Whenever a left wing plan fails, as have all of Obama’s tax and spend plans, the only possible reason liberals can imagine is that the plan wasn’t big enough and didn’t spend enough. It’s never that the logic was faulty or that their plan would hurt rather than help the economy. So everyone get ready. Get ready for more of the same. Barack Obama has proposed another “jobs” plan, and on Monday he announced $1.5 trillion in new taxes. He wants to create jobs by further taxing the job creators.

It’s really insane when you think about it. The problem is that most people don’t think about it. They react rather than analyze. They latch onto the sound bite, rather than determining if the bite is really sound.

The economy is in shambles. Unemployment continues to remain sky high. The goverment has added more debt in the Obama administration than all previous administrations combined. And what does Obama say about it? As noted in the Associated Press story on GOPUSA, Obama said, “We can’t just cut our way out of this hole.” Oh really? Our debt and deficits are based on the fact that the government spends too much money, and yet we can’t fix the problem simply by spending less money? Of course not… that would be too simple. Why would a liberal do what’s simple and logical when he can do something stupid and expensive?

“It’s only right we ask everyone to pay their fair share,” Obama said from the Rose Garden at the White House.

In issuing his threat to veto any Medicare benefits that aren’t paired with tax increases on upper-income people, Obama said: “I will not support any plan that puts all the burden for closing our deficit on ordinary Americans.”

Responding to a complaint from Republicans about his proposed tax on the wealthy, Obama added: “This is not class warfare. It’s math.”

Yep… he used the “fair share” card, and once again, the “fair share” level is not defined. The so-called wealthy are already paying most of the taxes, and somehow that’s not “fair?” What IS fair?

In an Associated Press story on GOPUSA, the reporter takes issue with Obama’s rhetoric:

On average, the wealthiest people in America pay a lot more taxes than the middle class or the poor, according to private and government data. They pay at a higher rate, and as a group, they contribute a much larger share of the overall taxes collected by the federal government.

In 2009, taxpayers who made $1 million or more paid on average 24.4 percent of their income in federal income taxes, according to the IRS. Those making $100,000 to $125,000 paid on average 9.9 percent in federal income taxes. Those making $50,000 to $60,000 paid an average of 6.3 percent.

The Washington Times reports that in Obama’s plan those “$580 billion in newly proposed cuts are dwarfed nearly three-to-one by the $1.5 trillion in additional taxes the president wants to see going forward.” So, when Obama says that we can’t just “cut our way out of this hole,” what he is really saying (and proposing) is that we aren’t going to try to cut our way out of this hole. We are simply going to raise more taxes.

Bill O’Reilly focused on the taxation and bogus “fair share” rhetoric during his recent telecast. Check out what he had to say:

O’Reilly is right. The “fair share” rhetoric has got to stop! How do you bring a country together when Obama and other liberals continually try to rip it apart. Envy, jealousy, and greed are all used by liberals to pull Americans away from each other. Enough is enough! If Obama really wanted to help create jobs, then all he has to do is ask the question, “What environment is best for the creation of private sector jobs?” The rest will take care of itself.
