In a state where illegal immigration runs rampant, Mexican drug dealers cross into U.S. land, and the federal government continually tries to crack down on the state's efforts to enforce immigration laws, it's no wonder that Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has a hard time with Barack Obama. Those feelings were on full display when Obama traveled to Arizona and was greeted on the tarmac by Brewer. Apparently our commander-in-chief is a little thin skinned.
As noted in The Hill, "After welcoming the president upon his arrival, Obama told Brewer he didn't like the way he was characterized in her book, 'Scorpions for Breakfast,' the governor told reporters traveling with the president."
"He was a little disturbed about my book," Brewer said. "I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president."
But Obama "didn't feel that I had treated him cordially" in the book, the governor said.
According to the traveling media's pool reporter, Brewer asked Obama if he had actually read the book to which Obama replied that he read the excerpt.
She said the president brought up the book.
"I thought we probably would've talked about the things that were important to him and important to me, helping one another. Our country is upside down. Arizona was upside down. But we have turned it around."
It was clear from the moment they greeted one another that this would not be a run-of-the-mill encounter between the president and a local official. At one point, she was pointing her finger at him and at another, they were talking at the same time, seemingly over each other.
He appeared to walk away from her while they were still talking, and she confirmed that by saying she didn't finish her sentence.
The relationship between Brewer and Obama has been tense for some time. When Arizona enacted an illegal immigration law to try to do what the federal government won't, Obama directed his Justice Department to sue the state.
But apparently what all this comes down to is that Brewer did not give proper deference to Obama the King, and Obama got his feelings hurt. If he'd be more concerned about the American people and less concerned about living like royalty, we might actually get things done in this country.

Governor Brewer gives Obama a mouthful and the index finger, Obama gives us a mouthful and the middle finger. So just who is politically astute and who is the political A$$ toot.
Obama just once again continued to toot forth a mouthful of Scorpions which to this day continue to sting the American People where they sit and spin in bewilderment of an immigration policy which lets the criminal scorpions in,, and the illegally earned drug money out and back to Mexico. Is perhaps the poltical acumen of his “Sancuary CIty” Chicago style politics of graft, skimming theirs off the top in cooperation with the Drug Lords and Drug Czars which is the real source of the blind eye?
What a way to fund a re-election campaign! One more example of criminal business as usual with other people’s criminally extorted criminal cash. Is this all Socialism has to offer? Time to close the book on HIM.

Brewer should have put him right back on our plane and sent him high tailing out of there. I won’t be surprised that he takes revenge on her and AZ. Time will tell.

My thoughts, To arrest an illegal, it has to be with something like a traffic ticket, etc. Well why couldn’t Jan Brewer or the Tough Sheriff have arrested Obama for impersonating a President..LOL
They missed their chance….. The Posse should have been there ready and waiting. I know this was impossible but it gives one thoughts of what might have been an interesting moment. I certainly wish it would be that easy as this imposter has caused us more grief than can be described and it is beyond words or belief.

A major factor behind skyrocketing health care, entitlement and other
costs is our wide open borders allowing thousands of uneducated and
impoverished to illegally enter the country every week who are getting
free health care (denied to many Americans including senior citizens and
veterans) and entitlements as welfare, education, food stamps and wic,
(because of children born in this country by illegal aliens under
birthright citizenship who also bring large families including immediate
and extended family members with them also including children born in
other countries) along with housing and energy assistance, unemployment
insurance and other benefits amounting to hundreds of billions of
dollars annually. The total costs rise as more pour into this country
every week. This also doesn’t include disaster assistance resulting from the
recent spate of natural disasters while FEMA like the rest of the government is broke.
Amnestied illegal aliens can sponsor unlimited numbers of impoverished
and uneducated immediate and extended family members (funny how Obama
and other illegal alien supporters never discuss this aspect of amnesty) who also will be
reliant on our health care (with limited resources) and other bankrupt
social programs and services administered by bankrupt state and local
governments. They also will compete with Americans for few available jobs.
Obama’s treatment of Arizona Governor Brewer once again shows he has no
intention of securing the border despite the fiscal and societal impacts
of unchecked illegal immigration across a border which Border patrol has
told us is out of control (they told us 3,000 alone cross one section of
the Rio Grande into the US every week including several Al Shabaab
Somalis who DHS still is looking for). Is it any wonder why Obama
constantly asks for raises in the debt ceiling and is willing to gut
programs and agencies as the DOD placing our national security at risk?
We can’t be the world’s health care, welfare, education and employment agency with
open borders. It is a matter of math, economics, supply and demand and logic……

