Here's a story that should get your attention. It got mine, because it comes from my home town of Victoria, Texas. But that's really not why it has everyone stirred up. A man posted a billboard along one of the streets. The billboard reads, "Pray for Obama." That part seems to be fine for most people, however the Bible passage included on the sign is a totally different matter.
Milton Neitsch, Jr. posted the billboard, and no, he's not being attacked by atheists who love to protest any public display of God or the Bible. Neitsch is being attacked because of the verse he picked: Psalms 109:8, which reads "Let his days be few, and let another take his office."
When I read that, it totally cracked me up. However, not everyone agrees. Here's the report from KENS 5:
Now, maybe it's just me, but I often have a hard time when people use the word "controversy" or "controversial." What Neitsch did was not controversial. To me, it was clever, but a person either likes it or not. The meaning was clear. Neitsch want's Barack Obama to go!
For people to protest and circulate petitions is just a waste of time. Neitsch can post what he wants, right? If someone wants to erect a different sign, they can do so. All this pressure that is brought to bear these days in the name of political correctness is just insane. It seems like no one is allowed to offend anyone any more.
Neitsch says he will take the sign down and put up another one. He suggests a sign reading, "Vote for the American." If that's the case, I'm pretty sure my home town will be back in the news.

I certainly believe in prayer: Prayer changes things and prayer changes people; YET my prayer is that God will replace Obama with a real President. My prayers are for this great nation and having seen the results of Mr. Obama on the country I hold dear; my prayer is his removal and the implementation of better ideas and better men.

I want Obama out as much as anyone, but if you’ll forgive me I’m going to play the devils advocate here for just one moment.
The Bible verse reads “Let his days be few, and let another take his office.”
That first part could be taken that the person putting up the sign had in the back of his mind with ‘Let his days be few” that he wants him dead. I know that’s NOT the case, but it could be taken that way. Some folks would twist it into that including the Justice department. Subliminal message and all that.

Morgan, the meaning doesn’t need to be “twisted” because that is actually what the verse is suggesting, but it must be taken in context. The phrase is part of a prayer to God requesting revenge on a false accuser:
“Do not keep silent,
O God of my praise!
2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful
Have opened against me;
They have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without a cause.

Actually it sounds like a legitimate description of liberal Democrats and the things they are doing. But it’s not talking about taking matters into your own hands, it’s asking God to avenge you against your enemies.

I also agree with ssgken that this same Psalm is cited in Acts 2 as a prochecy fulfilled when Judas betrayed Jesus.
But I just think anything should be studied in context. The liberal Democrats/Marxists like to take a phrase or sentence
out of context and make it say something it doesn’t say.
What I find amusing is the libs will complain about an “inappropriate” billboard but they will make vicious, lying attacks on conservatives while ignoring the “inappropriate” things Obama has said and done.

I do not think the pastor of the church should have asked him to remove the sign. She is stepping on his free speech rights. I love the sign and wish I had one like it. He should start selling them like the “I BUILT THIS” signs going up all over the country in protest of his goofy statement that upset most small business builders in both parties.
This election is going to be nasty and the Obamites are going to say and do things to show how mean spirited and trashy they can be. They have no soul. Lets get rid of them and stop abortion and a lot of other Godless things they are doing to our country. Lets turn back to our roots in God.
And while we are at it can we figure out how to get rid of Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow or whatever her name is…ugg.

Here is another one we should certainly pay attention to as well from the Bible. As you know, Obama has done many things to stifle the freedom of religion since he took office and shown an animosity towards those who worship. If we do not turn this around, we are asking for God’s judgment

But that’s the way it is in dictatorships. If you speak out against the officials, you are “investigated”, intimidated, and may even be incarcerated.
There is nothing obscene, profane, or vulgar about the billboard and therefore it is covered under the First Amendment. The man should refuse to remove it and let it go to court if necessary.
This same idea was circulated shortly after Obama’s election and the lefties complained about it, but there was nothing they could do other than criticize, and there is nothing they can do now except complain so the media has something to cover.

I think in all honesty, we all had hopes that Obama would be successful, but we have seen over the last nearly 4 years, that his agenda is NOT to help America, but to destroy it and make it a dictatorship, with him as chief. So it is time that we pray fervently as never before that he be taken from office and some one elected who loves this country and wants the best for this country. I wish Obama and his family no physical harm, but I think it is time for him to do something else. He is not experienced enough to be president, and he is a danger to this country.

You’re absolutely right Sirod, and I think that ALL politicians, not only the president has forgotten that they are working for us, and not the other way around.
In private business, no matter what position a person holds, whether it is CEO, or just a production worker, they work for the stockholders, and if they are not doing the job correctly, then they must be replaced.
What people have to realize now is that we still can control who works for us and our tool is the voting booth. If we do not utilize that option, pretty soon that option will be gone.

