Just how low can a network go? I can’t answer that, because when it comes to MSNBC, I don’t think we’ve seen the bottom yet. They just keep going lower and lower. Just look at what the network did with video footage from a recent Mitt Romney campaign speech. Instead of a comparison of government and the private sector like Romney was actually presenting, the network spliced footage to make it seem like Romney was out of touch with real America. Pathetic!

As noted in GOPUSA’s Fresh Ink posting, NBC has already taken a hit for altering audio footage of George Zimmerman to paint him as some kind of racist:

Here’s how the 911 audio was presented:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good or on drugs or something. He’s got his hand in his waistband. And he’s a black male.
Dispatcher: Are you following him?
Zimmerman: Yeah.
Dispatcher: Okay, we don’t need you to do that.

Here’s what actually was said:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.

Now MSNBC is going after Romney with the same techniques, and this is no accidental misunderstanding. When you see the two videos, it’s easy to determine that the whole point of Andrea Mitchell’s report was to show that Romney is out of touch. Check it out:

Mitchell’s opening line says it all: “Maybe this was Mitt Romney’s ‘supermarket scanner moment,’ but I get the feeling — take a look at this — that Mitt Romney has not been in too many Wawa’s along the roadside in Pennsylvania.”

Mitt Romney out of touch? It sure does sound like it from his comments right? Again, this is an MSNBC report, and the whole idea behind it is to show a “gaffe”… that Romney doesn’t know about real America.

The problem is that Romney knows America, and what he was actually saying in his speech is that there is BIG difference between how government operates and how the private sector operates. Here it is:

Thanks goes out to The Right Scoop for reporting on this story.

So what ever happened to journalistic integrity? What a joke! I would love to see an actual, real reporter ask Andrea Mitchell about her “news” report. It just goes to show that people need to do their own digging and not take things at face value. News used to be about the truth… now it’s just about an agenda.
