According to MSNBC's left-winger-in-chief Chris Matthews, it's not just someone's name but HOW you say it that can be a tip-off that you are a racist. That's right. Because Newt Gingrich addressed moderator Juan Williams as "Juan" (his name) at Monday night's debate, Matthews thinks that makes Gingrich a racist. He thinks that by saying "Juan," it's code that other racist people (like the debate audience) will understand and appreciate. This kind of insane reasoning is exactly why MSNBC has no viewers and why the country is a mess.
As background, I recommend that you read my column from yesterday. It focuses on the exchange between Fox News moderator Juan Williams and candidate Newt Gingrich. The exchange was incredible as Williams kept trying to interject race into the discussion, and Gingrich came back at him with a common sense approach to helping America's youth.
However, Chris Matthews saw it as something different... something sinister. As Ken Shepherd noted in his column for the Media Research Center, Matthews claims that by addressing Williams by his first name, that there was a racist motive behind it.
There were interesting aspects to that, wasn't there some applause when he called him Juan? I mean it's an interesting thing here. I mean, I once, it's very clever -- I mean Newt is a very smart guy. He knows how to play an audience.
There was a wonderful exchange between George Herbert Walker Bush and Pete DuPont one time where he answered a question to him and he said, "Let me help you with that one, Pierre."
Now it is his name, and Juan is his name, but there's an interesting way it's used and to personalize it, and Juan Williams has a lot of guts getting in front of that audience that's conservative white in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and asking a question which is a reasonable question.

How completely asinine! Matthews didn't like the way he said "Juan"? Give me a break! The reason the audience booed is because it was blatant that Juan Williams was trying to play the race card. As I noted yesterday, Gingrich was not his only target. He did the same against Rick Perry and Mitt Romney too. The reason the audience cheered later was because Gingrich did not back away from saying that it's dumb to just give people money for nothing. It's dumb not to expect work for food stamps or training for unemployment benefits. Black, white, brown, and anything in between... it has nothing to do with race!
Matthews is an idiot, and worse... he's the racist. To imply that someone doesn't like blacks or hispanics or whatever simply because he doesn't think the government should subsidize laziness is nuts. But that's what Matthews does, and his 10 viewers must really enjoy it.

Christ Mathews and his Socialist Reprobates would also be offended by another Hispanic name “ Manuel” and the way it was pronounced as in Manual Labor, a thing so frightening to Liberal Democrats that they run at the very sound of the words.
Chris Mathews probably thinks that “Manual Labor” is the new Mexican President? That Socialist tingle he gets up his leg from Obama finally reached his brain and fried it.
Once again the race card, poorly played by an avowed Liberal ,turns turns out to be the Joker in the political Deck. Shame on you Juan Williams, after Fox news saved you a job after being tossed under the bus by your false Sesame Street friends at Liberal Public Television. How many times do you need to be thrown under the Socialist bus before you wake up and smell the coffee? You sought to deal Gingrich a losing hand and all you got dealt back were Aces and Eights. Right on, inluminatuo! Could not have said it any better than you did. As long as Matthews, Pelosi, ‘Sergeant’ Schultz, Olbermann, Reid, Becklemann, Colmes, Jarrett, et al., etc, continue to spew their venom, this will remain a heavily, hopelessly, divided country. Right after the 2008 election, “the anointed one” said this: “Elections have consequences! We won, you lost! Get in the back of the bus!” Ahhhh…the civility that “King Obama” requested on full display. Nothing like decorum in the halls of government…except for those in the pockets of union bosses. Hopefully, this country will wake up on or before November 6th, 2012…but I’m beginning to have my doubts.

By calling us racist puts the demoncrats on the offense and us on the defense and that is exactly where “they” want us. I’ve said it before, we need to find a way to be on offense and quit trying to lash out our responses with what sounds like whining. Please don’t misunderstand me, I am not calling us whiners, but we get put in the position where it looks and sounds like we are whining and they are scolding us. The tables have to be turned. Newt does a good job of countering them.

Chris Matthews is such an irrational lunatic that it is difficult to take him seriously about anything. The scary thing, though, is that he still reaches a head-bobbing liberal audience who agree with him. Although I’m no psychiatrist, I think the man is certifiable. But then, he works for NBC/MSNBC so he fits right in with the rest of the liars on that network. It is really difficult for them to get a very clear view of reality when they have their heads so far up their collective butts.

