We all know that the Obama administration would love to simply grant amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens who are in our country. After all, think of all those potential votes, right? But now the situation has gone too far. It's one thing for Barack Obama and his team to not take border security seriously. It's quite another to blatantly ignore the law. And that's exact what's happening as Border Patrol agents are being told to NOT arrest illegal aliens.
First, let's touch on the politics. It appears that since Obama can't handle the budget, the economy, foreign policy, or just about anything else, he has picked now to make his push for "immigration" reform. He's also feeling the pressure to do so by members of his own party.
On Tuesday, Obama held a meeting with a number of administration officials and a select group of "stakeholders" on the immigration issue. According to the background information provided about the meeting, Obama "remains deeply committed to fixing the broken immigration system."
Here's more:
The United States has been enriched by a steady stream of hardworking and talented people who have helped make America an engine of the global economy and a beacon of hope around the world. As we work to rebuild the economy, our ability to thrive depends, in part, on restoring responsibility and accountability to the immigration system. President Obama believes Democrats and Republicans should come together to tackle an issue that is critical not only to our national security but also to the economy and our global competitiveness.
It's just more of the same. Yes, immigrants have enriched America, and they continue to do so. LEGAL immigrants. I capitalized "legal" for emphasis, but equal emphasis could be put on the word "immigrants," in that our country was built by people who came to America to BE Americans... to embrace our culture and become part of the American melting pot.
The press release then offers this gem:
The President takes seriously his responsibility to enforce our immigration laws and secure the border. Over the last two years, the Obama Administration has dedicated unprecedented resources to secure the border, taken important steps to make interior and worksite enforcement of our immigration laws smarter, and more effective, and made improvements to the legal immigration system.
Well... so much for fantasy. Now, it's time for reality.
An Arizona sheriff has come forward, saying that he has been told to stop arresting illegal aliens. As reported by Fox News, the sheriff "has been flooded with calls and emails of support from local and federal agents who back his claims that the U.S. Border Patrol has effectively ordered them to stop apprehending illegal immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexican border."
"Upper management has advised supervisors to have agents 'turn back South' (TBS) the illegal aliens (aka bodies) they detect attempting to unlawfully enter the country ... at times you even hear supervisors order the agents over the radio to 'TBS' the aliens instead of catching them," one San Diego border agent wrote in an email to Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever.
"This only causes more problems as the aliens, as you know, don't just go back to Mexico and give up. They keep trying, sometimes without 10 minutes in-between attempts, to cross illegally," continued the email, which was among a number of communications to Dever reviewed by FoxNews.com. "This makes the job for agents more dangerous. Not only are the aliens more defiant, they also begin to feel like they can get away with breaking our federal laws."
Dever claims that he was told to "keep the number of border apprehensions down by chasing illegal immigrants back toward Mexico." Then, of course, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano takes credit for increased border security by noting that apprehensions are down. Is this making sense to you?
So there you have it. Apprehensions are down, because Border Patrol agents are being told not to apprehend. And this is border security? Does anyone think that an illegal alien who is chased back to Mexico will actually give up? This is what we face, and the problem will only get worse as long as people like Obama and Napolitano are in control.

Obama, Napolitano, and anyone else who have been part of this order are in assents allowing The United States to be invaded. They are guilty of failing to preform their duties to enforce the laws and of breaking their oath of office to protect America and it’s people. They have committed treason.
A congressional investigation should immediately be started along with Impeachment against Obama. he was a lousy student C’s and D’s and he is a pore excuse of a president and has no ability to lead with any intelligence.
Illegal aliens only hurt the United States and there people. They are responsible for all the border violence along with all politicians her and in Mexico for their respective failures. The Americans for not securing the border and the Mexicans for their failure to stop their stop the drug violence and the corruption in every level of government including the Federalies.

AmericaFirst, I’ve seen this before some liberal with nothing to add lets his cohorts know and flock to the site and give low ratings to both the story and to any comments that they disagree with but have no argument with substance. They appear to do this to foster the belief that the comment is pointless and not worth the time to read. So they cast there vote and move on.

I am sick to death of this President and Atty. General Eric Holder and Dept. of Homeland Security head Napolitano. All three of them are not upholding the oath of office they took to uphold the laws of this nation and protect its people from criminals, foreign and domestic. Holder refuses to defend the DOMA which is a law of the land. Same goes for Napolitano who is ordering Border Agents to release illegals into this country. And Obama ignores a court order to stop the implementation of Obamacare because it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. They should all be in jail! Our citizens continue to be murdered all over America by illegals and drug cartels from Mexico have now taken over portions of southern Arizona. IMPEACH OBAMA NOW before he and his cronies in Congress legalize millions of illegals to enlarge their voter base! None of them seem to care that we are a nation founded on the RULE OF LAW.

When writing to your elected official spell check your comments prior to sending. Not only spelling but correct verbiage goes a long way toward getting your point across.(poor/pore)
For several years I have been letting my elected officials that those in an appointed office should not be confirmed if they intend to allow persons to cross our borders without obtaining proper documentation first. If they do not uphold the U.S. Constitution then all elected officials should call for their resignation and then bring charges against the appointed officials. As you can see it has not accomplished anything.

The Rule of Law and the Constitution means nothing to the communists that are in control of this country! They are IGNORING both, and doing whatever they please. When did the Rule of Law become, “optional!”
Is there no legal repercussions when our government chooses not to adhere to the Laws of our land..
Why haven’t the “Checks and Balances” of power prevented those in control from becoming a group of dictators!

