It's really sad to see the state that this country is in. Millions of people drank the Barack Obama kool-aid and grabbed on to "hope and change" as if it were some kind of actual policy. Now, when the economy is a mess, and we see Obama's glaring deficiencies on the world stage, there are still people who will vote for him no matter what. Let's take a look at a few...
First, check out this outrageous video. The video is an interview with a number of people regarding the terrorist attacks in Libya which claimed the lives of four Americans. Many of the people in the video are not Obama supporters, but check out the ones who are!
Here's a sample:
-- "I give respect to those people in Libya who shot that diplomat because at least somebody -- there's somebody not -- murder, it isn't the way to go. But Libya has just stood up and said that, 'We're not gonna these drones in our country anymore attacking our kids.'"
-- My response is "who cares." He's one man (referring to murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens).
Are these people for real? Unfortunately, yes! But it gets even worse. Howard Stern recently interviewed a number of Obama supporters. Here are some examples of their responses:
-- He got the medical thing goin. He got most of the job like he said he was. You know what I'm sayin'.
-- (Do you think he will eventually find and kill bin Laden?) Answer: He'll eventually do it.
-- (Do you think Obama made the right choice by choosing Paul Ryan as his vice president?) Yes.
-- (Do you think he picked Paul Ryan because he's African American or because he's qualified?) It could be a little bit of both.
These people vote! It's incredible. It's no wonder that Obama just throws out feel-good phrases, because that's all he needs to do. If people have no idea what's going on, maybe they should just stay at home and NOT vote!

Back during my dad’s day he was a staunch Democrat. He voted party line and pulled the lever for whoever the Dems put on the ballot. He was known as a ‘yellow dog’ Democrat because it was said that if the Dems ran a yellow dog they would vote for it. I loved my dad and many of the people he supported I would have upchucked over. I have never voted for the Dems in my lifetime after having watched the fiasco at the 1968 Dem Convention. There are still a lot of party loyalists to the Dems in our day; they are going to vote Ozero and you cannot persuade them otherwise. But if these people would only look at the greater good of all the nation they would vote Romney / Ryan.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:32 pm
billwv,
My parents were exactly the same way, but you need to remember that the Democrat party of our parents’ day is NOT anywhere near the party of socialists who call themselves Democrats today. They have been hijacked by the liberals who want nothing but power and control and could not care about the “greater good of all the nation”.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:47 pm
Are all these people on crack? they do not know the issues the canadates or who the vice pres is now, or romneys running mate, then they got thier little conspiracy theories, then they condone all out murder of our people, unbelievable! they have no real answers just sheer fantasy wow.its like they r puppets on strings they believe whatever the main stream media puts out there but they then get thier news all screwed up and turned around.wow and these people vote? no woder this country is going in the crapper.and they think macain is running or sarah palin, and they dont even know that bin laden is dead these people dont have a clue just the kind of people obama loves. you could probally tell them that obama is running under the ghost election name ”romney” and to vote for that guy then romney would get all the votes haha
September 25, 2012 @ 2:01 pm
Obama’s Hope & Change was a fill-in your own definitions in his generously given blanks. Those fill-ins were unrealistic, extreme, and downright stupid. Then to prevent Obama from being set up to fail…Obama’s handlers told him to blame Bush and deflect the disappointment from off himself. Obama voters are sticking with their fill-ins, because they still believe in their dreams regardless and not the snake oil salesman. I believe that many of them, once alone in a voting booth, will not vote for Obama again.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:40 pm
Some may not vote for O then, but I’ll bet most will. When people make a wrong choice, they hate to admit they were wrong. They should have learned as a child to accept that they making a mistake and admit it. Like saying, ‘I’m sorry’. Too many can’t say that either. Very unfortunate.
September 25, 2012 @ 2:32 pm
Goldmen Sach’s is funding both canidates. who do you think they will be holden too? we have been played for fools folks. both big govt canidates, who think they know better than us. both will increase the size of govt, both will get us into wars to feed the military industrial complex and listen to their money masters. we are nothing but tax slaves to the ruling class.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:30 pm
Sadly, RS, you are correct. Much of what the current two party system gives us are Democrats… and Democrats lite. Unfortunately that will not change until “we the people” make it change. And even then it won’t happen over night.