First of all, Chris Mathews is, in my opinion, a crackpot. Juan, not “John” is Mr. Williams’ first name. It would be insulting to alter that name and I’m at a loss to see how proper pronunciation of that Hispanic name “Juan” is racist.
Note that it wasn’t Mr. Williams who found fault with Mr. Gingrich’s proper pronunciation of his first name, it was the idiot Mathews who overreached on this matter of no consequence, because he needed any far-fetched issue to attack Mr. Gingrich. Mathews needs any inane issue,even if he invents it, on a daily basis, to maintain his laughable TV market rating.

The ironic thing about Juan Williams is that for months after the liberals at NPR fired him he whined about it on Fox and it was the conservatives who supported him. Yet he turns around and whips out his race card at every opportunity. He is typical of ignorant angry blacks who carry hatred toward old white “men,” but forget that it was those very same old white “men” who as young people marched in the 60s for black civil rights.
Loony Chris Mathews doesn’t even realize that he is just another old whitey to the black audience he is trying to reach, and he is not exempt from the hatred that he helps to foster.

Normally I disagree with most of what Mr. Eberle writes, but here I think he’s correct. It didn’t seem that Newt (what kind of name is that now, really?) meant any ill will when he called Mr. Williams Juan – it is his name after all. Sometimes we look for racism where it is not and this is probably one of those times.
I do have to take issue with Newt’s labeling of Obama as the “Food Stamp President”. The fact that more people have been added to the food stamp rolls is a product of the economy, not of the president. The Wall Street mess and bursting of the housing bubble caused all sorts of problems and a larger number of people qualifying for food stamps. You can blame Obama all you want, but that doesn’t make it his fault.

Obummer is most definitely the foodstamp president. ACORN, SEIU and numerous other Obummer driven community organizing groups have, since Obummer’s election, Been making a concerted effort to enroll welfare and food stamp reciepiants. Each of these newly recruited reciepiants are now greatful Obummer voters.
This is not good for the receipants, as it destroys inititave to work and the country in general, as we now have almost fifty percent of our population, paying no income tax whatsoever.
This is places a tremendous tax burden on the remainding productive, taxpaying half of society. This entitlement recruitment by Obummer and his union and community organizing cohorts, contributes to the economic disaster, rather than helps it.

Interestingly, when I worked in the NWT in the early 1960s we ended the summer’s work in Fort Good Hope on the Mackenzie River where we joined many of the Slavey Indians who also worked for the same company. The chief was as disgusted with the Canadian government’s welfare policies as the most conservative among those who have commented on this article. As I remember his comment: “Government bureaucrats had turned his tribe’s youth into a bunch of worthless drunks by paying them to sit on their -ss and do nothing constructive.” He’d run a trap line until the animal rights groups groups had destroyed the fur trade. Even our cook who was a young mother of three was disgusted at those dumb bureaucrats who were going to send her children to a thousand miles north to a school where they would be with Eskimos when the two groups had been at war for centuries.” She wanted her kids sent to Edmonton where they’d get a decent “white man’s education”. Two months later I’m in a conversation with the Canadian Minister of Northern Affairs at a party in Vancouver, an anthropologist, who was describing these same Indians as simple folks that needed to be “looked after” by government.
Interestingly, being looked after means be dependent on and the chief and presume of elders of his tribe said they wanted work not dolled-out money.

I want people hired for jobs because of their qualifications…not the color of their skin. That makes me a racist.

The left doesn’t see people of color or the sexually disfunctional as human beings; they are merely colors that must be pandered to. Any bad behavior is excused because by implication they, the minority group, can’t help themselves for their bahavior; that is truly racist! Why not treat all as human beings? I wish one of the Republican candidate would call out such behavior on the air for what it is truly is. Nothing would give me and the nation great pleasure to see lefty reporter bubbling and fizzing by being called what they truly are: a racist and a homophobe.

Haven’t you noticed that Progressives are sensitive about language? They often read into things said or written by conservatives that aren’t there and conservatives are mystified at their interpretation.
Do you remember Bill Clinton’s “what is is”, or something like that (I forget the exact quote)? Progressives cannot speak the truth plainly because it would turn off most people. They would rather not lie and be “technically” telling the truth even though they are deliberately misleading the listener. Because they have that mentality, they are always expecting others not to say what they mean and mean what they say. This is why they keep coming up with outlandish interpretation of things, like this “Juan” thing here or Sarah Palin’s targets.

