White House to Fox News: How Dare You Check Our 'Facts'

I must admit... I thought for sure that the Obama administration's "war" against Fox News would surely just be a skirmish. Think about it. Fox News is more popular than all other cable news channels, and yet Obama's minions still thought it was a good strategy to go after the network. Their actions paint a clear picture of an administration that is elitist and arrogant.

Rather than realize they are employing a game plan that will fail, the Obama team has escalated the war. Now they are not only refusing to supply any guests for Fox News programs, but they are also telling other news networks to "join the administration in declaring that Fox is 'not a news organization.'" Remember the picture that Obama and the media painted of him? He was supposed to be the person that brought the country together, right? What we are seeing through his use of race-baiting, prior administration bashing, and now the attacks against Fox News is that the arrogance and elitism of him and his advisors knows no bounds.

Obama advisor David Axelrod recently appeared on ABC's "This Week" program. Here is what he had to say:

Just think about it... Axelrod has the nerve to say that Fox isn't real news because it is "pushing a point of view." Hello! What is CNN doing? What is MSNBC doing? (Actually, who cares... no one watches them.)

In addition, Fox News is being black-balled by the White House, and guess why? Because they have the nerve... the audacity... the gall to listen to something Obama or an advisor says and then... verify the facts. Fact-checking is part of what a news organization should do, right?

As noted in a story on FOXNews.com:

The White House stopped providing guests to 'Fox News Sunday' after Wallace fact-checked controversial assertions made by Tammy Duckworth, assistant secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs, in August. [White House Communications Director Anita] Dunn said fact-checking an administration official was "something I've never seen a Sunday show do." "She criticized 'FOX News Sunday' last week for fact-checking -- fact-checking -- an administration official," Wallace said Sunday. "They didn't say that our fact-checking was wrong. They just said that we had dared to fact-check."

Earlier in the month, Dunn made the media rounds and said, "But let's not pretend they're a news network the way CNN is."

Appearing on CNN's John King program, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had this to say (or not say) about the White House strategy to attack Fox News:

If you haven't done so in a while, I invite everyone to watch a couple hours of CNN news programming. Observe the actual stories, note the guests and "experts," and realize what angle they are pursuing.

Obama and his administration can't even defend their own policies. They run for cover if a news organization actually checks the facts. The longer they keep up this strategy, the sooner the American people will figure out that Obama is a radical, that he has a team of radicals, and they are bent on "transforming" America in their own socialist image.

We should all "check the facts." We should all tell our friends and colleagues to pay attention to what is happening. A president taking on a news organization? How scary is it to know that the one news outlet that dares to "fact-check" and ask tough questions is being attacked by the president of the United States and his team?

This is purely Chicago politics. Seen it once, see it forever. ABC News needs to tell Team Obama to "shove it" and let journalism find new roots and find the truth. If it were not for FNC, we might never learn any more than what appears on the headlines of New York Times or Washington Post. How is that Hope and Change working for the USA so far?

I find it hard to comprehend that anyone selected to any administration would be either completely ignorant of the whole duties of professional journalists and media...the key word here is "professional" as opposed to "Fakes".

From what part of Kenya were they importated?
From what part of the Soviet Union did they once work?
From what part of Russia do they have a diploma from?
And...what makes them think their....does not stink?

Arrogance, Arrogance, Stupidity, Uneducated Trash, a Disgrace to their Country, a Disgrace to their family, a Disgracce to themselves...and Detested by those who have to work for a living, not taking handouts...likle Leeches!!

Just from where does he find these embarrassments...does he owe them money...or something?

When the next administration gets in, in 2010, Our White House must undergo a thorough fumigation for lice and vermin, and all utilities must be replaced. Now I know the meaning of the phrase: "We are in deep manure"

Too bad he doesn't remember that one of his campaign promises was to be the most transparent administration ever! Of course, I guess that doesn't include us "fact-checking" his statements. In his own words when he adopted the new "openness policy":
"this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information, but those who seek to make it known." Seems to me that Fox is striving to fulfill the latter part of that statement. This administration is bent on removing any and all who disagree with them. Sad days for America.

I used to have a great deal of regard for the American voter's intelligence and common sense. After seeing the parade of clowns that have been, and continue to be, elected, I no longer do.

