Gov. David Paterson traveled with ex-lover for Hillary Clinton campaign
New York Daily News, March 25 2008

Gov. Paterson and his ex-lover traveled together in recent months to Iowa and South Carolina — courtesy of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

Editor's Note -- PressConnects.com also has a good article on this. From the PressConnects article:Some political observers said the explanation may be hard for the public to accept and brings into doubt the validity of Paterson's initial disclosure that the relationship ended years ago.Kirton was appointed by Spitzer to her $150,000-a-year job and now works directly for Paterson. During the alleged affair, she served as a deputy attorney general, and Paterson was a state senator."The one thing that he's had going for him in this scandal is that he's been very frank," said Douglas Muzzio, a political science professor at Baruch College."If it can be shown that they were likely still having an affair, it just blows that right up," he said.

Ferraro Is Unapologetic for Remarks and Ends Her Role in Clinton Campaign
The New York Times, March 13 2008

Geraldine A. Ferraro resigned Wednesday from Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign finance committee but remained unapologetic for citing Senator Barack Obama’s race as the decisive factor in his success.

Editor's Note -- Hillary's having a bad week. First she loses a superdelegate over something that reminds people of Monica, and then a senior person on her campaign quits over potentially racist remarks.

Federal agents have determined New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer used a high-priced call-girl ring at least eight times in recent months, and agents had him under surveillance twice this year, sources familiar with the investigation said Wednesday.

Spitzer scandal may hurt Clinton campaign
Newsday.com, March 12 2008

To the outside world, they were home state allies, but Hillary Rodham Clinton and Gov. Eliot Spitzer couldn't even agree on the details of his begrudging endorsement of her presidential bid in May 2007.

Editor's Note -- It just gets better and better. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Editor's Note -- Even the Democrats I know are calling him arrogant for not resigning. Having said that, he hasn't resigned, which means we get to kick him around for a while. This is gonna be great.

Outside money fuels 48th contest. The battle for a state Senate vacancy in Northern NY will cost nearly $2 million.
The Syracuse Post-Standard, February 15th, 2008

In just one month, Assemblymen Darrel Aubertine and Will Barclay have each spent almost $1 million on a February special election for the 48th Senate district.Few contributions have come from people who live in the vast region from Fulton to Ogdensburg, along the Canadian border.Instead, almost all of the money has come in wire transfers and checks worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from Republican and Democratic party committees controlled in Albany and New York City.

Editor's Note -- This contest is big. We have a thin two seat majority in the senate. The former senator was a republican, so we need to keep this seat or we have a razor thin one seat majority. Will Barclay Campaign site

Hillary thinks Karl Rove obsesses about her. Really.

Reacting to a new book quoting Karl Rove as saying she will be the 2008 Democratic nominee for president, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday that President Bush's chief political strategist "spends a lot of time obsessing about me."

Editor's Note -- I can't make this stuff up. This reminds me of that woman who thought David Letterman was sending signals to her through her TV. This is the best volunteering I think I have ever done in my life. I'd like to thank GOPUSA.com for giving me the opportunity to share stuff like this. This is hysterical - I can't stop laughing about this.