Liberals are really off the deep end when it comes to race. Apparently, wealthy white people are the MOST racist, and if they are really nervous about race, they spend much of their time trying to prove how NOT racist they are.
Best example, I was once a clerk at the University of Rhode Island. Our folks who were developers and raisers of money for the Annual Fund were typically well-connected white folks. One lady was older, had been a teacher, and knew everybody. There was an African-American family who had a couple of kids she knew, and oh boy, did she fawn over these kids! The sugar was sickening, when they came in to visit her. If white students visited her, she barely gave them the time of day. It was horribly obvious.
One day one of the African-american students came in, and they got into a conversation about a person the young lady’s brother was seen with. Curious, the young lady asked our Fund Raiser, “who was it….was he black?” and the Fund Raiser, eyebrows raised to heaven chided her immediately….”What?? Was he BLACK? I don’t know! I don’t notice things like that”.
I, and I’m sure the student, wanted very much to hurl quietly under my desk.
Now this absurdity is noticeable to “normal people”, but to real racists and race-baiters, it’s not. It is just another example of “rich whitey” trying to look like….I don’t know what….what is their goal……what is their goal!……
Just be normal, Mr. Man. Just relax. You don’t have to kiss toes or pretend you don’t notice color or anything like that. Just treat PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE. All of them!

Chris Matthews and the rest of th socialists and communists in the media and in the Democratic party are using race to gain power in the same way Lenin used workers to gain power in the Soviet Union. One thing about the socialists of various stripes, from Hitler to Stalin and Mussolini to now Obama and Hugo Chavez is that they are extremely coherent in their views and actions. Wait til Obama gets his second term. He will unleash the socialism on America as never seen before-more closer to Venezuela. We must clearly understand that there can be no compromise with the socialists. There is no common ground between their ideology of tyranny and our founding ideals of individual sovereignty. As such, we must get rid of all the socialists from power in this country at all levels. Otherwise, we won’t have our Constitution or our country as founded.

People, Juan included, need to be told to stop pursuing a lying Communist agenda when they play the race card. The idea that Blacks should be more offended than Whites at having to do manual labor is bizarre indeed. I think Juan Williams exposed his agenda and the agenda of many Blacks: Their agenda is total subjugation of all Whites. Since we know now from Juan that Blacks actually support slavery, just not Black slavery, Affirmative Action needs to be overturned.

Matthews is going to find something wrong with whatever a GOP candidate says because that’s his job as an Obama “lover” (something to do with that tingle issue) and supporter. The MSM is hugely biased towards anything not socialist.
Gingrich was clearly winning this aurgument and it drives liberals wild. He is just as clearly a genius and would, I believe, cut Obama to ribbons in an open debate on whatever subject you want to choose. He does however, bring with him that worrisome baggage and that is a major concern with me. I want a candidate that can beat Obama and the millions of worthless souls he drags around with him everywhere he goes. Still, I would love to see Gringrich take that miserable idiot on in a live debate. The results would be hilarious and spell a death blow for the poser-in-chief.

One of my two sisters is a liberal. She is a retired teacher of small children. She was her union president at one time. She is a liberal she says because our father was liberal. He was a liberal because he was a farmer and liked getting the government subsidies. She cannot present a better reason for being liberal. She is fine with the damage being done to our country as long as she gets her retirement checks from the school system and social security. She is, in fact, fine with all that goes on as long as it does not affect her directly in the pocket. All attempts to reason with her are futile and have only caused a split between her and me. She maintains I have done nothing for the country and believes her career of putrifying the minds of 3rd graders was far more important than my fighting in numerous conflicts. I have given up on her and all democrats.

Unfortunately, your sister is the perfect example of liberalism, that is, ask not what you can do for your country, ask what has your country done for you today, primarily by taking something worked for by another American and given to one (or non-citizen, as is in vogue recently) who doesn’t deserve or appreciate it. It isn’t the first time we are challenged to fight foreigners and distant governments for fair representation and the rights bestowed on us by God; or property earned by our own sweat and blood. We will prevail because we must.

It must really be sad to wake up everyday knowing that your sole purpose in life ie to be the “Racism Police”. I get up every morning and go to work and racism never crosses my mind. What planet does Mathews come from. There is less racism in the world today than at any time in history. People like Mathews just refuse to let racism die. People like Chris Matthews and his soul mate Bill Maher are morons who think that their opinion is the only one that matters. The problem is that there are a lot of drooling brain dead people who are standing at the alter of Obama with their jaws dragging on the floor who listen to these two idiots.

That Matthews guy is hilarious! Calls someone racist (isn’t accusation without basis in fact called SLANDER??), then has the gall to say older black people can’t buy cars or get a drivers license! He doesn’t need the red nose or giant shoes, Matthews is obviously a real live clown.
