Picture imperfect: Voter ID measure gets shelved The Oklahoman 5-6-08
The day after the U.S. Supreme Court said it was OK to require voters to show proof of their identity at the polls, a bill that would mandate the same practice in Oklahoma was mothballed for this session. Go figure.
Editor's Note -- It appears the Dems want voter fraud to continue or else they would have helped pass this bill.

Term-limit measure stalls after state Senate tie The Oklahoman 5-6-08
A deadlock in the Senate over whether to call a referendum on imposing term limits on statewide elected officials couldn't be broken Monday because Lt. Gov. Jari Askins declined to vote on the bill.

Elementary school students in Oklahoma's public schools will be more physically active beginning this fall.Senate Bill 1186, signed into law Monday by Gov. Brad Henry, will increase the physical activity requirement in kindergarten through fifth grade from 60 minutes each week to 120 minutes.