So unlike my hard-core libertarian friends, who will insist on voting for Gary Johnson, I will cast my ballot for Mitt Romney. While I fully understand that Mitt is not my ideal candidate, I also fully understand that Johnson does not have a prayer of winning. And every vote for him is a vote to return Barack Obama to the White House.
So, as I see it, our best option is to change the Republican party from the inside. Remake it into the Constitutional conservative party it should be. And in the meantime tolerate, as best we can, the lesser of two “evils”. And pray that our nation can hold on until the cavalry arrives.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:43 pm
Can you say TEA PARTY? If so, have you the will to VOTE for their supported candidates? That is the best vehicle currently available for the implementation of obviously sorely needed change in our political system and in how our children are educated. If we would see our country maintained in the traditions and values once held; it is IMPERATIVE that the return to fiscal, economic, cutural and educational sanity begins NOW! We no longer have the luxury of time as our situation deteriorates exponentially the longer this administration and ALL those in Both parties who aid it achieve its anti-American agendas, remains in power. Only a fool would think otherwise after witnessing the above videos. And, we cetainly have no shortage of those; both in and out of political office.
September 25, 2012 @ 2:39 pm
The Future of our Democratic Republic of America is in the hands of people who are not only Dim Witted, but stoned too. There should be a mandatory Drug Test along with positive Voter ID BEFORE these dopers should vote. It is time to thin out the gene pool. These people are not interested in the benefit of our nation or other Americans.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:38 pm
Hell, let’s make them pass an intelligence and civics test too. (not really since that would be unconstitutional, but the idea has its appeal).
September 25, 2012 @ 3:41 pm
Repeal OSHA! Repeal OSHA!
(That should thin out the gene pool.)
September 25, 2012 @ 4:55 pm
Barry Oblamer is going for the moron, empty suit, empty chair vote! And, believe me there are plenty of them. That’s why it’s important to get everyone you know to the polls election day!
(Nov 7th, if you’re voting democrat!)…1/20/13…the end of an error…!
September 25, 2012 @ 2:41 pm
It is too bad that our first black (half anyway) president had to be our far worst one ever.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:37 pm
I really believe that Obama not only set back race relations in the U.S. by at least 30 years, but he also made it almost impossible for another black person to be elected president for at least another 20-30 years.
September 25, 2012 @ 2:48 pm
This is pathetic. I doubt that any of these folks will realize it’s election day and go vote on November 6. At least I hope so.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:04 pm
I suggest the Republican party say the election will be the following Thursday. If these idiots say these comments, hopefully they can be misled here as well.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:55 pm
I always thought that Election Day should be moved to the first Tuesday after April 15. The large checks that many voters had to write out to the IRS would still be fresh in their minds.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:06 pm
These people (if you want to call them people) are dumber than a box of rocks! Hopefully they will miss the day altogether and stay in bed watching the “View”
September 25, 2012 @ 5:07 pm
That’s very insensitive of you…what has a box of rocks ever done to you to make such a deplorable comparison. I think you need to give the box of rocks an apology. …. The rocks are way smarter.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:07 pm
All I can say to all of you people calling anhyone DUMB….is who the hell do you think you are?? How dare you??? I think you are all big a holes.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:11 pm
Just a few people with a little common sense and since you have none; why don’t you troll elsewhere?
September 25, 2012 @ 3:21 pm
Right you are. Thinking Obama selected Ryan as his running mate in part because Ryan is black is a sure sign of brilliance, liberal version.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:35 pm
OK, the proper word to use is ignorant. These people are ignorant of what is going on in politics, and definitely should not vote.
Some of them may also be morons, but since I have not given them an intelligence test I can’t say with 100% certainty.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:49 pm
Are you one of the people in the video?
September 25, 2012 @ 4:42 pm
teryn0069, You may be correct. I may be an a___hole. But I am a smart A____hole. The people in both videos are dumb as rocks. They should have to pass a drug test and an intelligence test before being allowed to vote. I expect many of them would fail both. I think many of them could use a shower and change of clothes before going out in public again.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:58 pm
It’s just the people who can’t spell who bother me!
September 26, 2012 @ 7:32 am
teryn006 You are not making any friends here!
September 25, 2012 @ 3:12 pm
No worries here. On election day, most of these people will get lost going from their front door to their driveway.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:00 pm
I doubt if they have either!
September 25, 2012 @ 3:25 pm
My God. And these people vote. It gets scarier every day.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:10 pm
The fact that they vote is scary; the fact that they reproduce is terrifying!