The Obama Admin says they "control" the media and they do.
Being excluded as a controlled news media org is not so bad then?
Whether it is TV, Radio (XM-Sirrius), or the Web; Fox news is the only one I trust anymore. And that being said; I still check the facts on Fox too (DrudgeReport). And that is why Fox is the only news (Plus DrudgeReport) that I listen to or read.
The rest are in the tank for the liars and cheats that have all come out of Chicago to Washington.

I was taught to test and retest everything and if it passes the test then it must keep passing tests. One of the many attributes of liberty. America has been passing tests its whole exsistance. We will get through this test also. There are people that are trying to change the rules of this Great country. We know who they are. We can stop this. We must.

This is the most absurd notion to come out of the white house to date.
The only place to get the 'real' news is on Fox. I never listen to any other news outlet.
Someone has to hold this fake administration accountable, and only Fox is doing so.
One never questioned Hitler, is this where we are headed?
Did anyone hear one of the white house flunkies say that she believed that most Americans and Europeans favored Sharia Law?

I apologize for taking a second comment...Us old geezers are mad enough, and we should also be mad at ourselves, because we are smart enough to know better than to waste a perfectly good Vote on a peice of garbage.

But...I call out to the younger generation who, like their forefathers, were also young, and knew they needed Freedom to prevail. They banned together (Tea Parties), and sought avenues to Change this nation to the one others who came behind them would cherish! They brought us Freedom.

We are now on the threshold of Facist or Socialist, Marxist, but not Democracy. We have madew a Terrible Mistake in this last election. We trusted our Media, and ignored that they were Propagandists determined to destroy us and our Constitutional rights, they considered themselves Elite, and we were stupid enough, lazy enough to challenge them, and PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!

I call on this young generation of bright, dedicated Patriots to help us old geezers Right what Obama has made Wrong and intends to destroy! Young Patriots, you know who you are, our young military, ex-military, young lawyers, scientists, engineers, gardners, mechanics, factory workers, those who resent the unions, those who would sacrifice to save this country and keep it prosperous and strong!

There is only one word that describes the current administration in the White House, “Megalomania” (a historical term for behavior characterized by an obsession or preoccupation with wealth, power, genius, or omnipotence - often generally termed as delusions of grandeur or grandiose delusions). It is in this light that we see the real meaning behind the White House’s war against FOX news, a war even the sheep that follow them blindly question because they see this is a war that cannot be won.

It might be a tad insulting to compare FOX News to a dog, but the comparison to the “Wizard of Oz” is so compelling. The White House and the President stands behind smoke and mirrors proclaiming how powerful and wise they are, and FOX News is like Toto, pulling the curtain back to reveal just an ordinary frustrated old man. Sure they can attempt to say “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain,” but it’s too late.

CNN’s John King should’ve checked himself after that interview to see if he still had a set of b*lls because he obviously didn’t exercise them.

Rahm Emanuel’s comments should’ve been a huge red flag to all journalists. What self-respecting journalist with an ounce of integrity or self-respect would allow a member of ANY administration to dictate which news outlets should be taken seriously?? How long before CNN p*sses off the administration and THEY’RE on the hit-list?? How long before the New York Times or the Washington Post finds themselves black-listed simply because they expressed an opinion contrary to that of the White House?? John King had the perfect opportunity to knock it out of the park by simply pressing Emanuel; it would’ve been great television, an example of unbiased journalism, and would’ve been a huge hit on YouTube. Instead, King pushes that tea-bagger Anderson Cooper out of the way so that he can have his turn performing a Lewinsky for the administration. Nicely done, John…did you stain your dress?

Makes sense. CNN was instrumental in electing Obama (anyone that doesn't remember their biased support needs to review the election). CNN will certainly defend the White House right or wrong. Face it. None of the news groups actually report the news anymore (remember Britney). At least FOX isn't an extension of the White House. As long as FOX triple checks the facts they are reporting (every time!), they will still be the closest thing we have to free press. By the way, if I wanted to watch celebrity gossip or sports I would turn to that channel - news - nothing but the news. There are plenty of channels to select from to watch the non-news.

Go get em...FOX NEWS..good for you. The American people need to hear the truth about this President and his administration. They dont want to hear the truth, they are scared to hear the truth.