Very well said! I agree with everything you said. Allowing illegals to stay here is an insult to all those who waited in long lines at Ellis Island to make the United States their home “legally”. They did not question our laws nor did they expect a government handout. They could not wait to learn English and work hard to make their fortunes , again “legally”! I pray everyday for Gov. Brewer and the people of AZ ( I have an aunt living in Phoenix). Most of all I pray that we will replace our present administration with adults who understand the danger our great country is in of being destroyed within, something the communists have been trying to do for decades.

Personally, I have boiled this down to the very simple fact that the Oval Office is currently occupied by an illegal alien who has never respected US sovereignty or seriously recognized a national border of any nation.
Forget the birth certificate argument. The proper authorities simply will not generate the courage to tackle this issue even though proof that Obama does not have a valid birth certificate from ANY legitimate state agency is as obvious as it can be.
Given his personal history, Barry is by every measure, a citizen of Indonesia. He has never held a valid US Passport but does use a Social Security number that he could have obtained ONLY through a criminal act in violation of Federal law. Apparently, his maternal grandmother took this risk for him so he could work part-time in a Baskin Robbins in Hawaii as a dry run for the SSAN she pirated.
Need we discuss this more? I don’t think so. If here was ANY respect for the office of the Presidency, he would have been led out of there in handcuffs already.

This is just another example of the arrogance and lack of class of this President. He keeps suing Arizona who is on the front line of the illegal crossover of aliens into our country and the drug and human trafficking that is not only illegal, but dangerous to our citizens, especially those that live along the border. Obama refuses to even go near these border crossing areas to see first hand some of the physical issues that the border control have to deal with daily.
Governor Brewer is just trying to do her job and Obama, Napilatano, and Holder refuse to help her and, to the contrary, are making it harder for her to protect the citizens of Arizona. This behavior by our federal government is unconciable, and when you factor in the “Fast and Furious” debalicle, this, for me, is enough to throw out Obama and his minions like Holder and Napilatano. When those in charge in Washington refuse to help out border states like Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas control the illegal crossings in their states, and then sue them for taking matters into their own hands under desperation, Tahoe in charge like Obama, have to be replaced.

More proof that the Federal Government, looks at States, as more of Shires of a Kingdom and Governor Brewer is just some, “local official”. When you insert someone who is more King than President, the feudal Kingdom of the Federal Government becomes glaring, ugly and reveals itself for what it has become.
The Founders incorporated many checks and balances for the Representative Democracy, fearing absolute Democracy as the quickest way to destroy The Republic. The government, designed for, We the People, HAD one massive check, one block against tyranny that is overlooked time and again, and that is, the Free and Independent States that agreed in thoughtful compact, to form a Union.
These States were intended to be a huge block, against a government absorption, of total power. Tied to these States is the Electoral College, which brilliantly balances the “ship of state” in assuring that even low population states had a voice in the selection of President and isolating democratic mob rule. But there are problems.
What happened? The Republic was turned on it’s head in the 1860′s in a design flaw within The Electoral College. If multiple political parties emerged of which 5 ran for president, the vote for President is split, allowing for the disaster of, say, having 60% of the population relegated to LOOSING, being in submission of 40% of the population. The ensuing war, of which there are many reasons, led to a Federal Government that not only grew in size but in power too, relegating The States, both North & South to a secondary status, not free, not independent and totally at the mercies and whims of The Federal Government, least they be bludgeoned into submission. NOTHING in The Constitution or Bill of Rights, about that.
So here we see an example of raw naked power through Obama, not that other Presidents have not done much of the same. Obama however, knows how to apply the power at his disposal, in a brazen shrill way, with a news media that cheers him on and protects him.
George Washington, turned down being a King, a World accustomed form of rule, for the reasons above, that Obamas or Caters or Lincolns, would invariably come along. Little could he surmise that The Republic that he fought for, would tragically be beaten, rendered unsound and ready for Tyranny or for that matter, the people that he fought for, REPLACED, by aliens. A salute to Arizona and Gov. Brewer!