September 25, 2012 @ 3:28 pm
These people are from New York–enough said! I doubt if any of these nuts vote.
September 25, 2012 @ 3:34 pm
It is truly pathetic that so many funtionally and politically IGNORANT people are allowed to vote. If it were not for these people, Obamm would not stand a chance based on his lack of accomplishment and utter incapability to comply with constitutional requirements. These deficient and delusional dimwits are sowing the seeds of their own destruction and ours and as far as I am concerneed, this is the deliberate result of a liberally oriented educational system that encourages people never to think independently or for themselves or to be informed about issues or even who is running and who is not. Palin is not a candidate. Ryan is not Obama’s running mate, If we are to believe Obama, who takes credit for the efforts of Navy Seal team Six, Bin laden has been dead and buried at sea since early May and NONE of these people are aware of all of the above and even more grievous idiocies. We need to establish competency tests for voting, obviously and just as obviously, the democrats would never allow it if they remain in power as this stupidity truly serves their agenda to sell us out to the UN by Treaty. God help America. As long as things are like they are; He is the only one who can!
September 25, 2012 @ 3:44 pm
Since ACORN is no longer able to pay for voters and voter fraud, there may be a few of these ignorant liberals who will not vote….votes cost money….
September 27, 2012 @ 12:15 am
ACORN basically just changed its name. We will have voter fraud. That is why they do not want voters to have a picture id. They singled out Republican leaning states like Texas to go after. If the election is close expect them not to give up by hook or crook. There is no way that Al Franken won the Senate race but they persisted and the election was given to him.
September 27, 2012 @ 7:31 am
Yes, that was outrageous. You can’t get a net gain of a thousand votes in a recount unless there’s something crooked going on. I still can’t believe they got away with that.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:04 pm
Unbelievable! I think the Founders had it right when they tied the right to vote to the ownership of property. You should have some skin in the game. It makes one a more responsible voter, less apt to vote for those who promise largess from the public treasury.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:51 pm
I wouldn’t be able to vote if they did that.
September 26, 2012 @ 9:55 am
Phil, property includes a car. Probably should not include owning pot.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:15 pm
Thanks BHO for our outrageously high fuel prices. Now my gas tank is empty just like my pocket book. With brain dead folks voting I guess I may as well get use to it. Some folks never learn and so we all have to suffer because of it.
Now for the truth. The video had nothing to do with the violence. These folks have been killing every since the world began. They blew a hole in the US Cole, they blew up the Twin Towers the first time, but failed to bring it down, so they came back and now it is gone. They simply love to kill and make war.
Want your head cut off? Then go to their country and hang around awhile, and someone will find an excuse to lop it off for you. I suggest all Obama supporters try that. Maybe then we can get rid of the country wrecker!
September 25, 2012 @ 4:31 pm
Good Lord in Heaven! These people shouldn’t be allowed to vote; they know zip about what is going on in the political world. They are almost as brilliant as some of the Hollywood stars who spout equally ignorant liberal nonsense. These interviewees don’t even know who is running with whom or that Bin Laden is dead…it is very sad; but that is part of the regime in this country–dumbing down our kids to this. God help us all if they actually go to the polls in November.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:52 pm
The good news is that most of them probably won’t.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:22 pm
Well Bobbie….these people shouldn’t even be allowed to walk around…. much less vote…let your heart not be troubled…most are afraid to regester for voting…they are too afraid they might be called for some kind of civic duty..like jury duty or God forbid pay TAXES or something absurd like that.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:32 pm
Political bologna has a first name it’s: B-A-R-A-K
Political bologna has a second name it’s: B-O-B-A-M-A-A
Lib’s love to eat it every day, and if you ask me why I’ll say
‘Cause Barack Obama has a perverse way with: D-E-M-o-D-N-A!
Have a nice day says I: Connor Vlakancic
September 25, 2012 @ 4:57 pm
Anyone who listens to those in either video should be able to recognize. THAT IS WHAT A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS have been brainwashed to believe, or to REPEAT.
Not one of them actually used their own BRAIN, and depended on the opinions…normally lies, to act as if they are far superior in intellect than everyone else. But EVERY ONE OF THEM can be BOUGHT for that Mighty OBAMA Bucks.
September 25, 2012 @ 4:59 pm
I forgot to remind everyone about the Opposite of Obama’s New Logo that says: “FORWARD.”
The Opposite of Obama Forward is.. BARRAK-WARD!”