Their comments seem drug addled and the propensity to make up stuff betrays their disregard for items like The Constitution, The Bill of Rights and history itself. Many times it seems like George Orwell’s 1984 come to life.

Onewildman, before you comment on the academic performance deficiencies of Barack Hussein Obama — “he was a lousy student, C’s and D’s” — perhaps you should look to your own academic performance deficiencies. How much attention were you paying when your teachers covered the difference between “assents” and “essence,” or between “pore” and “poor,” or between “there” and “their”? Your brief rant does nothing to dispell the notion that many of those who in a kind of knee-jerk way disparage the present POTUS are semi-literate dumbos.

Amnesty, Immigration revision, whatever….Like you, I too believe any revision proposal to change our Immigration Law is subject to close scrutiny, not of the proposal as much as of the person(s) making the proposal.
Our law is currently a sound law…it requires just about everything necessary to protect our borders.
But the biggest problem we have is our White Houses…past and present…they are not enforcing this law…they recognize a tremendous “new votier base” of workers from Mexico both Legal and Illegal.
A new voter base of millions is very tempting to both parties…I suspect the Democrats are the pushers and the Republicans join in in order to get these voters for themselves, or to prevent the Democrats from capturing them; thus, the “Amnesty”proposals.
If we can calculate the number of Illegals we have here, then why can’t we find them and send them back…Lord knows our agents are trying but without help from Obama…he just doesn’t want to rile the Illegals…he wants to “tomance” them.
So, what we have here is not, in my estimation, a problem with Illegals…what we have is a problem with our stupind elected who seek these votes…not once can I remember any Senator, Democrat or Republican, voicing our security” as the issue…they all voice “the poor Mexican who just wants to work”.
In the mean time, Cartel, Terrorists, Senators from Wisconsin, etc are sneaking across the border. If one Seantor or Congress member brings up a proposal for “Amnesty” or revision of the law he or she must be confronted and exposed for failure to enforce the present law, and for seeking the illegals’ votes.

Bobby Eberle must be working to jump on the Beck, Russ, and O’Reilly money wagon. An Arizona Sheriff said that, huh? Who would have thought, he would? Now, we are talking serious verification, which has not been collaborated by any other of the 1000s of Border Patrol Agents. Who sent Dever those emails and how were the senders verified?
Was Dever the same one that found those non-bodies, without heads in the desert and told the Governor about it, but no one else in the world saw them. Oops, did I mention that Governor of Arizona, who is on your s____ list.

AmericaFirst – I’m also not sure what happened but I too gave a 5/5 vote. I think that OneWildMan has it right. This entire situation with illegals is beyond insane. Well, I guess I shouldn’t call the situation insane. It’s the liberals and the liberal democrat politicians that are insane for not seeing & accepting the facts of how this is destroying our “once great country”.

It is inconceivable to me that we could have put this clown in office. (We as a nation; I certainly didn’t vote for him). Apprehensions are down, so border security must be up. Even though we’ve specifically told the agents and police in the area not to apprehend. H’mm…that’s like saying you lowered the overall unemployment rate by shooting dead 100,000 people that didn’t have jobs. The amazing thing to me is that his lies are not only easy to ferret out; they’re stupid lies. Even casual checking of the facts reveals that you cannot trust a word that leaves this man’s mouth. Yet his “base” still continues to treat him like the Messiah. And what is so incredible is that he has more disdain for his base than anyone…to him they are clueless cattle to be herded in whatever direction suits him. Our country is in dire straights…we need to look at the most conservative candidates available (based on record, not rhetoric), reghardless of party, and make sure we get behind them in 2012. This is everybody from the dogcatcher to the president. If we are going to take back our country, we must return to the values of God and country that the founding fathers had, and unfortunately there are far too few politicians in any form of government (local, state or federal) that hold to that vision. If we don’t find some soon, this country will cease to be the shining beacon it has been to the world, and will instead fall into 3rd world mediocrity and obscurity.

“Freedom can only be had by a “moral people.” Freedom is based on the fact that people believe in ”right and wrong with little debate on the definitions and their lives are guided by these beliefs. Freedom must have this environment to flourish!
When the country and the politicians speak of morality with disdain, when Christianity is considered “a joke,”when there are no consequences to immorality, and when tolerance and diversity is applied to everything…. our country took a “nosedive” into its current lawless state.
Washington needs to be cleansed of all that has participated in the attempted destruction of our homeland. It doesn’t matter if they were actively involved or if they are guilty because of their reluctance to act.
We need “citizens” in Washington. We do not need these corrupt, career politicians that have been feeding off the taxpayers for decades… Find good people in the community that love this country and have lifetime work experiences that can be put to use to run our country. Find professionals that are successful and are admired by their communities. It does NOT take a Harvard degree (obviously, even one that has been bought and paid for) to be a “leader.” Those that can lead do so from the Heart and they lead by example! They DO NOT take lavish vacations, while their people are struggling to feed their families! If people want that kind of leaders, go live in China or Venezuela, or the Middle East… We should demand better of those that want to lead!

Yes, legal immigrants have always come here to become Americans. They brought with them many sorts of skills and added value to the community. These illegals are mostly illiterate and unskilled and really aren’t interested in being Americans. They just want to earn money here and send it “back home.” And therein lies the key. It’s back home, and America is not the home in question.
I agree with some of the posters. Obama, Napolitano and others are clearly guilty of treason. Trouble is, no one will do anything about that. Republicans can’t even bring themselves to keep promises about cutting government spending. The United States of America is in the process of imploding.