I am glad that someone besides me has read the history. A lot of people have given there lives because of what you have pointed out. A state is a country of it’s own, free to leave the union at any time. It is the United States NOT the kingdom of State of America. if you look up how Hitler run the country of Germany you will see it is almost a complete blue print of how Obama is trying to run the USA. I have no doubt that if things do not change there will be another war between the states with nothing being solved that could not have been solved if only it was understood we are not a kingdom.

Sadly, this Fraud is setting some horrible examples, launching, The Imperial Presidency, to new orbit levels, that any narcissist, unsound and unfettered, clever mind, can run with.
One little biddy item though. Kings once had, in Feudal Europe, the ability to seize and hold and torture those who were deemed enemies and a threat to the Crown. Guess what? Just recently, the Defence Authorization Bill 1867, Congressionaly codifies what Lincoln did in arresting 3,000 journalists and others, to the current President and whom ever, MIGHT, replace him. It mirrors a 1933 Reich law that was applied to Communists but eventually was applied to anyone deemed an enemy.
To make sure that this power is not impeded, in removing enemies of Das Stat, or, The Crown, if you will kind Sir, legislation is being designed to allow the Federal Government to strip a Citizen of that Citizenship, thus allowing seizure of said person and unlimited incarceration.
Hows that, for having the Royal Court blossom, in it’s full self righteous glory?! OH, if he was born in BRITISH held Kenya, as I think he was, that makes him a BRITISH Subject per his Kenyan origins. LOL! or cry. Obama the First, in an America turned upside down. Is the British Crown laughing?

Governor Brewer should instruct all State agencies to enforce State law, no matter what any branch of the federal government does. The States are allowing the federal government to take over State powers. The only way to enforce States rights is to stand up to the feds. In particular, the very concept of between one and nine unelected individuals overturning the informed votes of the people’s representatives in a State, overturning duly enacted State law, is repugnant to me.

It’s not. The Supreme Court said they had the power of judicial review, and Congress let them do it.
Two things to keep in mind:
- Words mean something, and back then they really did. The Founders meant want they said. In particular, when an Amendment says “Congress shall make no law,” they meant Congress. Don’t forget that in the early days of the Republic, some States had established religions. That was fine, because Congress didn’t do it.
- I don’t believe what Arizona wants to do infringes on any federal powers. In my view, what a law like the federal one does is say what the feds may, will, or shall do — and there is nothing to prevent a State’s going beyond that, unless the law specifically prevents them from doing so.

What I find funny is not an attack on the issues this country is having but an attack on Obama himself. Almost every post refers to him as “his majesty” or “king”. It just shows how you guys view him. Yes, he (and his wife) is regal and poised and that shows and you guys can feel/see it!

I’m not so sure it’s polite to point your finger at anyone when you are talking to them but how many times have we seen Obama do rude things? In fact since he’s been president rudeness has become sort of the norm with him setting the example. I guess you get what you give and I’m glad that Governor Brewer didn’t bow and scrape because, he may not realize it, but he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like the next guy and, by his own declaration that all are equal, he doesn’t deserve any preferential treatment.

Ya know, Shoppegirl, I often DO wonder that. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around what kind of a mentality thinks that you get out of debt by tripling the debt. I have a hard time figuring out what makes people think that it’s OK for the gov’t to make up contradictory laws then pick and choose which ones they feel like enforcing this week. There is a lot I have a tough time deciding but I guarantee you that I won’t have a tough time cheering when the guy who made the major portion of this mess steps down.

At the risk of mizzbeehave accusing me of being racist, let me go on record, once again, as being one of those who definitely does not approve of the way obama has handled being president. I feel like we have been cheated and deceived from day one with Obama at the helm. I did not vote for Obama because I didn’t like him. When the supposed majority (who may not really have been if you look at all the fake voters ACORN managed to scare up) spoke, I started out hoping for the best. Well, that didn’t work out very well, and now I feel like this whole country is stuck in a quagmire! I’m hoping that we can turn this page and get this country back on the right track. I don’t like any of the choices we have for candidates in the upcoming election but I don’t see how it can get much worse than it is now. I sincerely hope that come the end of January 2013 we are swearing in someone new. I’m already hating the infomercials Obama is “approving” all about how much he has done for this country with however many imaginary jobs he created in his mind. What a charlatan!