September 25, 2012 @ 4:59 pm
These people demonstrate the wisdom of our founding fathers who established the Electoral College for selection of the President and the failure of our education system which cannot train an electorate that even listens to the question. And thanks to our news media, who have become a self-serving sea of misinformation. Looking forward to the November election coverage, several two hour programs called “Dancing with the President”. We will be able to text our votes in as often as we can afford the fee.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:00 pm
Most of the people in the first part of the tape looked like they were complete misfits. The people in Howard Stern’s video just shows how stupid the electorate is. Why would
O had any rating at all, if not for the idiots who know nothing about what is going on.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:29 pm
You know I took issue with the 47% that Romney said didn’t pay any income tax, but after hearing these lame brains it’s probably more like 57%. No worries though, they won’t even make it to the front door to get lost. They’ll still be on the crapper wondering why they’re there.
September 27, 2012 @ 12:30 am
Do not count on it. They voted in the last election. We were warned that this would be the dirtiest election ever. It has already happened. Obama has many ads out that are just flat out lies. Many base their vote on just a word caught here and there. I thank God we have 2 good candidates in Romney and Ryan. I did much research on Romney during the primaries. I found him to have the most conservative record overall of all the candidates.
Thses people have the right to vote and groups will see that they do. I do not take anything for granted in this election. If Obama wins we will not know this country. The person who would have the hardest trouble coming into office would be the one who followed Obama.
We need to get out all the votes we can…write letters and emails to papers..our family and friendss.
The main problemwith these people are the teachers unions. Our schools from kindergarten on up have been run for decades by these left wingers. They have destroyed our education. For the USA to rank 30 out of 40 in math in the top industralized nations is…is…there is no word to describe it! Even FDR opposed unionizing public employees.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:36 pm
These people are just your typical Obamma voter.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:38 pm
Just another shinning example of the wonderful job our public education system has produced…these “people” don’t know…and they don’t know they don’t know. I’m sure the poor under paid striking teachers in Chicago are proud to point out these fine highly intelligent upstanding citizens as great example of their wonderful efforts. It’s very unfortunate they get paid so little.
September 27, 2012 @ 12:35 am
Yeah 75,000 as compared to the average non teacher of 45,000. Many such as Obama strut around as if they are superior to others…..especially if they went to Harvard or are wealthy. I look at them and think …no you are not smart you are BRAINWASHED…..a product of our school system.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:44 pm
September 25, 2012 @ 6:40 pm
Easy for you to say.
September 25, 2012 @ 10:32 pm
google translation: By vote of the people killed Jesus of Nazareth and released Barabbas, but as we know “democracy is the worst form of government aceptuando all others” and as they say in my village; With these animals we must cultivate the land.
(aceptuando = except)
True that, Senor Perez
September 26, 2012 @ 10:11 am
I believe you are referring to the Democrat’s Symbol “Donkey” to plow our lands, <LOL
September 25, 2012 @ 5:50 pm
I’m an Obama supporter, as are many of my friends. We’re all very intelligent. Don’t you think I could go out right now and find a number of really ignorant Romney supporters? If you don’t think so then maybe you should join reality. I’ve seen so many Romney supporters that can’t even form a proper sentence, much less actually hold a debate and back up their claims with facts.
You’ll always be able to find idiots on any side. Look around. Idiots are everywhere.
If you want to discount Obama that’s fine. I have no problem with that. But at least find something legitimate to point out.
September 25, 2012 @ 6:18 pm
With all due respect I am wondering how people of intelligence can not see what Obama is, and has been, doing to destroy this country. He has encouraged race divisions, he has forced through the passage of a health care program that is not what it was promised to be either in cost or scope, he has been president under one of the worst time of unemployment with no solid ideas for correcting the problem. Fuel prices have skyrocketed, food prices have skyrocketed, and the number of people on public assistance has skyrocketed. We have not left Afganistan as was promised and our position in the Middle East is getting worse as we help to replace known dictators with unknown Muslim extremists. This is only a short list of the situation under Obama.
Is it possible to find ignorant supporters of Romney? Yes, I suppose it is. However, when you are claiming to support a candidate, to the point of voting for them, then you really ought to know who their running mate is (especially since they’ve been VP for almost four years)and that Ryan is the Republican VP and is white.
