California’s renegade Leftist politics shows no signs of stopping, as it set up a travel ban on Thursday to four more states – Texas, Kentucky, Alabama and South Dakota – in order to protest their so-called “anti-LGBT laws.”

In addition to California’s attempt to become the first “sanctuary state” to harbor criminal illegal aliens and Gov. Jerry Brown’s stance against President Donald Trump’s decision to not join “global warming” alarmists at the Paris Climate Summit, its attorney general is moving the state even further Left by extending its pro-LGBT travel ban.

The ban on state-funded travel was declared on Thursday by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra – a far-Left-leaning Democrat who publicized the Golden State’s decision to no longer fund any trips to the four states as punishment for adopting laws that do not allow equal access to the LGBT community in certain circumstances to compromise the wellbeing and religious liberty of children.

He expressed his opposition to states that protect students’ religious freedom to practice their faith without being forced to abide by aggressive pro-LGBT policies, as well as states that safeguard children from homosexual adoption so they have the chance to have both a mother and a father. California formerly declared war on four other states that sought to protect vulnerable women and children from aggressive legislation allowing members of the LGBT community into restrooms and changing facilities such as locker rooms.

Ban getting bigger

Becerra’s so-called “anti-discrimination” move enforced to promote so-called LGBT “rights” is not his state’s first, as it has now doubled its effort to force other states to normalize the LGBT lifestyle – raising the travel ban to a total of eight states last week.

“California lawmakers passed a bill last year that bans non-essential travel to states that they believe discriminate against the LGBT community, and included in the initial bill were North Carolina, Kansas Mississippi, and Tennessee,” TheBlaze reported.

The state’s top lawyer is attempting to make pro-LGBT laws appear to be a civil rights issue.

“[The ban will ensure that California taxpayer money] will not be used to let people travel to states who chose to discriminate,” Becerra insisted, according to Fox News.

The state capital’s major daily, the Sacramento Bee, noted that representatives from two ultra-Left leaning organizations – the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the pro-LGBT activist group, Equality California – were standing behind Becerra at the Thursday press conference as he made his announcement attacking states not on aboard with his pro-LGBT agenda.

Last year, instead of pressing LGBT inclusion in adoption and school religious clubs, activist politicians and lawmakers in California targeted privacy laws that pro-family advocates saw as compromising the safety of women and children – who would be potentially exposed to sexual predators in vulnerable settings.

“California’s law gained attention after North Carolina enacted its so-called ‘bathroom bill.’ which prevented local governments from adopting anti-discrimination ordinances and required that people using bathrooms in public buildings choose the restroom that corresponds to their gender at birth,” the Sacramento Bee reported.

Punishing all for a few …

Tens of millions of state residents can be adversely effected by Becerra’s pro-LGBT move to forward his Leftist agenda.

The Lone Star State’s recent pro-family legislation was one of the major targets of Becerra’s war on those who do not promote homosexuality.

“Texas earned the ire of Becerra after passing a law in May allowing faith-based child welfare groups to deny services and adoptions to certain families under circumstances that conflict with the provider’s sincerely held religious beliefs,” TheBlaze’s Sara Gonzales informed. “Christian groups applauded the measure, while critics have said the law would leave room for discrimination against LGBT families.”

The Bluegrass State was punished for allowing students in faith-based clubs to freely exercise their religious beliefs on campus – without being forced to reject the Bible’s teaching on homosexuality as a sin.

“Alabama and South Dakota enacted similar [adoption] laws, while a law passed in Kentucky in March aimed at protecting religious expression in public schools,” Gonzales added. “The law allows student-led school clubs and organizations the right to refuse members on the grounds of a deeply held religious belief.”

The ban could very well harm student athletes – such as those on UCLA’s basketball team and other major college contenders – who might be precluded from participating in a future NCAA Final Four Tournament, Breitbart News noted. College football could be jeopardized by the pro-LGBT move, as well.

“Fresno State, a public California university, is scheduled to play football against the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa this fall,” Fox News announced. “A request for a legal opinion on whether public university sports’ travel is exempt from the ban has been filed with Becerra’s office, but no ruling has been issued.”

Not every state-funded travel arrangement to the so-called “anti-LGBT states” would be prohibited under the ban, however.

“Although the ban puts a halt on non-essential travel – like conferences or out-of-state training – it does include exemptions for honoring contracts that were authorized before 2017 and travel to enforce California state law,” Gonzales pointed out.

The spokesman for Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas), John Wittman, indicated that Texas will continue to be a draw for many Californians – in spite the ban on state employees to travel to his state.

“California may be able to stop their state employees, but they can’t stop all the businesses that are fleeing over taxation and regulation and relocating to Texas,” Wittman asserted, according to Fox News.
