Nearly three dozen Democratic members of Congress recently sent a letter asking Joe Biden to renounce his sole authority to launch nuclear weapons.
“While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so,” the letter states, then asks Biden to “consider modifying the decision-making process the United States uses in its command and control of nuclear forces.” Some of the suggestions offered are to require signoff from the Vice President and Speaker of the House, or the Attorney General and Secretary of Defense.
“If the president’s own party doesn’t have any faith and trust in his competence, then the Chinese, Russians, and others will test us, and we will come up short,” responds Bob Maginnis, senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council (FRC). “This is very, very serious. It’s certainly the most outlandish thing that has come out of the Democrat Party in the last year, and perhaps much longer.”
Maginnis says the Democrats do not seem to understand that the release of nuclear weapons affects everyone in the world.
“This is frightening because … if those codes are released, things happen, and they happen quickly,” he tells One News Now, adding that he cannot go into detail about how he understands the severity of that fact. “It’s not something to toy with, and yet that’s exactly what the Democrats are doing. They’re toying with something they really don’t understand.”
By publicizing this letter, the defense analyst says Democrats are telling the world just how confident they are in Biden’s ability to handle the responsibility.
Maginnis wonders if they would prefer that authority be in the hands of the Secretary of Defense or some committee.
“If you give it to a committee, are you going to give the veto power to all members of the committee? And therefore in a time of great crisis, we wouldn’t be able to release to defend ourselves,” he poses.
“It’s hard to know what [Democrats’] intentions are in [doing this] – whether they are concerned about Joe Biden as a person, or whether they’re concerned about the presidency [in general] having that authority. In a lot of ways, if it’s against the presidency then it’s a lot more sinister [than if it’s just aimed at Biden]. That’s trying to reduce the power, the nuclear capability, of the United States of America.”
“[It does bring up] legitimate questions [about Biden’s mental capacity]. When you look at the 25th Amendment and when it was brought up during Trump’s time, but not being able to use it in the waning time of his term – [one wonders] who was all of that discussion intended for?”

Yep, the Democrats really have confidence in Joe Stalin Mao Biden, don’t they. The communist Democrats know darn well, that Biden is suffering from the onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Democrats are proof of the law of unintended consequences! In their desparation to beat the sitting President and win the election by any and all means possible they proffered a candidate who had the best chance of winning but was not the best candidate for the job. Now they are seeing the consequences of their actions and are scrambling to try to undo what they have brought on themselves. Thinking he had a mandate to undo everything the Trump administration had accomplished to build up the United States Mr Biden has gone on a slash and burn mission alienating many who voted for him. As per usual the Dems are trying to change the laws after the fact to suit their immediate frustrations when in fact they really have only one real option open to them, remove him from office as it was hinted long before the election when it was brought up.
If the Russians or Chinese launched a nuclear attack, by the time Joe rememberd to codes, Washington would be a pile of nuclear ashes. ….which in some ways might not be a bad thing if Pelosi and schumer are still in town. When they hand him the nuclear football he would propbably try to kick a field goal with it through the golden arches of the nearest MCDonalds. They know Joe’s memory is several fries short of a happy meal and now want to share in military executive responsibilites in known acts of self-Preservation.
I think the communist occupiers cared very little who the “best chance” of beating President Trump was… they knew whomever got the nomination would win… given the amount of fraud they had in place coupled with the judicial and lame stream bought and paid for media support they installed years ago. The communist occupiers wanted someone they could get rid of when the time was right and it’s fast approaching. This whole swindle is so evil… so underhanded… it’s actually beneath the usual elitist cesspool/swamp scum operating procedure. I hope the military acts soon.
With how the upper echelons seem to be IN THE DNC’s camp, how exactly do you see them acting?
Hopefully shutting down the entire government by force and holding military trials for all the fraud and corruption under the insurrection order that President Trump signed back in 2018. It’s my understand the military has completed the investigation… now act on it… for God’s sake.