One important sign of intelligence is realizing that you made a mistake and correcting your actions accordingly. I had two family members who were staunch Obama supporters last election but after seeing the failing economy, broken promises, situations in the Middle East, and realizing that our country is being taken down a very wrong path they have excercised their intelligence (both have advanced degrees) and changed their support to Romney.
As has been said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Given where this country is going if you don’t want to see more of the same then don’t vote Obama. If you do, well, go ahead and vote but when things really tank you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.
September 26, 2012 @ 1:11 am
I think the definition of insanity fits here, or else you (Shannon) want this country destroyed.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:50 pm
There are many out there whose lives are focused on watching MTV, Snooky, reality shows, doing drugs and partying, etc. and the problems we have in Washington and the country at large are only a passing thing to them, if at all. They may catch Obama on Letterman or “the View”, or at some JAY-Z/Beyonce fundraiser being his charming smiling self and think he is doing a good job. They are totally ignorant or naive when it comes the “real world” and how government policies affect them, but, THEY VOTE, because that is how our system works.
The most destressing part of our election process is how it has become perverted and contorted into such a level of “gutter politics” and funded by billions of dollars to portray or create images of candidates both in positive and negative ways…all personal assassination or image creation, depending on the side you are supporting. It is almost impossible to sort out the real facts from the chaf.
I try to keep it simple. Obama and his administration are radically socialist, big government, weaker national defense, anti-capitalist, and support a huge and unaffordable entitlement state. The are controlled to a large extent by the large labor unions and think that they can spend their way out of every problem. This administration is basically a total failure in terms of dealing with our massive economic problems and their policies (particularly EPA oriented) are suppressing recovery. Recently we have seen how weak and disjointed their foreign policy is which is making the world more dangerous.
Anyone with real experience that is not a socialist could do a better job. Fortunately we have a great option in the Romney/Ryan team to replace the Obama administration. Everything else is just chaf. Turn off the TV and vote early for Romney.
September 25, 2012 @ 5:53 pm
We don’t allow people to drive without passing a driving test. Perhaps we need to initiate a test at the 8th grade level to ensure that people are qualified to vote. Most 8th graders are more informed than some of those on the Howard Stern video. There are responsibilities that come with living in a democracy and it’s time that people are held accountable for being informed regardless of their partisan preference.
September 25, 2012 @ 6:23 pm
Unfortunately, Romney isn’t an improvement over Obama. I can’t get enthusiastic over voting for either of them. Either write in Ron Paul or vote Libertarian is sounding better by the minute. Who wants it to be mandatory to buy healthcare insurance? NOT ME! Bring back our jobs before allowing government to add to our cost of living.
September 25, 2012 @ 11:12 pm
You need to go see the movie Obama 2016 and then read “The Amateur” and then compare work experience between the two and then see how you feel. And by the way, the Obama adminstration has been a dismal failure and almost anyone that has had any executive management experience running a company or major private enterprise could do a better job. Obama has never held a job in our private economy and has been strictly a politician and an academian. He may understand theory but when you have zero practical experience you are going to make all kinds of mistakes. This country deserves better and we have a chance to put a world class executive who has extensive leadership experience into the Presidency in Romney. It is all about knowing how to solve problems and providing leadership and Romney has successfully done that over and over again. You do not become a self made multi-millionaire in our country without being both intelligent, well trained, and willing to get your hands dirty and work hard. I also like the fact that Romney is still married to his high school sweetheart, has supported her through cancer recovery and MS, raised 5 sons together, and has given more money to charity then all of Congress combined.
September 27, 2012 @ 11:12 pm
Well, you can write in anyone you feel like or vote for a third party, but remember one thing. Every vote for a third party is another vote for Obama…………..
September 25, 2012 @ 6:29 pm
you can thank our wonderful department of education for the dumbing down of any one who is fifty years old and younger to the present time. generations which were targeted for duming down of which president obama is a part of. these people have had their thinking done for them and will always drink the “kool aid”. they are told who to vote for without question. while in college they are intiminated by their professors at the cost of not receiving their degrees if they do not vote for who the professor tells the students to vote for.
September 25, 2012 @ 6:36 pm
Using a Howard Stern interview in support of your argument makes you look as stupid as the folks you’re criticising. Just a thought.
September 25, 2012 @ 10:41 pm
1. It’s not Howard Stern doing any interviewing
2. Felix the Cat could have asked the same questions and gotten the same answers.
3. You thinking you’ve made a brilliant point when you haven’t only makes you look stupid.
Stern knows having a guy interviewing stupid people is good comedy, and this was incredibly funny (although pitifully sad as well, of course) and good for his ratings. Given the subject matter, this unfortunately was just too easy to do.