Obama must push for an amnesty bill as he has ‘promised’ to do for the Latino vote. What I would like to know is what has happened to our laws? We have congressmen/women who ignore them and have supported illegals being in the country and even have been known to stand beside them and helped them. What about their oath of office? Their hand on the bible to make their pledge to protect and serve …. actually it means to protect and serve the legal citizens of this country not millions of illegals who are devastating our country by ignoring our laws. Do not forget that there are factions such as LaRaza that want to take back the southern states. Think they are just a bunch of jokesters? Not likely!
I have great admiration for Sheriff Dever for what he has done and continues to do. Also Arpaio for everything he has done and won’t back down either. I also have respect for our border patrol who put their lives on the line daily while the fat cats make decisions that are detrimental to this country and the lives of legal citizens.

The House of Representatives can’t impeach the President. They can vote to bring impeachment proceedings, but it is only the Senate which can impeach him. Since they have a Democratic majority right now you know that’s not going to happen. The only solution is throw all of them out in the next election.

You are so right. Our immigration system has worked for decades. Legal immigrants who speak English and can sign their names in English and want to be a part of this nation are welcome with open arms. Those who come here and demand WE print documents in THEIR languages and are trying to change the laws of our land, our customs, and refuse to join the ‘melting pot’ of legal immigrants do not deserve the rights and benefits of citizenship.

I have to differ with you Liberty Numbers. The 1965 Immigration Reform Act set this nation quickly to a path of repopulation and repopulation by 3rd world aliens. It was done willfully on purpose. In a scant 46 years, I have seen my city of Houston turn so many areas into run down crime ridden areas that resemble Mexico (I have traversed with a backpack through). So yes, in a perverse way, it has worked. Congratulations to the finally dead Ted Kennedy, LBJ and others of their ilk. Why Obama comes to mind when I think of ilk.
I say aliens. The Founders who focused on Liberty (NOT democracy) were greatly concerned by the make up of The People. Such a make up was yet another safeguard in a representative republic that Franklin thought it likely that we would likely loose. The closer the “make up” the better. For Franklin, even too many Germans he considered suspect! The great man would have an instant stroke now.
I once long ago I taught, English as a Second Language. It was my second academic exposure to really different people, alien in my terms. Over 90% of the course was nothing more than a legal fraud to play the system to gain entrance. The first was teaching in public schools (history, gov’nt…). The history of Washington to WW2… meant nothing to groups that looked at me and could not see themselves. It started me to think, “Just what are you doing in my country anyway? Is this what my Father risked his life for in WW2?”
And the oft talked about “melting pot” is way overblown and more a talking point of the Left. The Founders would consider it laughable as they knew the more ALIEN the group the less that they would “melt” and the more it would cling to itself and be an eventual threat. Once the limited democracy expanded then voting would start the process of taking from others with the bayonet help of the State. Cheers!

I agree that invasion by any large foreign group is a threat to the life we have in our country. The changes we see happening are mainly do to these alien forces. They bring their social values, their languages, their cultures and demand that we accommodate! They come to “Settle” our country NOT to become Americans, but to change America! The radical left has harnessed this force to promote their agenda..giving foreigners the vote.
Volumes could be written on this subject, but suffice it to say that we must protect our way of life, our freedom, and OUR country…. CLOSE OUR BORDERS! LIMIT THE NUMBERS OF THE AUSLANDERS! We should have the right to decide who we admit to our country, where they come from, and how many this country can absorb…

Now, now these people are just doing jobs Americans don’t want to do. How many times have we heard that? And the down side, crime, huge percentages of illegals in prisons, unpaid medical services, tax payer benefits being provided to illegals, school chaos, it goes on for ever and costs tax payers 100′s of BILLIONS annually. So, when they say the cost of say produce would jump if Americans were picking it that produce actually costs a hell of alot more factoring in the billions in extra tax money being spent. We could go out and round up ALL of the estimated 20 million illegals and deport them and probably would break even in the first year. Then take all the free loading welfare recipients and put them to work doing those jobs you don’t want to do that kind of work, then your off welfare. But, alas BOTH parties look at them as a voting base and don’t try and say its just democrats that is a fallacy. Republicans pardon the expression have just as much skin in the game. Untill we start enforcing strict policy and enact serious border security measures this will just continue to get worse and quite frankly financially this country is currently at the edge of the precipice.

You are right when you say the Repubs have been in bed with the illegals far too much also. This is why I said earlier that we need to look at the most conservative candidates, based solely on their record, and regardless of party affiliation and make sure we support them fully in 2012. It is clear that the current crop in Washington is mostly spoiled and needs to be replaced immediately, including RINO’s like Boehner. We must take the country back by ensuring our candidates are strongly committed to Constitutional law without “interpretation” or “social evaluation.” This goes for judges as well, so in any states where judges are voted on, vote out those who think their job is to re-interpret the Constitution based on today’s “values.”

I feel it would be fairly simple to get the illegals out of our country, remove them from recieving welfare, remove them from recieving free medical services, take away the farms or businesses that are hireing illegals and then auction the farms or businesses to help pay for the extra costs the illegals have caused. If the illegal cannot get on welfare and recieve free medical services, no jobs here for them, they will leave in a hurry..

