Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order which bans mask mandates in public schools and local governments. Despite Abbott lifting mask mandates and opening businesses to full capacity back in March, many school districts continue to force children to wear masks all day. What will blue states think about this?
With this new executive order, schools and other governmental entities could face a fine of $1,000 for not complying. This follows the announcement by Gov. Abbott that Texas is experiencing its lowest Covid numbers since the pandemic began.

Good for Greg Abbot going after the idiots / traitors in the teachers unions. However, the fines should be higher than $1,000.

Years ago in NYC the Transportation Workers Union went on strike. The union president went to jail and the union members were fined 1days pay for each day on strike. I know it’s frightening for teachers to be in a room full a 1st graders even though we are told that these children cannot infect others. Why can’t firefighters and policemen claim that their work environment is dangerous and stay home and be paid or is it just because the teacher’s union has bought and paid for the Democrats who run these cities?
THAT.. This is why i would love to SQUELCH EVERY DAMN teacher (hell ALL) unions.
Fining the teacher’s union $1,000 is laughable especially when the teachers are being paid thousands to stay home. There once was a time that the No Show Job scam was illegal and was punishable by fines and jail times. I guess when the unions pay millions to the democrats crimes are overlooked.

What will they do with all the face shields, rubber gloves, One time use pencils that can’t be loaned. Will they erase the little feet 6 feet apart and move the desks back.
Here in Long Beach they have done none of those things. They are back to school in shifts. 1/2 of the desks moved to storage. Plexiglass learning compartments (that become polarized and attract spit and every other kind of bug) no PE , etc. Kids go in shifts MW T Th. and stay home on Friday. Of course after school the kids in high school and Jr. High all get together and play or BS. or do what kids do. I drove around our local school. No masks. No distance, no nothing. It was great!

Did you know that in all of 2020 and thru Jan 2021 there were 207 covid deaths nation wide from those under 19? That is in a population of about 70 million.. There were over 400 suicides and about 600 from accidents. COVID did not affect this group to any extent at all. Abbot has nailed it. The Teachers and their unions seem to be ignoring science and teaching kids how to panic into irrational behavior.
No PE? Hold on, i thought we had an obesity epidemic that needed to get addressed..