Soldiers are living the truth deployed every day...and the Administration should be living it as well, not trying to hide behind that blanket of freedom those Soldiers provide.

Keep up the great work and get way down in the weeds. There is no telling what you will find. Just promise the Americans that whatever you do find you throw it on the front steps and ask them to explain what it is. Apply some of that good ol' elbow grease for us.

Another bulls eye, Bobby. Considering the numbers for FOX, one may not be too concerned. Trouble is, this un-holy union between the current White House and the MSM is frightfully scary. And, if last November is any indication, most of the 'minions' still get their news from the 'drive-by-media'. But, I fear not. I believe us Tea Partiers, 912ers and all the other groups mustering for action, will be a force that will not stay home in 2010...at least I sincerely hope not...

Without Fox's Fair and Balanced coverage of all world events, the general public would not be aware of many things that are transpiring around the globe.

Regarding our disgraceful federal government, Fox is the only news agency willing to investigate and report the facts. The media in general terms is in the pocket of Obama, who has every intention of bringing down the greatest nation ever to exist on the face of our planet.

Me, my wife, and my daughters can only begin to understand the sacrifice made by you and your family over the 20 years of your service. That kind of dedication takes a special person - you - and a special support group - your immediate and extended family - to make that happen. We truly and deeply appreciate it.

I WILL speak only for myself when I say this: I am sick to death of politicians using our service men and women as a tool to evoke compassion while espousing policies that are unequivocally contrary to their mission. I have had the privilege of speaking in-depth with many of those who have served (Atlanta’s airport is a huge staging area for those coming and going in-theater) and to a person, they have strongly supported their mission. When I see Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid literally WISHING for defeat in Iraq so as to help further their political ambitions ALL WHILE PROCLAIMING SUPPORT FOR THE TROOPS, I literally want to see their heads explode. Seriously. It’s sickening. They seem to think it’s best to immediately bring home our troops with no consideration for finishing the job, and that sends a message, according to those I’ve spoken with, that the sacrifices made were in vain.

I saw a program last night that aptly described the situation on Extreme home makeover, Trace Adkins was helping with rebuilding a house fr a disabled Police officer when one of the builders came up and asked him to to domething a little quicker and Trace looked around and said "Now there's a fellow who'd cheese has slipped off his cracker.

So what happens next? Congress will never impeach him and I imagine ACORN and groups such as those are already getting illegals (who will be legal by the time we vote again) to register to vote (legal or not). All the sordid details of ACORN will be covered over by then, and we will face the same situation as we faced in 2008.
Seems we will be stuck with the man until 2016, and what will be left to recognize of these United States? When he can no longer be President, he will probably be the head of the New World Order and we will never be rid of his influence.
We need to take advantage of 2010 and put a lot of new faces in Congress!

"Trust, but verify!" Isn't that what President Reagan admonished us to do? He was speaking about Russian destruction of their nuclear stockpiles, but the phrase still applies.

This is the man who also stated (as I'm sure you've all read or heard) that: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."

This is where we are, people. We ARE that generation. If we don't stand here, freedom WILL fall. With all of the forces that are moving behind the scenes to bring us down (i.e. terrorism...oh wait...aren't these anti-freedom fighters now?), with our government actively moving against the will of it's people and doing the same in other democratic countries, with our so-called leaders cozying up to the tyrants and dictators we would have arrested or killed on sight not a year ago, the same government that has actively breached the fire-walls of the Constitution I swore an oath to uphold and defend against all enemies foreign AND domestic (as far as I'm concerned, that oath still stands Mr. Obama, Mr. Reid, Ms. Pelosi, and all you other crackpot whackos!), we are, as a Nation, adrift. As Mark Levin has said, "We are now flying without a Constitution for the first time in 230 years."

To coin a phrase from Michelle Obama: "For the first time in my life, I'm NOT proud to be an American." or "For the first time in my life, I am genuinely afraid of my government."

