GOPUSA - Young Patriots Essay Contest

Partners in Patriotism

In the Young Patriots Essay Contest, GOPUSA seeks to deliver a message of patriotism through the words of America's youth. The contest will consist of an essay on the topic "What it means to be an American" and will be open to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders across the country. The contest will run from Labor Day to Veterans Day.

A state winner will be chosen from all essays received in that state. Five national finalists and an overall national winner will be determined from the state winners. Contest winners will be announced in January 2006.

GOPUSA hopes you will support this contest by becoming a "Partner in Patriotism." Becoming a Partner in Patriotism requires no financial commitment or contribution. A Partner in Patriotism simply recognizes and supports the goals and objectives of the Young Patriots Essay Contest.

Specifically, as a Partner in Patriotism, GOPUSA requests the following:

  • The use of your name in promotional literature/materials involving the contest
  • A brief testimonial on your thoughts about the contest and/or GOPUSA
  • Occasional promotion of the Young Patriots Essay Contest in e-mail announcements to your constituents

By working together, we can generate significantly more response than if GOPUSA worked alone. With large contestant participation, we can show the country that America's youth care about America and the Republican Party cares about and celebrates America's youth. Please join us in our efforts.