A good 100 billion dollar cut in the budget would have been stopping all the support we the taxpayers are forced to give to the illegals while they march down our streets demanding citizenship and carrying mexican flags and destroying and defaming our American flag! They march down our streets telling us we stole texas and california and demanding that we give it back all the while they destroy our economy and take every benefit Hussain wants to give them, including our social security money! Were still waiting for the fence they told us they would build, a double layer fence with steel stop poles and a road inbetween the double fence! And lets look at what happened. Arizona re-elected the biggest liar when it comes to amnesty, a man who changes his mind when it’s time for re-election and who was one of the designers of the McCain Kennedy amnesty bill! Thanks so much Arizona! Even though McAmnesy’s record is there to see, all the flip flopping and just plain lying about amnesty, they still elected him back to continue the damage! NO ONE IN THE CONGRESS OR IN WASHINGTON WILL DO ANYTHING TO STOP THIS INVASION, IN FACT THEY KEEP IMPORTING MORE PEOPLE, AND FROM TERRORISTS COUNTRIES, LIKE HUSSAINS 100 THOUSAND PALESTINIANS. I believe Obama wants to grant amnesty to illegals to get attention off where he was actually born.
We need to take illegals and post them as border guards and tell them if they let 1 illegal cross illegally, they get his job and he’ll be deported.
Can you imagine the crime problems if illegals are given amnesty? It’ll explode because even more will want to cross.
I’ve received emails stating that some people in Hawaii have said we have politicians, even Supreme Court justices, who know Obama wasn’t born in the USA.

Ikelly, do you seriously believe that, considering how many people, many of them with considerable wealth and power, didn’t want Obama to be president, that had there been anything verifiable out there, anything at all, like having been born in a foreign country, that would have short-circuited Obama’s candidacy, someone wouldn’t have found it and made use of it? As for those emails stating that “some people in Hawaii have said we have politicians, even Supreme Court justices, who know Obama wasn’t born in the USA,” well, I have emails stating that extraterrestrials are now on Planet Earth, using electronic thought control to pave the way for a space alien invasion; but I’m not yet ready to break out my tinfoil hat. Get real! Obama may in fact be a ****** president, but I can’t shake the feeling that many of those who in a kind of knee-jerk way piss all over him and his administration, simply cannot get their minds wrapped around the fact that at thia moment in time our POTUS is clearly of African racial heritage and doesn’t look much like the 43 presidents who preceded him, and, furthermore, doesn’t have a name like Jimmy, or Bill, or George, or John, or Gerald.

Oh, here we go again…we don’t like the Obummernator, so it MUST be racism, ’cause he don’t look like the rest of our presidents, right Luka? Why is it that every time I have a sincere disagreement with our socialist-in-chief I am painted as a racist bigot? I mean it can’t have anything to do with the fact that he has apologized and capitulated to leaders all over the world, which is completely unfitting for a sitting POTUS. It couldn’t be that he has successfully found a way to turn over 1/6th of the American economy to Uncle Sam with his takeover of healthcare. It couldn’t be that he himself is one of the biggest racists on the planet (I mean remember his handling of the professor who was arrested trying to break in to his house. Obummer didn’t have any facts at all and immediately implied the white officers were racists). It couldn’t be that he holds everything I hold dear about this country in complete and utter disdain. Nope…none of that matters. I don’t like him, I must be racist. As for your assertion about “something to find,” let me ask you this. Why hasn’t he produced his Birth certificate if he has nothing to hide? I mean consider the political windfall he’d receive. In short, he has EVERYTHING TO GAIN AND NOTHING TO LOSE politically speaking by producing his birth certificate. Yet he has spent millions trying to keep it and other personal records under wraps. Why? Could it be he doesn’t have a true birth certificate? Nope…that can’t be it…just another racist thought flitting through this poor head of mine. There is plenty wrong with the so called immigration system. It started handsomely for suicide with the 1965 Immigration “Reform” Act that Teddy Kennedy, and LBJ steered, not drunkenly unfortunately, into a certain body of water but into the heart of The People that the Preamble to The Constitution talks about. The net result has been the quick repopulating of the country. Just where is it in The Constitution that there is a specification to replace The People with a new and alien people? Well, here in Houston, in my native Texas where my ancestors fought at The Alamo, I can say, job well done! Uno mas por favor! ?Por Que? (One more please. Why?) Because there are ninny pin heads that think that MORE, MORE anything, is just, like ahh, better. More cheap labor is likely on their little minds.
The current so called system is designed to favor the 3rd World. With a huge 3rd world ice field right at our border we can smash up by allowing the stupendously stupid citizen birthright that was designed for the former slaves to continue. Of course, We The People are also to be the Sheeple for consumerism. Graze but do not look up. Work hard, work late, work many jobs and you don’t have time to look up and money is a taskmaster God. The Founders warned against this too.
It is the crystal clear intent of the Democrats and their fellow travelers like, The Race United, (La Raza Unita), to replace the original population. Obama, who gives a not tinker’s dam about rules, requirements, the law, eligibility, having a stinking badge, is driven to make the deluge happen (the change) as quickly as he can.
What drives many to despair is that The Republicans have played with the Democrats in this repopulation scam and it only hurts the Republican base! Insane! So, we have a choice in voting? The Treason Party and a quick ugly death or the Stupid Grand Old Party and a slow transmogrifying death with pretty yards and gadgets. WAY past time to take the STUPID out to the dumpster asap.

Does anyone remember when the would-be Cuban immigrants were turned back at sea? I’m sure some of these people should have been granted asylum, but because so many were felt to have been allowed to escape because they were of “the criminal element” or “undesireable” they were granted no more than a hard row back to Cuba to face imprisonment or death.
“TBS” offers no real retribution and is, therefore, useless. Surely no one expects that the Mexican government will prosecute the guilty unless, possibly, for “failure to execute an escape”? (LOL)

I am so glad there were no border patrols when our other immigrants came over.
Athough all immigrants were treated unfairly and inhumane, they were not called aliens. They also were eventually appreciated and there was amnesty.

