Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez knows how to ruffle more than just politicians’ feathers: now she’s got the women of “The View” melting down, too.

An argument involving the Congresswoman turned into a full-blown shouting match Tuesday between Joy Behar, Meghan McCain and Sunny Hostin about infanticide and the political parties.

The fiery fight started when Behar brought up the freshman pol saying young people “have a legitimate question” about whether to bring children into the world considering the effects of climate change.

Hostin said it was a sentiment that some research supports. She noted the birth rate in the U.S. has been falling for a decade and studies show climate change plays a large role in people’s childbearing decision, especially among young adults.

She did not say what report she was talking about, but a New York Times article includes many of the anecdotes she mentioned.

McCain eventually jumps in to upend the conversation and talk about Ben Sasse’s (R-NE) Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. The bill would have put in place new requirements for the care of infants born after failed abortions, and could have sent doctors to prison if they failed to comply.

McCain said that all Democrats except for three voted against the bill, including presidential candidates Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

“This is an example when we’re talking about people having children and just how extreme the left has gone,” McCain said.

Hostin then tried to jump in to say she wanted to “push back on that.”

“On the Ben Sasse Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act? I thought you were pro-life like me,” McCain said.

Hostin said she is and that’s why she wanted to push back.

“So you think a baby born from a botched abortion should be put down like a dog or cat?” she asked.

Hostin again tries to give her reasoning for pushing back before McCain interrupts her.

“Disgusting. It’s infanticide” and “so, those babies should just be left to die on the table?” were among the arguments she makes.

Hostin goes on to say that a baby born of a failed abortion is rare and notes that there is already a law requiring doctors to provide medical care to infants born alive.

“[Sasse’s bill] also required that all babies born alive be immediately transferred to a hospital, which my understanding is it’s not always safe for a newborn, and passing this bill would impose legal and criminal penalties on doctors who don’t comply with that,” she added.

McCain blasts her, repeatedly saying “that doctor should be punished” if they don’t provide medical care for a child to survive.

Hostin raises her voice to say, “Can I just finish?” as McCain makes inaudible comments and Behar chimes in to end the segment by saying, “It would be nice also if the Republicans cared about children after they were born.”

When the show returned from commercial break, Hostin was able to finish her argument with no interruptions but not without one last comment from McCain.

“If the Democratic Party wants to be the party of infanticide, that is their choice,” she said.
