With news coming out Friday that requests for help during the attack in Benghazi, Libya were received, but then denied, some reporters (although not from the so-called mainstream media) are starting to ask questions. But guess what? Barack Obama is not providing any answers. Instead, he is allowing this issue to grow more and more complicated, and more and more like a situation in which Obama had no idea what he was doing.
As I described on Friday, sources on the ground during the actual Benghazi terrorist attack say that requests for help were made three separate times. All of those requests were denied.
Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to “stand down,” according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to “stand down.”
Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The rescue team from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.
At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied.

So many questions. And the answers are NOT coming. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta came out and said that the reason military support was not sent in was because they didn’t have enough “real-time information.”
Are you kidding me? They had people on the ground! They were describing the situation in REAL TIME. The U.S. had drones in the area observing what was going on!
“(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place,” Panetta said, according to The Associated Press. “And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”
This is absolutely outrageous, but what does Barack Obama have to say? Nothing.
As reported by NBC 9News in Denver, Barack Obama was asked twice during an interview on Friday about the requests for help. Twice Obama ducked the question.
This interview is actually quite interesting. At the beginning, Obama is asked twice — DIRECTLY — whether requests for help were denied. He doesn’t answer. He just gives a bunch of blah, blah, blah.
President Obama discussed the situation in Libya during a satellite interview Friday afternoon with 9NEWS reporter Kyle Clark, who also asked if it’s fair for Americans to be told to wait until after the election to learn what truly happened in Libya.
“The election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened,” President Obama said. “Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do.”
President Obama was directly asked twice whether pleas for help on the ground in Libya were denied during the attack. Both times, he repeated his standard call for a thorough investigation.
I invite you to watch the entire interview when you can. This guy is great. Obama can’t even handle questions from a local reporter. Just think of the field day the Washington media could have with Obama, if they would just ASK the questions!
The American people were sold a story about a spontaneous attack resulting from an anti-muslim video. Obama said it, and his team said it…. over and over again. They all knew the story was FALSE. They perpetuated a lie. Now we learn that military support was directly denied. Why? Where was Obama during all of this? With each new revelation, more and more questions need to be asked.