How about the signs that said “No Irish need apply’ and others of the same ilk regarding Italians, Polish, Germans, etc. We all came over here and had to fit in and the citizenship tests were given in ENGLISH and the applicant had to take the tests both written and orally. They also had to demonstrate that they could sign their name.
My family and my wife’s family (Italians) and many, many other people that I grew up with and worked with had the same background.
Don’t give me any of that garbage about them not being called aliens, no they were not, they were called a lot worse and they didn’t have any civil right laws to protect them.

Well, gee, what about all those Mexican-”Americans” marching down the street with Mexican flags screaming about their rights and desecrating the American flag? What about the kids in California that were sent home from school because they had the audacity to actually wear an American patriotic t-shirt on Mexican Independence Day? What about the immigrant (most likely illegal) Mexican student at the same school who said that these students didn’t have the right to “disrespect” her by wearing t-shirts depicting the American flag? It sure doesn’t look like they’re all that interested in becoming Americans. I mean it is ridiculous and sad that a girl whose family takes from the US in the form of millions in unpaid taxes and benefits can then sit there and say she is disrespected by the flag of the US that provides all these benefits. If you feel that disrespected, leave. I assure you that America will get along just fine without you. And as for the rest of them, it’s amazing how many families from all over the world can apply for citizenship and go through the process and become American citizens. It is because they want to become American citizens. Most of the illegals in this country have absolutely no interest in becoming American citizens; they are only here to sponge of the US taxpayer and send it home to jolly ol’ Mehico. If they can’t afford to become a citizen, tough. America in the land of opportunity for those who choose to become citizens. It cannot and must not become the world’s dumping ground for undesirables that have absolutely nothing of value that they wish to add to America, and instead are only here for the free lunch. My momma used to tell me that anything worth having is worth working for; if they truly want to become American citizens, then go through the process and work for it. If they’re not willing to do that, ship them back to Mexico where they belong.

Here is a few opposing views. BTW; The original immigrants of my clan came over here in the year 1695 from Germany. So by my S researched & factual heritage ,I feel I can add some facts in this topic.
Coming to America is difficult. Granted. Why ? There is only so much room for more when the nation has more than they can support. Thus the reason more Immigration restrictions, or at the least what USED to BE Restricted.
Now: Just think about how many could become Naturalized Citizens “IF”
1—There wasn’t 15+ million Illegals already here that “We The People” are presently having to deal due to General Economic reasons, Crime wise, Entitlement funding wise, time wise, Job wise, That have No intention of Ever becoming Citizens. ALSO- The Kicker— NATIONAL SECURITY & SOVERIENTY . Something Obama Hates for obvious reasons within The AGENDA of Total Transformation of America. . To What ??
2– My ancestors came over here, “Legally”, Became citizens, fought in every war since they became citizens.
This includes fighting on both sides of the Civil War, WW1-WW2-Korea, Viet Nam, Desert Storm Iraq, Afghanistan, and yep, now, even Libya via the Intel agencies.
3—My mother’s clan is German, My Father’s -Irish. I have never heard about their early fight to become American Citizens. They obviously assimilated very well into the American culture and even became Politicians in their early days of assimilating, Fighting For America, either legislatively & or fighting in Wars. I.E. True American, Naturalized Citizens who sacrificed much for the New Land in spite of the racism during the early days. thus, Proof, That American people did accept any & all for the most part, as long as the one’s seeking acceptance chipped in their fair share of hard work, sacrifice, & above all, Loyalty to America.
3— AND Acquired Their Citizenship “LEGALLY” Nuff Said ??

Most of our other immigrants came here legally; few were treated unfairly or inhumanely once they demonstrated a dedication to our country. None required amnesty. That’s occurred in only a couple of times in the past 45 years. Those immigrants didn’t come with their hands out, looking for government benefits, either.
Show me where western Hispanic culture has enriched America. A song celebrating the cockroach?
If becoming an American is so dang hard, then stay home. Problem solved!

That said, I agree with kbullard that those of Hispanic descent make good citizens. Where we disagree is that it doesn’t matter if they arrive legally or illegally. Yes, they are still a person but they are NOT a citizen of the United States when they come illegally.
It’s hard to contribute much of value unless you have citizenship and it’s hard for the children they bring with them illegally to assimilate and become productive citizens.
No, coming to America is not easy and it should not be easy. Anything worth having is worth working hard to attain. When my ancestors came here from Europe they came legally but it wasn’t easy for them to pay for passage and to establish themselves after they got here.
Tell your illegal friends to go recross the border and come back the right way or make life better in their own country so they can make a living there. But stop breaking our laws!

I believe that both of you may be misinterpreting the other’s intentions. I agree that some of the posts have sounded hateful, but I think what you are seeing is frustration boiling over at the fact that our government not only isn’t doing anything to stem the tide of illegal immigration, they are actually doing all they can to increase it. Much of this frustration centers on the fact that the vast majority of these illegals are not high character upstanding citizens. They are bottom-feeders and cellar-dwellers that have absolutely no interest in anything but stealing from hard working Americans in the form of handouts. It is imperative to the survival of this country that we ensure that the people that we allow into the country to become citizens are solid people, who will add to the richness of the American melting pot, rather than being thieves who have no interest in truly becoming Americans at all, but rather protest in the streets against the very country they steal from everyday. As I said before, make them return to Mexico and go through the proper channels to become American citizens. If they are willing, fine. If not, then they really weren’t interested in becoming citizens at all, and we don’t need them here. In conclusion, I don’t think anyone on this site “hates” Mexicans or any other race. What they hate is that there are certain illegal Mexicans and other illegal immigrants that are exploiting American taxpayers for personal gain, and they are getting a big assist from the White House and the Department of homeland Secuirty (and that agency is the biggest joke in American government) to help them do it.