You folks who want to save this country from this "bloodless coup" need to understand that it was just as much the GOP's fault for not vetting him properly, and letting a RINO like McCain run (whom I voted for BTW).
However, there is a mechanism,other than impeachment, whereby We the People can remove a Constitutionally ineligible guy like Barry. Where were your Constitutional lawyers? You let Larry Tribe give his crappy definition of "natural born citizen" for John McCain and you were happy. Bull shit. Why was it good for McCain,and not okay for George Romney? (2 American parents and born on foreign soil.)
If anyone here wants to keep this country from going completely under, try to get in touch with Leo Donofrio, Esq. He knows how to remove him by "quo warranto". If you go to his blog http://natrualborncitizen.wordpress.com perhaps you could read the archives and his exploration of what "natural born citizen" is. EVERYONE please read these two books: "Public Education Against America" by Marlin Maddoux, and "How Now Shall We Live", by Charles Colson & Nancy Pearcey. If you read and ponder on those two books and still cannot see what Nobama is trying to do to our country, there is less hope than we thought. Read them, digest the facts, get fired up, and go do something in the next election (or before -- why don't we impeach a few?) to take back our country! While we're at it, why isn't someone filing a lawsuit to impeach Nobama on the grounds that he is not an American citizen? Why would he not just produce a birth certificate? Because he doesn't have one. He trots a minion out with a 'birth announcement' to 'prove' his birth in Hawaii. Get real and get a clue, Nobama. Those of us who have a brain didn't buy that for a second.

Although any of us who do critical thinking and try to be at least a little objective already know most of the liberal lamestream media has been and is in the tank for Obama, actually this dust-up the White House has decided to have with FNC could make that fact glaringly obvious to even those who so far have failed to see it or been in denial that it's true.

Now you have the spectacle of White House top advisors going on the other networks and telling them how to conduct their business with FNC, patting some of them on the head for being "real news organizations" and telling them to shun FNC.

The degree to which the other networks do so will be even clearer evidence of just how much they dance to Obama's tune, but surely some of them at least will be smart enough to see that they are being patronized, manipulated and told how to conduct their business.

I don't know about them but, as a grownup, I would really resent that.

To vrajavala, I think it bears mentioning that in spite of leading in the primaries, that George Romney's response to the realization that he did not qualify to be president, was to step down declaring that the constitution was clear and he did not qualify to president. But at the same time I think we have to give a little bit of break to Senator McCain; in that his parents were out of the country in service to the country. Although Gov. G. Romney's parents were honorable and raised an honest hard working son, they were not in Mexico in direct service to the country that they were citizens of. Yes I voted for McCain, but I would have rather, although not necessarily as a first choice, have voted for the next generation Gov Romney.

Am I the only one that noticed that the other news agencies stop reporting the news a long time ago. That includes the major news papers too. I realized this some years ago when a gun on a college campus and they reported he was subdued by two students. What they left out was that both had concealed to carry permits. They both retrieved their guns from their cars and confronted the armed gunman. At that point he laid his weapon down and the students held him till the police arrived. That is when I decided that these so called journalist were not reporting the news but shaping it to what they want to see. They hate to let anyone know that owning a gun can be a good thing. One other thing I read @ newsmax.com that almost 50% of FOX viewers are Democrat and independents.

When I asked him why he read the most conservative of the news magazines, he replied, because the conservatives lie less than liberals.

so let me understand what the WH is saying here, they don't like people or organizations with a differing point of view? hmmm last time i checked, we were free to voice our own opinion without fear of reprisal from the government, this little thing known as freedom of speech would would seem to apply here. i am seriously afraid for our country, the WH is now saying there are no "christmas trees" they are holiday trees! they are undermining everything that this country stands for and the principles that it was built upon! freedom of speech, freedom of religion come on what is next? they have already spent us into debt like nothing the world has ever seen in a very short period of time and have nothing to show for it. i am disgusted with the current administration and how they are treating us and what they are doing to our coutry. hell bill clinton looks like a savior compared to this crew!

All Obama & his minions did when they decided to come out against FOX News, is expose themselves as the radical socialists they really are. Now we can only hope most of the nation realizes these attacks are dangerous & they portend even greater danger for all Americans who would be subject to such attacks if they dared to speak out on an issue or subject in contrary to what the administration is pushing.
I knew we were in REAL trouble when President Obama said at a speech one day, he did not want to hear talking from those he says made the mess. He seems to think anyone who is not on his side made the mess & its their job now to shut up & do what they are told. How democratic of him!
This administration continues to expose its evil each & every time they lash out at anyone who dares to voice an opposing opinion.
Its pathetic, in the extreme.
