Corbett's new term: Bonus case, scams, illegal guns on agenda

Corbett has announced charges against 12 people once affiliated with the House Democratic Caucus. They are accused of using taxpayer money and resources to aid re-election campaigns. Corbett has said legislative staffers were paid bonuses for work on those campaigns.

Those charged include Rep. Sean Ramaley, D-Allegheny County; former Rep. Mike Veon, D-Beaver County; and Mike Manzo, the former chief of staff to House Democratic Leader William DeWeese, D-Greene.

Longtime Democratic Senator Fumo confidant offers devastating testimony

A longtime confidant of State Sen. Vincent J. Fumo's testified yesterday that he received more than $500,000 under lucrative Senate contracts while working as Fumo's political hired gun - and submitted false bills to justify his paychecks.