When people cannot discuss logically but instead must attack others who agree with them on the basic principle, their intent is clear. Even though I was clearly against illegal immigration, my post wasn’t hateful and so it didn’t meet lwesson’s standard.
No, I don’t excuse haters because they are frustrated. I’m frustrated too, but I’m also an adult.
The issue here is legality and the failure of our politicians to enforce the laws we have. Oh yes, and the quality of the voters who put these people into office.

Perhaps Ben is traitor to nation, but his job is not to save the nation is it? Most muslims are traitors to the country they live in because, well, nationalism is a sin in islam? So they are taught islam, the koran and there is no difference between allah and govt. Thus it is easy to see how all this unrest in the ME is really a fight to implement sharia law over there. Freedom and separation of mosque and state do not exist in islam and therefore they will never exist in the ME.

And by it’s nature govt is a political system not a moral system, not even an ethical system. Maybe it will be a king, a pharoah, an ayatollah, a dynasty, a communist party rule, or just a plain old dictator! Replacement of our current system is under way, with much flowing from czars.
Iran, I think, has made a bold but clever and effective move to convert non-islamic revolutionary type govts, into these type of govts..And they have done this by creating a perception in the minds of the west that freedom is just a bullet away by eliminating a present dictator. This can hardly be in our best interests.
O is a political activist, the first one in America that does not have an agenda for preserving the nation. His agenda is not clear to the American people, but this is just consistent with lack of clarity on his place of birth. Both are deliberate efforts of deciet, PC or whatever. His real motive may be he is all for O, it maybe he is actually a muslim disguised as our preesident, may be he wants to wreck the nation financially, something else, or a mixed blend of these or other agendas? Congress is not helping preeserve the country because they, and the courts, are not exercising their status as equal branches of govt and thus are beholden to O, the party, the super rich that control the flow of money into our elections.
Congress should file suit against O and also stop funding for the war started in Libya. I suppose all suits filed by congress against O will have to be addressed by the SC. Why do we have Immigration Laws in the USA when they don’t even follow them? (of course Obama & Holder think they can pick and choose what laws they will follow on a number of issues) Seems like they are just a joke to those in office like Obama, Napolitano and Holder (and Bush wasn’t much better). I am NOT against legal immigration. I am against people coming here (from all over including terrorists), breaking our laws by entering illegally and then getting illegal documents and taking our jobs! And yes, Americans will do these jobs if they are paid a fair wage. Like many have said, most of these people are not coming here to become US citizens…but they protest and wave their Mexican flags and think we are going to give them everything…….Sorry….go home, come in legally and become a citizen…PERIOD!
I am proud to say that here in Georgia, our politicians have passed an immigration bill on par with Arizona. And, the usual people are threatening lawsuits and boycotts like in Arizona. States are finding out that we need to protect ourselves because the community organizer-in-chief, Barrack Hussein Obama sure isn’t!

There is another thing that is not happening to illegal aliens: THEY ARE NOT FINDING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET JOBS IN THE USA. Why is that?
Does it have something to do with the fact that businesses KNOWS that they will not be held accountable for giving sanctuary to illegal aliens by illegally employing them? Why is that? Is it because these businesses donate money to many political leaders including GOP political leaders? When Mitt Romney was Governor of Massachusetts, he outsourced State jobs to contractors who sent illegal aliens to do State jobs. Boston-based newspapers did stories on it, but when Governor Romney railed against illegal immigration, railed against driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, and railed against in-state tuition for illegal aliens, he never ever once railed against illegal employment of illegal aliens.
The bottom line is that illegal aliens are here in great number because they know that there are a glut of employers who will employ illegal aliens. This would not be the case if such employers KNEW that they would be heavily penalized for employing illegal aliens when they got caught AND they KNEW that the US Government would be cracking down on such employers the same way we know that the sun would rise each morning.
I will give the State of Arizona one thing: At least they crack down on employers of illegal aliens.

Don’t hire any contractor unless they use e-verift. Don’t buy a home unless the builder uses e-verify. No one gets a break on the cost of anything when illegal aliens are hired. Only the people who hire them reap any benefit AT ALL! The people who hire illegals are your “friends” and “neighbors”!They think that -well I just have a small lawn mowing business so what does it matter if I hire 5 illegal aliens who will work for one dollar an hour??? They don’t stop to think that 100′s of 1000′s of others are doing the same thing. The illegal alien women can have a baby or two and then all of a sudden thier children are “legal” citizens and the “mothers” have access to all our social programs including housing-medical care-food stamps- help with ALL exspenses-free schooling–etc. If you have a bank account you have to show all your bank records in order to qualify for medicaid! If you DON’T have a bank account you can qualify for medicaid! Wow! I think our government makes it very easy for illegal aliens to defraud our gov’t programs that WE as legal citizens and taxpayers PAY for! STOP automatic birtright citizenships and only buy from or hire people using e-verify! Let your “neighbors” know how you feel about them if you know they are hiring illegal aliens.

