Some Utah Republicans are hoping to censure Sen. Mitt Romney for voting to convict former President Donald Trump in his second impeachment trial.
The motion, being circulated on social media, says Romney failed to “represent the average conservative Utah Republican voter” and “misrepresented himself as a Republican,” when he ran for office.
The Utah Republican Party’s top leaders are not behind this effort. Instead, the party issued a statement Monday noting that both Romney and Sen. Mike Lee, who voted to acquit Trump, have faced criticism for their impeachment votes. “The differences between our own Utah Republicans showcase a diversity of thought, in contrast to the danger of a party fixated on ‘unanimity of thought.’”

The petition, which is circulating on social media, accuses Utah’s junior senator of having failed to “represent the average conservative Utah voter,” as well has having “misrepresented himself as a Republican,” according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
“Senator Willard Mitt Romney has prioritized his personal and political vendetta against President Donald J. Trump ahead of the Constitution of the United States, the interest of We, the People, and the advancement of the Republican Platform,” the petition alleges in part.

In 2 years, the people of Utah will have the opportunity to primary willard out of the senate. Will they do it, or will the voting machines, or the vote counters, keep him in office?

He is a political empty bag who cannot stand upright, in need of a Conservative filling station. A man from Salt Lake who uses the party like a deer uses a saltlick.
Calling Romney a RINO is an insult to all RINOs. Romney should be summarily thrown out of the GOP.

Unfortunately, Romney still has 4 more years in the Senate, unless he is impeached or recalled. I think that a lot of Utahans are having ‘Romney remorse’ now.

Willard the rat romney needs to drop all pretense about him being a republican and just admit that he is in fact a lying rat of a communistic DEMONcrat. He has for all intents and purposes given himself over to the dark side of things he has lied and cheated to get what he wants, he has made deals with drug dealers to get get a good part of the money he has. The romney needs to step down while he can else he just may get removed for being a duplicitous creature of the DEMONcrat variety.

It’s time that the grass-roots Republicans who nominated Donald Trump contrary to the establishment continue to make their voices heard. That establishment failed them again and again now they realize what power they do have to make the party more in tune to the public and not the elites.

Mittens, no doubt, is deep state, but I don’t think he is smart enough to be an “agent” I really believe he and/or his son (can you say Burisma? can you say China?) are dirty clear up to their eyeballs and simply want any investigations to go away, just like the rest of the swamp. So again do not give mittens the benefit of doubt that he has enough brains to be an “agent,” in fact NEVER underestimate his ignorance.
Voters need to do their due diligence and look into records of Republicans they are voting for. These RINO, ‘R’ beside the name hurt ALL of us, not just the Republicans in your particular State. We, in Oregon have not had a Republican governor since they enacted mail in voting in 1984 under a Democrat Governor. But when that voter pamplet comes in the mail, I read it cover to cover. We never get to win, but I for one still get my vote in just in case. Portland has the only votes that count here and you see the hell hole it is.

Willard is an easy read, look beyond his words, his appearance, there is not sincere bone in his body, no honor, no integrity, he is clearly a hollow man, he lacks a soul.
He got elected because he is a Morman.

Romney a deep state agent? I don’t think he has what it takes. But he is clearly a deep stab in the back. Must’ve taken lessons from McCain. But McCain kept getting re-elected because the voters in Arizona refused to give another republican a chance. I’m glad to see the voters of Utah aren’t going to make the same mistake Arizona did. Beside that, Romney is also a piss poor Mormon. If he were true to his faith he would remember the words “Vengence is mine saith the Lord.” Romney is about as much of a Mormon as Biden and Pelosi are Catholic.