Why are the Secret service involved in this at all. The sign makes a good point and is non abrasive. It simply states the most peaceful thing to do to set our country free. He seems to be a nice man and will probably take the sign down because the pastor asked him to do it. I would not. I would put up another on on the other side of town.
Thank you for telling me the correct spelling of Rachel Madcow’s name . Have you noticed how angry and belligerent she and Chris Matthews always are and how they are so racist in their thinking. They would be out of business if they didn’t keep the hate groups fired up. They are so rude they ask questions and then shout over the answers to make their own point. I have only watched small parts of either of them. It does not take long to see their vulgarity. I sure don’t want to catch whatever it is that makes them so hollow and shallow. I would like for them to be locked in a room with Al Sharpten. They could all scream and bellow to try to prove which of them has the least class and civility. Or maybe they could try to see which of them is the most racist.

The Secret Service are looking into the matter. Why aren’t the Secret Service looking into the persons who put up the FB site —– Kill Mitt Romney. FB received comments and says the site meets its standards. I imagine a Kill Obama site wouldn’t be allowed since Zuckerberg is a big Obama supporter. This country has gone nuts. That would be a wonderful thing, but don’t hold your breath … with several billion or more in campaign advertising coming in what do you expect from the media, they are bought and paid for by campaign dollars and are licensed by the same government that that pays for that advertising …

BUT I hope they do not take the sign down. Leave it up to honor him. It is how he felt and what he wanted.
It was an honorable thing to do and made people think about God, the bible and prayer. We were already wanting Obama out.

This was the prophesy of King David concerning Judas who betrayed Jesus. Read further in the book of Acts, chapter 1, starting at verse 16 through 26. Emphasis needs to be given on verse 20 containing the word BISHOPRICK which has the same meaning as ‘office’. In other words, after the betrayal, it was urgent that his (Judas) days be few and in the scriptures it is well known that after realising what he had done, he hanged himself. After Judas’ death two were chosen and they gave forth lots to appoint one to take his place, verse 26. My opinion is that Obama is much like Judas in that he has betrayed America and all that it stands for, not to mention the citizens of this once great country. I say amen to the verse in question; Psalm 109:8 – Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

Victor, liberals know they are hypocrites, but they also know that conservatives usually will not stand up to them. Conservatives always seem to want to “get along” and don’t want to “offend” anyone, and that’s why the liberals are usually getting their way.
When liberals are confronted with facts they always lose, and that’s why they will not discuss issues. Instead they attack and create diversions to avoid the truth.

Psalm 109 is quoted in Acts 1:20 as referencing Judas. Since Obama betrayed the people who voted for him maybe this verse is fitting. Judas was also in charge of the treasury and stole from it.

The Word of God should never be used as a “quip”. I do want to see President Obama lose … by a landslide, however, not at the cost of using the Bible as a tool for jesting.
At the same time Freedom of Speech is a God given Right! If Mr.Milton Neitsch, Jr feels this sign is valid to him, then let it stand. I would never ask him to take it down, nor would I post it as it stands.

This scripture is not used as a quip. It is made as a fact and a wish. It is also my wish and obviously the wish of many others. The word of God is often used in prayer and it is used in this prayer.

I have been praying and urging others to pray this Psalm for Obama for over two years now. I pray this prayer daily for the O-man and will continue to say it until this fraud goes to prison for the all the felony and misdemeanor crimes he has committed.
Forged social security number
Faking he is a US citizen
Obtaining scholarship money via the Fulbright foreign student program.
Failing to admit where his passport in the 1980′s was issued.
Denying his muslim faith saying he is a Christian. (not a crime just another lie)
Losing his law license in Illinois for not admitting to using an alias.
Deceiving the American people with lies, deception and diversions.
And TREASON against the USA by failure to protect our borders from foreign invaders who he calls undocumented citizens…what a joke!

See what a good thing this man did by putting up this sign. He has all of us talking about scripture and what God can do if we trust in Him and pray. Thank you for this sign Mr. Neitsch. Thank you for helping us to remember who is truly in charge and who made us a great nation.

I grew up in a country run by a dictator.
I am an American.
I despise what so many ignorant AMERICANS are allowing and willing this (IMO) traitor to do with our great nation.
I chuckled when I first read the bumper sticker, to the effect that “Liberalism isn’t a way of thinking, it is a disease.” I’m not chuckling any more. It’s pathologically TRUE.
I’m preaching to the choir, here, but it’s either o’bama (doesn’t rate capitalization) or the USA as we know it. Both cannot survive.