An immigrant worker from the next town who worked at the packing plant stated that they “work like mules” and my immediate thought was, “Yes, and so did my great-grandparents when they came to this country.” LEGAL immigration is one of those things that makes this great Country so GREAT! First, second, and often third generation immigrants usually work very hard, because they KNOW and APPRECIATE the opportunities that exist here as opposed to their homelands.
The border needs to be secured, period. A temporary work permit for migrant workers should be cheap, easy to get once a criminal background check has been done, and fingerprints and iris scans have been recorded. Any children born on United States soil to migrant workers are not automatically a Citizen, (that might require a Constitutional Amendment) and they must go through the same procedure as anyone else if they wish Citizenship. Once in place, anyone caught crossing the border illegally should receive several years of hard labor, no exceptions and no sending back across the border.

What happens at generation # 4? Frankly, I want my “mules” to be pretty much as the Founders wanted their mules and that was pretty much from the same family of mule stock.
And of course “guest worker” programs are a kind of shell game exploited by those that want cheap mules and of course hard working mules at that. If these are really Americans they are poor excuse and serve the Nation the We the People very poorly. No programs!
I worked for a small company, family run and by the time I was flippantly laid off I understood “mule”, “slave”, “obedient eyes to the ground servant”… all too well. And the funny thing was that IF they could of hired “guest workers” or illegals they would have without blinking an eye. During one of the usual beatings, this mule grabbed the whip and said NO MORE! Goodbye! The Kodak moment was priceless.
Lock down that border! Halt birthright citizenship as it was meant for the former slaves and I think that they are all pretty well dead now. Cheers! –former mule–

Amnesty, Immigration revision, whatever….Like you, I too believe any revision proposal to change our Immigration Law is subject to close scrutiny, not of the proposal as much as of the person(s) making the proposal.
Our law is currently a sound law…it requires just about everything necessary to protect our borders.
But the biggest problem we have is our White Houses…past and present…they are not enforcing this law…they recognize a tremendous “new voter base” of workers from Mexico both Legal and Illegal.
A new voter base of millions is very tempting to both parties…I suspect the Democrats are the pushers and the Republicans join in in order to get these voters for themselves, or to prevent the Democrats from capturing them; thus, the “Amnesty”proposals.
If we can calculate the number of Illegals we have here, then why can’t we find them and send them back…Lord knows our agents are trying but without help from Obama…he just doesn’t want to rile the Illegals…he wants to “romance” them.
So, what we have here is not, in my estimation, a problem with Illegals…what we have is a problem with our stupid elected who seek these votes…not once can I remember any Senator, Democrat or Republican, voicing our security” as the issue…they all voice “the poor Mexican who just wants to work”.
In the mean time, Cartel, Terrorists, Democrat Senators from Wisconsin, etc are sneaking across the border. If one Sentor or Congress member brings up a proposal for “Amnesty” or revision of the law he or she must be confronted and exposed for failure to enforce the present law, and for seeking the illegals’ votes.

I couldn’t agree more. On immigration, many Presidents and most Congresses have failed the American people. This nation was based on the RULE OF LAW. Why can’t the Congress see that this slippery slope of only enforcing the laws we want to has led to the mess we are in today. Obama and his Progressives continue to issue rules and regulations that were never passed by the Congress and our Atty. General refuses to enforce the Laws of the land. If we can’t get Napolitano and Holder fired and Obama impeached while the Republicans (with the Tea Party) in control of the House, we never will.

Bobby’s article is good, as far as it goes, but he neglected to mention that this non-enforcement of immigration law has been the policy of both parties for the last twenty-plus years. Obama and his band of merry Marxists have just taken it to a higher level. Unfortunately, it’s going to take another election before anything can be done about it, if then. The present Republican leadership are not concerned with anything beyond maintaining themselves in office and are too stupid to see that the best way to do so is to go to war with the Democrats, to differentiate the policy of the parties and give voters a clear choice.

I spoke earlier about the Two Sides to every story. So, I’ll take my own advice & do the other side now.
The other side of the Pukeaticians likely would be some story such as.
1— We,[the politicos] have to get the voter base locked in.
2— Because “We dang sure don’t have a “Citizen” base any longer.
3— Because: Thanks to Al Gore Inventing the Interent , “We” have been found out to be exactly what most have known for decades. It Ain’t about America, the Constitution, Laws we passed,
4— It is now & has been for decades about ME<ME<ME< the Crooked politician / politicians that have been sucking on the Public’s wallet for so long that the People no longer Trust us to kiss their butts for a vote.
5– It will not be long till , [the way the Pukiticians are going ] the only voters left are Illegals.
6– It’s a good thing “We” [ R's,D's,I's] Pukaticians have a plan to stay in power otherwise “We’ would be honest working taxpayers. & that would really suck.

Secretary Janet Napolitano is spending too much time around Obama and has caught his “double talk disorder”.She talks about all the goodies to stop the invasion of our Southern border. Will I would love to see a list of these things, instead of just more talk! Obama has a plan alright, and as soon as both parties can start working together……all this equates to is, “as soon as the House Republicans give in or I lye to get my way we will…. Same old trash being put out, just like the 2011 budget! Oh, I changed my mind about my Czar’s….too bad, so I reneged on the budget and forgot to tell you! How about “no ground troops in Libya”, keep watching! I’ll bet he puts them in!

