Planned Parenthood Pours $1.4 Million to Obama Campaign

By Bobby Eberle

Planned Parenthood is feeling the heat and stepping up their efforts to get Barack Obama reelected. In an effort to continue the practice of abortion on demand (at any time, for any reason), Planned Parenthood is couching their support for Obama under the issues of "health" and "economics."

As noted in The Hill, "Planned Parenthood endorsed President Obama's reelection Wednesday morning and slammed Mitt Romney for what it called his 'harmful positions on women's health.'"

Here is their video statement:

It's always the same smoke and mirrors. Within the first 15 seconds, we already hear about "protecting women's access to basic health care." Come folks! Whether you believe abortions should be allowed or not, let's at least get on the same page and have an "apples to apples" debate. Most abortions have NOTHING to do with a woman's "health." They are performed for convenience. The unborn child is a nuissance... a burden... an inconveience. And the law of the land allows that unborn child to be killed.

In most cases, birth control pills are NOT part of basic health care. It's so someone can have sex without worrying about getting pregnant. Don't have sex, and the pills aren't needed, right? Yet Planned Parenthood considers birth control pills to be a "right" that the tax payers should fund. Nonsense.

Here's more from The Hill.

The group rarely gets involved in presidential campaigns -- this is only the third time it has endorsed for president -- but it has become increasingly politically active in the past two years, since House Republicans pushed to cut off all government funds for the group, which mostly focuses on preventive care but also provides access to abortion with non-governmental funds.

The group's comments play into the Obama campaign's argument that Romney and Republicans are waging a "war on women."

Planned Parenthood also launched a $1.4 million ad buy blasting Romney, targeting a statement he made saying he would "get rid" of the group and citing his opposition to abortion rights. The ads will run in West Palm Beach, Des Moines and Washington, D.C., targeting female voters in the key swing states of Florida, Iowa and Virginia.

Here's the ad:

You can feel how you want about abortion, but the fact of the matter is that Planned Parenthood exists because of the BUSINESS of abortion. And just like any business, they will do anything they can to ensure that they can provide the supply for the demand. It's funny how the left can embrace economics when it works for them.

An “ordinary” 501C3 charity is prohibited from promoting any political agenda but there are no rules, apparently, for Planned Parenthood. They claim to be a charity, take contributions and government funds yet they are active politically.
There are rules and then there are the other (lack of) rules for those who are “Politically Correct”.

The “Planned Parenthood Action Fund” is a different organization than “Planned Parenthood” the organization that’s the 501c3 and provides basic health services to women. The fund doesn’t take government money. It operates solely out of political donations from it’s donors.

This spurious organization was instituted by people who like one of it’s founders, Margaret Sanger, were dedicated to the extermination of one particular race. They are still serving a large portion of that “community”.

Because of the number of aborted potential Democrats, I can easily see why it is necessary to control the media and the public school (indoctrination) system.

BTW…………Roe vs Wade had nothing to do with abortion per se. The case was brought on the basis of privacy between medical provider and patient. If the issue of abortion were to brought to the Supremes, the result might be VERY different!

The rest of your comment is nonsense and undeserving of comment.

Tax payers should never fund organizations that contribute to political campaigns. If an organization has a legitimate need for funds then it has no money to contribute to political campaigns. Also, the Federal Government should never fund Activist organizations of any kind – racial or otherwise, including the EEOC. These organizations promote racism and divisiveness. Other examples of activist organizations run amok are the FDA and the EPA. The FDA does not appear to be making any significant contributions to the quality of medicine: In fact, the FDA appears to be hindering the quality of medicine because of its bias toward Big Pharma. It is reasonable to assume that the FDA carries substantial blame for the fact that there are no cures for chronic diseases – that our medicine is all surgery – “the medicine of last resort”. The local citizenry need to be policing the environment in the areas in which they live, not the EPA. The EPA is an expensive boondoggle that thwarts business and costs citizens an untold amount of money for dubious EPA approval on the products they buy and land they own, in addition to the cost to tax payers.

Giving gov’t money to pp is immoral at the very least. While we are talking bout pp, where are these mamograms and sonograms provided at pp facilities? The organisation has one primary focus, killing unborn people. And to those who say this is a womans rights issue, why do they abort male babies then? This is a human rights issue. Obama wants us to be like China, where the least able to fight back are terminated. I am finally seeing the Catholic church doing something right for a change. I never could understand their support for democrats. I don’t remember where it cam from but it’s like chickens supporting Col Sanders KFC.

This recent expose about selective gender abortion by Ms Rose is even disgusting. To me, this is discrimination against women, that a woman life is less valuable compared to men and BO and the Dems tell you that they are for women??? Wise up folks!

Also I like to know where PPH got the $1.4M to distort the truth against Gov Romney. If they can afford this kind of money, they sure as well do not need government funding!

If you wish to change my mind on the abortion issue, it would be simple.
Get all the Right To Life people to sign a petition amd promise to, in their turn, adopt every baby that would be aborted, black, white, Hispanic, etc. You could get your normal tax deduction for a dependent but no government aid whatsoever. No welfare, food stamps, etc.
You who are so entrenched in your beliefs should have no problem getting this small thing done, right….I mean your pious attitudes should be backed up with your money, not mine.

Obama and the Liberals can’t pay for campaign ads with Federal funds but they can fund an organization like Planned Parenthood and in turn they fund the campaign ad. Same applies to when they provide stimulus funding to their friends who in turn kick it back as campaign contributions.
