter of innocent preborn children.

“[Religious beliefs that oppose abortion-on-demand] have to be changed,” Clinton insisted on her current campaign trail.