September 26, 2012 @ 8:33 am
There is a lot you can say about Howard Stern, but the man is indeed very intelligent.
Maybe you should listen to him more when he is making some serious points. You may often disagree with him, but at the very minimum the man will make you think something through before blindly accepting other’s opinions!
September 25, 2012 @ 6:37 pm
Interviewing the jobless is eye opening. YaknowwutImsayin…
September 25, 2012 @ 6:52 pm
Please GO SEE the movie, “2016″
I took my 15 year old to see it lst week and it was the most enlightening movie/documentary I have ever seen.
The teaster is correct, whether you like Obama or hate him, you DON’T KNOW him.
When you go see it, take an independent or moderate democrat with you. They will thank you after it is over.
September 25, 2012 @ 6:54 pm
People can be as dumb and/or as uninformed as they wish – and there are many. My problems begin when these people vote – and they’re probably going to. We know for whom they’ll vote, and if Obama wins, all of us go down with them. They’ve decided, without asking, to give our great America away. And with Obama we will go down. Did you ever think hypnosis worked that well – to hold people entranced for so long? If they’re not under a spell, they’re even worse, because they are consciously abetting the ruination of our country. With nobody in Washington with courage enough to stop it. Yes, it will probably be 30 years before we see the end of this tunnel. THANKS, DUMB VOTERS!
September 25, 2012 @ 7:10 pm
I hate to say it but I voted for Jimmy Carter twice. I was really angry when Ronald Reagan won. I was in my early twenties when I made those stupid, bone-headed votes. I wised up when Reagan ran against Walter Mondale, and I never voted for a Democrat since.
September 25, 2012 @ 7:52 pm
Don’t feel bad, I was a registered Democrat for 35 years before I woke up and smelled the coffee. It would be pretty rare for me to vote for any Democrat now.
September 25, 2012 @ 11:46 pm
Since you fessed up, I’ll admit to voting for Carter also, only once though. I’m from GA, 22 @ the time & Jimmy seemed like such a nice guy…
September 25, 2012 @ 7:21 pm
Personally, I think that no one should be allowed to vote unless they have served this nation is some capacity, military, police, fireman or something. Anyone drawing a check for support from the federal government cannot vote while drawing that check. Welfare and support such as this is a good reason not to allow them to vote. When they come off that payment they get their voting rights back if they ever had any. And no, I would not include part time unemployment payments as living on welfare. That is just someone looking for work that is out of a job.
These people would never serve this country and for good reason. They are collecting a check for doing nothing and would never consider serving in the military since they may get hurt. Most of them couldn’t pass the test anyway.
I am sick and tired of the politicians buying votes from these people and that was Johnson’s plan from the very start. How do you like his program folks?? How’s that great society working out for you? Ready to throw them out of office yet? It’s about time they are thrown out. We have let them get away with this kind of stuff way to long.
Those clowns that call themselves Congressman should have their pay cut back to about $50,000.00 a year, NO RETIREMENT and max of two terms. After that, they are on their own again and none of this retirement they get along with all the other perks they voted for themselves. We need to make this a government for the people again and not allow them to stay up there for 50 years. That was never meant to be a life time job, but a short duty tour that some served while spending a couple of years or so away from their normal occupation. We sure didn’t vote for all the perks they are getting. I think any pay raise should go before the people for a vote, not Congress. They have already proven what they will do with that.
Letting people like this vote is what will bring this or any other country down. As soon as people find that they can vote for the government to GIVE them money, a certain percentage of any society will take advantage of this and take all the money they can grab. Why let them? If they draw anything form the government in the form of welfare, make them work for it while they are on it. Nothing like this should be free.

mred,
I will try to just give a number of short points, in reaction to your post here.
1. Education (the lack of it, or the low quality, or the political distortion that has crept into it) obviously determines if people have the ability to make informed decisions when they vote.
2. People that pay taxes (instead of owning property) should be able to vote, since this is a nation of ‘we, the people’.
3. Being able to make informed voting decisions is not currently given to a large percentage of voters, whether or not they pay taxes.
4. Thus: education to get them to that level is essential. And this ‘education’ used to be a Media function as well, by impartial journalists. You know, the type that has rapidly become extinct.
