The 9/11 families are telling President Biden to stay away from 20th anniversary events at Ground Zero unless he backs their push to expose suspected Saudi links to the terror attacks.
“If he doesn’t do something to uncover Saudi involvement he should stay away,” Brett Eagleson, who lost his father on 9/11 as the Twin Towers toppled, told the Herald Friday evening.
“I want him in this fight, but maybe this is the pressure we need,” Eagleson added. “He’s got to do something.”
The entire 9/11 group — 1,600 strong — signed and released a statement earlier in the day calling for Biden to fulfill his campaign promise and authorize the release of documents that detail Saudi Arabia’s role in the 9/11 attacks.
That statement, shared with the Herald, also points to possible protests if the president remains on the sideline in their fight.
“If President Biden reneges on his commitment and sides with the Saudi government, we would be compelled to publicly stand in objection to any participation by his administration in any memorial ceremony of 9/11, given its continuation of policies that thwart Americans’ rights to hold accountable those who, known evidence reveals, materially supported the 9/11 hijackers,” the group added.
Biden is expected to take part in Ground Zero remembrances on 9/11 in Manhattan.
A White House spokesperson told NBC News Friday that “our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones on 9/11, especially in these days preceding the 20th anniversary of the attacks … We look forward to having more to share in the coming days about actions we are taking to ensure greater transparency under the law.”
This comes just a day after Sens. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., and Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., called on the Biden administration to finally expose Saudi connections to 9/11 hijackers.
“We need to know who is our friend and who is our foe,” Menendez said Thursday. “We can never accept — never — that 20 years means an end to this chapter. It doesn’t.”
The senators and 9/11 kin have launched an all-out push to compel Congress to adopt the September 11th Transparency Act of 2021 — bipartisan legislation to improve access to federal 9/11 investigations — and stop “kowtowing to the Saudis.”
It’s specifically aimed at still-secret DOJ reports on the alleged involvement by Saudi officials in the 9/11 attacks by supporting some of the hijackers who arrived in Southern California long months before nearly 3,000 were killed that day. Two of the hijacked jets left from Logan Airport.
Lawyers for the 9/11 families have already been deposing Saudi officials in this case, but they are sworn to secrecy by the courts.

Since assuming office they have shown little respect for the rule of law or The Constitution, thehy have alligned themselves with the forces that seek to alter the Constitutional Republic form of government into something akin to a police state controlled by leftist liberals. Their attendance at any patriotic event would be an affront to the living who have sacrificed so much for our independence and an insult to the memories of those died to preserve it!