TAXPAYERS ARE THE PAYEE FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS
It’s not condescending, but if you came to America by whatever means without permission of the People via the US government, you are violating this country’s sovereignty rights? I doubt if there is any country on Mother Earth, where you would not be imprisoned or immediately deported? Mexican laws have very strict statutes, that illegal entry is punishable as a Felony. Congress and being owned by special interests money doesn’t impose a felony. It’s a walk away “slap-on-the-hand punishment and then unless it’s a second entry after deportation, you can now walk away from being incarcerated–thanks to the executive order from President Obama. Life has been made so easy for foreign nationals, which they can even demonstrate in the streets, demanding rights without any recourse from ICE? They shouldn’t even be here, but they are able to ride the welfare programs through a poor interpretation of the 14th Amendment. People come from every hemisphere after waiting years for a visa, but others steel in disguised as a tourist with unborn babies or just steal across our perforated border fence. Then they go about stealing somebody’s Identification to get a job, procure that persons credit.
Our once praiseworthy schools are now poorly recognized for performance, as they were 30 years ago. The top State for education originated in California and now it is somewhere around the bottom of the barrel. Millions who swarmed into Los Angeles County have turned it into miles of poverty stricken neighborhoods, without any countermeasures from the immigration police. Hospitals are hurting from unpaid treatments and Border States saw many of these institutions go bankrupt—another good example of unfunded mandates. Prez Obama is on hunt for more votes in 2012, so it makes major sense to fly off to Nevada, heavily populated with illegal aliens and a very poor set of voting regulations. Every American must be involved to oversee the outcome of every precinct and the value of Absentee Ballots that are easily forged. How can the United States government expect to support, the senior citizens, along with veterans, homeless and infirm citizens, when they are subsidizing 440 000 illegal alien infants annually. Why patriotic Americans who speak up for themselves should, be forced to feel guilty or defend their stance on illegal immigration. The Tea Party doesn’t–that for sure, and rigidly holds the line on another blanket amnesty, sanctuary city policies, and dream acts, family chain migration or any other law, which eventually falls to the taxpayers in supporting unfunded mandates.
I think the President is in for a rude awakening as pro-illegal alien Democrats, Republicans lawmakers start to lose their seats in the Senate or House in the forthcoming months. Why should Americans be forced by the law courts to be the payee for the rest of the world? No matter for what issue, whether foreign or domestic policies? We must look to employing our own low income, white and blue collar labor and stop the incessant pandering to lawbreakers. Our Immigration laws are not broken as the Liberal press assures us, as they are either eating out of the hands of the newspaper owners or carefully manipulated by unions, non-profits and radical groups. With probably the most important Election in decades we must be seriously vigilant of no real movement on behalf of this administration, to stop non-citizens voting. They will and have driven by the re animated ACORN organization who are accomplished in fraudulent canvassing for votes. All would-be presidential candidates should be well aware of illegal aliens voting, specifically when they are very likely to be issued a deportation order. Of course if other states akin to Arizona are crushed by the iron hand of the Department of In-Justice, run by Liberal progressive Eric Holder who reputation is ruined by his involvement in the gun running carnival, which killed a US border Patrolmen? Simple and with no cost to taxpayers is the well documented “ATTRITION BY ENFORCEMENT.” Self-Deportation will commence when Aliens cannot support their families, with the implementation of Mandatory E-Verify.
Mitt Romney is certainly correct about E-Verify and its powerful influence would drive the illegal aliens home and nothing need be done except multiple lightening raids by ICE on businesses. His minions in the Justice Department have sued any state that has been fighting for financial survival and then plagued Conservative Governors Jan Brewer as she in most frontier States have been forced by the liberal judiciary to subsidize any impoverished person who squats in that state.
Two bills are ready to arrive at the floor of the House of Representative, which could injure the mechanism that awards criminal acts of illegal immigration. E-Verify –The “Legal Workforce Act” that can contain the 8 million working illegal aliens and will halt them in their tracks. The E-Verify program must be succeeding as 4 Democrats have now co-sponsored this bill and you should contact your federal or local lawmaker at 202-224-3121. A simple method of identifying who is hired by companies, that doesn’t want to become a victim of incompetence,. They know full well that when this law is passed, they will be facing heavy fines, loss of assets and even time behind bars. A few citizens or authorized or lawful residents, which fall through the cracks, can find relief by going to the local Social Security office; aliens will flee, rather than entering a federal agency. Another bill less publicized by the Liberal press or other media, is the “Birthright Citizenship” amendment, which would offer no more foothold for the illegal parent or parents of children smuggled into America. No more easy preference for a pregnant Mother so she can immediately get public assistance, hospital birthing, food stamps or anything else given freely by our indifferent government. Whoever wins the presidency–Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum or even Ron Paul must be held accountable, for every promise they declare to the public audience.
Make your own judgment for who you will vote for, whether a new state governor, a new state senator or those in the highest levels of government who have been secretive in pouring billions in taxpayer money to support the 20 million and more who have settled here illegally. Any search engine such as Google Yahoo will show you hundreds of reports on the real costs, graphs and other statistics. The power of the American people, that is the TEA PARTY, is sickened by the complete abuse of laws from the founding fathers. NumbersUSA has displays of grafts and the presidential hopeful’s grades on illegal immigration. Want to know how minority speaker deceived the system through her corruption; it is well illustrated in the legal watchdog pages of Judicial Watch. Want to know the nauseating cost if President Obama slips through a blanket amnesty, that’s found at Hermitage Foundation.
The TEA PARTY does not alienate any race or nationality as the Liberal media would like you to think? It just requests the 1986 Immigration law (IRCA) enforced and not altered to pander to illegal migrants and immigrants.

