not sure what the cartoonist (artist) is trying to say……..
I too, do not understand.
Is this an implication from a liberal point of view that Trump won, and the country lost?
I like to think of it as an Awakening of the American Spirit that rose up out of the ashes, took a stand, and Voted for America. From 1941 to 1945, 4 years in which America recovered and was victorious. And thats about what it is going to take to repeal some of the damage the current administration/government did.
It seems to me that the cartoonist is saying that December 7, 1941 wasn’t the last day of infamy but our flag flies on.
Definition of infamy.
the state of being well known for some bad quality or deed:
“a day that will live in infamy”
synonyms: notoriety · disrepute · ill fame · disgrace · discredit · [more]
an evil or wicked act:
“one of history’s greatest infamies”
Infamy means that It will NOT be forgotten.
Not every picture has a deeper meaning buried in it.
I agree, you shouldn’t be trying to read any sort of message into that drawing..
75 years later, evil deeds toward Americans lives on.
There is nothing shameful about the ideal of the United States. GOD, family and freedom from government.
There are those that consider this ideal evil, unfair, old fashion, etc. same old redirect from control freaks that whiners leach onto.
Unfortunately there are shameful people everywhere in the world. As elected/unelected leaders and media elites have given full display of.
Perhaps infamy lives on because, despite the passage of a full seventy-five years, Japan still declines to offer an official apology for its cowardly sneak attack upon Pearl Harbor.
But yet obama had to give THEM one for a-bombing nagasaki and hirosima..