I married when I was on active duty with the Army stationed in Germany. My wife & 2 stepchildren had to go through the immigration process to be allowed to accompany me when I was reassigned stateside. We did the process and all became legal immigrants. It bothers us both that the illegal population want govt forms, schools & such to be issued or taught in their native language rather than English. My 2 stepchildren suffered in early grades as they spoke German. The Mexican kids here were allowed to be taught in Spanish so their grades never suffered. The local school district refused to offer my children the same services and rather placed them is special education classes as learning disabled because they didn’t have a working knowledge of English at the time. They both overcame this and graduated High School. So for my family we say if they want to live and work in the US then they need to fill out the proper paperwork to apply for visas before they are ever allowed to enter the country, and they must learn English. I lived in Germany & learned German. Is it too much to ask the same for those who live here?

First off, not all Americans are the best spellers, or might in the heat of passion for their country misspell or pronunciate incorrectly in a post This has no bearing on their voices, which, by the way is being heard all over the country and applauded quite loudly, as the last election testifies. With that said, I hope none of the patriotic Americans who visit and comment on this site will take heed to the liberals who also visit and cast votes for sheer meaness, and try to silence the truth or diminish it. Obama will do anything to remain in office. All along he has believed that the votes of illegals granted amnesty for no other reason than their vote, or the prison inmate votes will keep him in office. He is hand in glove with Nepolioano (just might be misspelled, as if I care). Until they are out of office we will be seeing these desperate measures. Hopefully, it will be history that tells the story of corruption in our country, and oh, what a tale that will be. All of these egotistical maniacs will one day get their comeuppance.

Hey, I know how to stop all bank roberies, drug dealing, murders, etc. All of them ! Simply don’t arrest them. The numbers will support the fact that, since no arrests are made, the violations don’t exist. That’s exactly what the Commucrats are doing here. Obama recently held a meeting on border security. The problem is, he didn’t invite anyone affected by the problem. Those who attended are only his old time supporters from places like New York – duuuuh? The underlying problem is, there are sooooo many gullible, American couch potatos who swallow it. The US Govt. has made an exact science of twisting numbers and appealing to the uninformed public. this is just another example and Obama has gathered the experts to make deception and truth-twisting his platform. Where are the truthers? Fox News had a feature this morning on the border problem; however, they didn’t make their message simple enough to appeal to the masses of viewers. Hey Fox, we’re dealing with a generation of video game experts here … Be direct and MAKE IT SIMPLE!

Our Government, has allowed the invasion of 30 million criminals in direct violation of Article IV, Section IV of our Constitution. they force American tax payers to pay Billions to provide Welfare, Prison cells, Educate the invaders children, free medical care,massive document fraud, & are destroying our schools, hospitals, communities, culture while Robbing, Raping, Killing & Assaulting American Citizens WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Every Non-representative including obama and holder should be IMPEACHED! for not upholding the oath of office they swore to defend the Constitution! If these clowns were to do their job, this would all be a Moot point!

Like “We” haven’t seen hundreds of previous statements verifying these events. At least from some who know how bad the Illegal problems are in Border states.
Nappytiano dam well knows the level of corruption death & division occurring here within the U.S. borders. Of course one needs to consider the depth of the “Greater Good” plan / “Agenda” , to be able to ascertain the scope of What “O”/Zero is really up to. New World Order doesn’t seem to be quite what I see happening in the U.S., I see “Third World Order” as plain as day. A Nation Just like the POTUS grew up with in Kenya.

Border Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County Arizona has a message for Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, who claims the U.S. – Mexico border is safer than ever – “that is an outright laugh!”
Last month, Janet Napolitano told an audience in El Paso, Texas that the security on the southern boarder “is better now than it ever has been” and that Mexican violence has not had a serious effect on neighboring towns.
“These are foreign-born criminals that are here in our country,” Babeu said, “That’s what we’re finding is going on here, and not only is it unacceptable, it has created a situation where now, there are as few as 75, as many as 100 lookout posts from drug cartels just for this one smuggling corner- drug cartels hold high positions on terrain features or mountains to provide safe passage for their drug cartels. That a cartel from Mexico can have this mature an organization in our country is outrageous.”
Cartels derive much of their power by violence and instilling fear into the law enforcement officials. Indeed, Babeu and his team of deputies have had numerous threats on their lives. Babeu says he never is unarmed.
“They kill police chiefs, they kill judges, they kill journalists, and mayors of small communities. That violence clearly is coming to America,” he said. “ We’ve had people that have been kidnapped, people that have been murdered, largely illegals. We’ve had, in Chandler, Arizona, a beheading that is now confirmed…. So the violence isn’t coming here, the violence is here. It’s not going to get better; it’s going to get worse until we secure this border..”

Any GOP candidate who rails against illegal immigration but won’t rail against employers who ILLEGALLY employ them…
…Such candidates DO NOT DESERVE ANY OF OUR VOTES!
I want political leaders to hold employers accountable for each and every illegal aliens they illegally employ.
AT THE SAME TIME, I want such political leaders to work on improving E-Verify programs and require employers to use the E-Verify as part of screening applicants for employment. Currently, the law PROHIBITS employers from using E-Verify to screen applicants. I want that law changed.
I want to heavily penalize employers who illegally employ illegal aliens, but yet at the same time, help employers to keep illegal aliens out of their employ.
I suspect the reason why political candidates and elected political leaders don’t rail against employers illegally employing illegal aliens IS THAT THESE POLITICAL CANDIDATES AND POLITICAL LEADERS ARE ON THE TAKE WITH SUCH EMPLOYERS.
Furthermore, I want the Government to verify that Government contractors DO NOT USE ILLEGAL ALIENS TO DO GOVERNMENT WORK.