When I talked about mud slinging, I did not mean at the article/topic, I was referring to that between posters. It is never my intent to insult anyone for their views on the topic, and to my recollection, I do not recall ever doing so. I speak my opinions on the topic, and that is normally my only amount of participation. I think views, thoughts, and musings about articles we choose to comment about, is healthy. I am always reading to see what others think about a topic, and then if I feel the conviction, I too will express my opinion. The only reason I made my last post was because I perceived there to be a angry, name calling posting going on between a couple of posters. I did not even specify any particular poster’s user name. As long as there is discussion of idea’s, the topic stays intact, however when it comes to a point where there is obviously a feud type situation between a poster or two irregardless of the topic, then it has strayed beyond opinionated, And become a name calling fest.
Again my apologies for calling you a Obama lover, that certainly was not my intent.I do understand that you do not agree with Brewer’s stance on the illegal immigration topic. It is my thought on the matter that if they are going to come here, they need to do it through legal means, not jump fences. There, your point and mine are made, nothing else needs to be said between us about the subject. I won’t change your view, and you cannot change mine, so we both just walk away with the other knowing how we feel on the issue.

Jared Lee killed 6 people in AZ without provocation, reason, or conscience. How do you characterize the two?. Jan Brewer has not shot anyone unless in the line of duty, and has never shot a illegal alien, just for being a illegal alien. She merely wants to protect the Citizens of her State, and her State, from those who come in illegally and eat up the resources of that State, and murder, Rape, and Rob it’s Citizens.
This will be my last post on the subject, but I am curious, and would like to hear why you made the statement, and how they are even reasonably similar. I am not trying to call you names, or even trying to sway your beliefs, because like mine, I know yours won’t change. I merely want to know the reason you made that particular statement about Brewer.

shoppegirl, You have no need to apologize. The liberals who come here are cowards who hide behind the anonymity of the net, and spew forth their vile remarks. As the elections heat up they will continue to do so with the following:
1. They change the subject. No matter what, they must control the subject.
2. They insult people by calling them names to make them go away.
3. They threaten people with violence to make them go away.
4. They don’t argue the facts. Facts are a liberals worst enemy.
5. They lie and make up numbers. The bigger the lie, the better (like Obama visited 57 states).
6. If someone else did something that works,liberals claim it as their own.
7. They never take responsibility for their actions and always blame someone else.
8. They are quick to play the race card for no reason.
It’s all part of the techniques taught by Saul Alinsky in Rules for Radicals, the handbook of how to destroy America.
McCain took the high road during the last election and look what happened. Quite simply, informed Americans are tired of these liberals. They are like the schoolyard bullies who push and push until they are pushed back.

You certainly owe me no apology, it is I who should be apologizing to you, perhaps I could have worded my previous post a little better. It just looked like the last few posts were no longer on the topic, but merely a name calling contest. I love reading other’s views on the topics, and the articles, and I really respect all views, for or against. After all, all are allowed to their opinions, and I, through way too many years, have come to realize that no matter how much a point is argued, neither point of view ever wins because you won’t change theirs, and they cannot ever change yours. At some point the controversy has to end in a tie, so I was just a bit upset to see the mud slinging going on and on without the article even being touched upon in some posts.
Truly, I meant no disrespect, and absolutely, I was not siding with a definitely opposite point of view.
