Hundreds of companies and executives signed onto a new initiative Wednesday opposing “any discriminatory legislation.”
In other words, they signed on to stand united against efforts to ensure election integrity.
As corporations big and small face increased pressure to cater to the woke left, this marks the biggest chain of pro-left solidarity by the businesses community.
The statement was organized by Kenneth Chenault, a former chief executive of American Express, and Kenneth Frazier, chief executive at Merck.
Companies like General Motors, Netflix and Starbucks hopped on board.
“It should be clear that there is overwhelming support in corporate America for the principle of voting rights,” Chenault said.
While the statement addresses voting rights as a whole, there is no specificity or opposition of individual bills.
“We are not being prescriptive,” Chenault said. “There is no one answer.”
Frazier urged that the statement was intended to be nonpartisan, arguing that protecting voting rights should receive bipartisan support.
“These are not political issues,” he said. “There are the issues that were taught in civics.”
But, this issue is blatantly political, with businesses being forced to speak out or face cancelation.
Interestingly enough, Coca-Cola and Delta, both of which condemned the new voting law in Georgia, both declined to add their names. Home Depot also declined, saying Tuesday that “the most appropriate approach for us to take is to continue to underscore our belief that all elections should be accessible, fair and secure.”
JPMorgan Chase also declined to sign the statement, the New York Times reports.
“We publicly made our own strong statement last month about the critical importance of every citizen being able to exercise their fundamental right to vote,” a spokesman for the bank said Tuesday.

What we heard from these corporations were pious platitudes which make for nice sound bites but don’t actually tell anything about how citizens’ accesibilty should be carried out. Where voter I.D. has been in effect for a long time there doesn’t seem to be a problem, if that’s the REAL problem, how else in this day and age can poll workers know who is voting. Once workers at the polls knew practically everyone who voted, they still do where I vote and have my paperwork ready before I get to the desk. If the liberals think poor and black people aren’t capable of securing I.D.s, which are readily available, maybe they are incapable of making rational ballot choices, that’s where harvesting and blanket mail-ins are useful, no real verification. It’s too bad the companies mentioned in the hundreds list have allowed themselves to be bullied into taking a stand, then again it’s all about liberal progressive politics and the art of deception and power.
HOW many of those companies, REQUIRE CUSTOMERS To have ID’s to purchase their products, or use their services!
“Kenneth Chenault, a former chief executive of American Express, and Kenneth Frazier, chief executive at Merck”, part of the “woke culture communists”, who do not want voter integrity and who support censorship.
THAT IS WHy we the people, need to kNOW WHO these corps are, and boycott the hell out of them!
Ah yes, the CEO’s of these organizations once again disapprove the theory “the corporations in America are led by the best and brightest”!
WHat makes me laugh, is the leader of Coke, sounds like he’s from SOUTH AFRICA.. A NATION Where you NEED to have PHOTO ID to vote…
Anyone have a list of these “hundreds of corporations”? They all need to be canceled by Americans who love their country. If Netflix has signed, we need to find a different TV option. Not sure who isn’t “woke” in the TV world, but we’re doing our best. I keep a combined list, so not signing THIS piece of paper won’t get Home Depot and JP Morgan Chase off the hook. Someone needs to start a patriotic bank, because I desperately need to get away from these crazy globalist bankers. There is so much to do to push back against the businesses trying to control our lives. But we can do it if this type of information is more thoroughly broadcast to the people. Just put out the names, and let people decide for themselves.