5. We have a real problem here, and there is no short term solution short of revolution (which I’m not promoting here)!
6. Politics being influenced by lobbying (vote buying) should be taken out of our system. I would be strongly in favor of measures to create a barrier between Congress and Executive Branch and entities that are trying to influence them to ‘buy’ their support! In my book that despicable activity is just corruption. I believe we need to go as far as banning ALL political donations, including those for people running for office at any level!
Instead of outside political donations, let the parties that nominate candidates pay for campaigns out of their own party pockets! Those party funds can be accumulated by party member donations to the party itself, but only from a regular party membership fee, not from extra donations!
7. I have no real objection to some people serving a lot of terms in office, but would love to see requirements for example for minimum age raised, to make sure that those politicians first accumulate some real life experience, so that they can be judged on a resume, instead of hollow words and promises.
8. Elected officials should have a decent income, and should NOT be allowed to have additional sources of income while they serve. That reduces the risk of corruption or conflicts of interest.
9. Finally, back to the media. The current Media needs a thorough ‘cleansing’ operation, so that we can get real impartial journalism again. That would open up a situation, where candidates will be forced to disclose what they really stand for. Currently that is not the case, and it makes for an extremely unfair battle.
Romney vs. Obama battle currently looks like a fight between a mean boxer that uses illegal punches and kicks against a candidate that has at least one hand tied behind his back, with all referees being supporters of the mean boxer, and most of the audience out for blood and big fans of seeing the most violent take downs.

The masses are *****!
September 25, 2012 @ 9:14 pm
Answer – VERY stupid. And I can’t think of a single country with a large population of stupid people that has done very well for very long.
However, BO only has “glaring deficiencies” if this was NOT the plan all along (destruction of America’s economy, and then of America herself). If that is the plan, then he’s doing an excellent job.
September 25, 2012 @ 9:31 pm
I have done some canvassing for Romney votes recently.
1 out of 10 people was registered to vote.
These were employed, educated, fairly articulate people.
I’d lay odds that the majority of these folks aren’t registered & don’t intend to register, much less vote.
(8 of the folks I spoke with are now registered – the 9th, referring to himself as a “die-hard” democrat, well…I just thanked him for his time)
September 26, 2012 @ 1:26 am
Here in California if you get a drivers license, or sign up for any kind of government aid (food stamps, medical, cash aid, etc.) then they ask you if you want to register to vote. They must be trying to propagate the insanity.
September 25, 2012 @ 9:32 pm
What a bunch of stupid ignorant degenerate people. They should not be allowed to vote untill they take an IQ test. Dumb, dumb, dumb! HOPE YOU LIKE SHERIAH LAWS HERE IN AMERICA STUPID PEOPLE!
September 26, 2012 @ 4:21 am
You took the words right out of my mouth. What a bunch of CLUELESS IDIOTS!
September 25, 2012 @ 10:16 pm
Blessed are the ignorant for the powerful elite can dazzle them with bulls*%t while pulling the rug out from under them. There is power in keeping people dumb and the libs pull no stops at making this happen. Welcome to the 60′s. Oh wait,it is 2012 and these are probably the children of the Woodstock 60′s liberal generation, but they are dumber than the former generation. Who knew. Has common sense gone out the window with them. Hope it is not too late to reverse things. If Obama gets in again, in no time at all we will become the United Socialists of America.
September 25, 2012 @ 10:58 pm
This is exactly why before ANYONE is allowed in a voting booth, they must be able to pass a basic civics and current events test. I’m tired of my vote being cancelled out by complete morons who don’t have a clue what’s going on.
September 26, 2012 @ 9:06 am
I would vote for it, if some politician was brave enough to write a bill to this effect!
Why let idiots rule the asylum?
September 26, 2012 @ 2:50 pm
agent007, as I said earlier, it may be a nice feel-good idea, but it’s totally unconstitutional and can not be put up for a vote.
September 26, 2012 @ 2:54 pm
Very true LAPhil,
I was dreaming away for a little bit

To answer the question of Obama voters; just how dumb are they? That answer is very simple. They are as dumb as dumb can possibly be. End of story.
September 26, 2012 @ 7:37 am
I said it before and I’ll say it again. If the “one” gets re-elected then we didnt want to or care enough to get rid of him! The people know whats going on and we have to get to the polls on Nov. 6th! Vote Romney / Ryan!

Response to an earlier post saying that in colonial America only landowner voted.
Actually in Colonial America if you didn’t own property you didn’t pay taxes and that concept went back to the times of William the Conqueror and the “Doomsday Book” that listed all the farms and owners to be taxed. Henry the Seventh refined the system by saying a duke to retain his dukedom had to furnish either 20,000 men at arms or the equivalent in cash. A knight was the lowest level of taxation at 5 men-at-arms and the knight got his revenue from tenants. As nation’s moved away from land–based taxation, from charges for using roads and from stealing your neighbor’s sheep, it was necessary to find other means of taxation, and the US in the 20th century decided on taxing income, commerce and industry. The more you made, the more you paid at the federal level. States taxed both income, consumption and industry and counties taxed real property and consumption. It was a simple system until government discovered they didn’t have to pay their bills and could promise the masses that if they voted for their favorite demagogue they would not be taxed, but others would be taxed to support them.
The income-tax system of taxing the rich more and the poor less has been very successful in this country with the upper 10% of income earners paying most income taxes, but now the demagogues in the Democratic Party have begun promising the 47% who don’t pay income taxes they will get even more if they vote for them. It is called the Mother-Goose concept of killing the goose that lays the “golden eggs” because these 47% have become greedy, lazy, envious and easily manipulated by those saying they don’t have to suffer consequences for choices they made as individuals. It basically is a shift away from the importance of the individual to an all powerful federal government.
We need a William the Conqueror to determine what can and should be taxed, a King Henry the Seventh to create a fair and just taxation system, a King Henry the Eighth to say there are no tax exempts sending the nation’s wealth to Rome in his Realm and a Parliament headed by an Oliver Cromwell that knows how to control royal edicts by beheading the King and exiling his successor until he agreed to abide by Parliament authority. Every framer of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the US Coinage System knew all these facts about English History as well as having read the writings of Payne and Madison on self government and Gibbon on why no nation could long survive as a Mob-ruled Democracy or Marxist State of the type we are becoming.
Education and an understanding of history have become a matter of national survival and yet we have allowed our system to become the least successful of any industrialized nation. We don’t have a unionized military and we certainly shouldn’t have allowed monopolistic unions to control our nation’s education or our public sector. These pathetic people interviewed for this OpEd piece indicate an educational system that has total failed in its job and needs to be replaced with a functioning system similar to that of other nations.

These potential voters are products of our American liberal education system – as are their teachers. Civics education and American history have lost value in the eyes of those who choose their curriculum. Also they are hung up on media values. After all how important is it that Madonna prefers Obama. She has found a way to get her name in the news again without paying for the publicity.
September 26, 2012 @ 6:40 pm
Well, you sure found some real goofballs there – and I’m sure you might find some similar folks who have swallowed the Tea Party Kool Aid, never mind the Karl Rove kool aid. These poor folks are clealry not the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree, but please be aware that they do not represent the goverment nor the administration. You guys have some who stray from the script – and some who think Sarah Palin is the second coming of Christ. So, for all you conservative Republicnas who think President Obama is the cause of all our woes – think again! The stock market is stronger than ever – because the rich guys club know that the Republican led House will not allow the tax increases that are not only needed, but justified. Romney says we can’t tax the “job creators” – but look at the facts – the corporations are sitting on more cash than ever – and will not hire workers because it might help re-elect the President. Rich guys rule, you folks are just schilling for them. Lots of luck!
September 27, 2012 @ 12:43 am
Tere wil be no tax increase supported by Reps for 2 reasons.
1. Taxes are not to be raised in a recession
2. The Dems want the Reps to vote for tax increases because they know if they do they will lose the election. Rep voters would just stay home. Remember Bush 41..no new taxes…read my lips. Well he went along with the Dems to raise taxes and cut spending….guess what there were no spending cuts..surprise! and of course Bush lost the election.
Raise taxes kill the economy even worse.
Raise taxes lose the election to the Dems.

It is amazing to look at these interviews. Our public education system has failed this country miserably. This blind dependence on government is supported by their lack of education and employability. They are willing to trade away their freedom for a welfare check.
Is it really fair to critize these black folks? Yes, I think it is, because these idiots are allowed to vote strictly based on their emotions, not their ability to understand the issues.
You can be assured that they will vote for Obama only because he is black, and for no other reason. They don’t have another reason. Is this racist or what? Why no outrage by the media? That of course was a retorical question.
