Pelosi: Votes are there to pass immigration reform

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday there is a bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives ready to pass a comprehensive immigration overhaul bill, but she may never get the chance to prove it if GOP Speaker John A. Boehner doesn't bring a vote in the Republican-lead House.

"With 28 Republicans having publicly expressed support for a path to citizenship, we believe the votes are there on a bipartisan basis to pass a bill," she wrote on Facebook. "It's just a question whether Speaker Boehner can muster the will to schedule a vote."

Ms. Pelosi, California Democrat, held a question-and-answer session about immigration on her Facebook page Tuesday afternoon. Though she got more than 600 posts from users on topics ranging from Obamacare to Hillary Clinton's possible presidential run in 2016 to whether or not Democrats will take back control of the House next year, she responded to fewer than 10 of them and focused on the planned topic of immigration.

Some posters shared their own stories of how the country's immigration laws have hurt them, especially the year-long wait for illegal immigrants to move to the U.S. to be with their spouses and children.

"This is a perfect example of why we need comprehensive immigration reform. One of the key goals of our bipartisan bill is to reunite families. We do this by including provisions that reduce family visa backlogs," Ms. Pelosi wrote.

Others talked specifically about how the proposed bill would help young adults who moved to America as children, called "Dreamers."

Many asked what Ms. Pelosi's plan is to move the bill forward, despite the fact that many Republicans do not support immigration reform.

"We cannot afford to waste the opportunity that we have right now," she responded. "There are Republicans who support this effort, we must make sure their voices are heard. The time for excuses is over -- it's time to pass this bill and get the job done for the American people."

While many wrote in simply to express their support of the former speaker, her critics also came out in full force with comments like "Why are you so dead-set on trying to destroy this country?" and "As you are a disgrace to our country, when will you resign?"

If her “Comprehensive” immigration bill is as REPREHENSIVE and as filled with pork and deception as Her and Obama’s Reprehensible NON-Affordable sold as affordable Healthcare bill, just be prepared, as usual, to get the opposite results of what they claim to offer in their bill. Those who learn not the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. Enter Pelosi and her Botox ridden Obamacare that temporarily makes you look good on the outside, and feel good on the inside, but in the long run is the equivalent of injecting poison on the inside, and just as destructive in the long run to your face. With socialists, you ALWAYS get the opposite in results of what they promise you with their overblownup Lip injected distorted mouths. The balloon is about to burst, ,,,again.

How many votes do we have for proof of citizenship when registering to vote and show the photo ID before voting? How about finger print ,or inked finger after voting, that would be much better than that stupid sticker “I voted” they pass out now( another waste of taxpayer money).

We can only hope that enough people will have changed when the next elections come around tipping the scale in favor of America being the shiny city on the hill again however, we can not underestimate the power this president has controlling people.

He is allowed to operate as a one eyed king in the land of the blind.

When a leader can openly lie to the people and still has a 42% approval rating is plain unbelievable yet, that’s what is is.

Pelousy said “The time for excuses is over — it’s time to pass this bill and get the job done for the American people.”
Please tell me what advantage giving millions of illegals Citizenship, is going to do to help the AMERICAN People!.
We are already supporting most of them through our Government subsidies and aids, and if you do it, they will come in droves to be included. This is nothing but a severe drain on our resources, and merely a Dem. effort to retain their loyalty and votes. This is the reason, the only reason, they are so keen on getting the bill passed. Well, maybe not the only reason, there is the fact that they do help Nobama in his quest to bring our Country to it’s knees, and its populace, into complete Government dependency, and into inevitable Bankruptcy.
In the end, if this bill is passed, they will be a significant part of his total agenda, as they show their loyalty and votes to him in thanks for his bill to bring them legally into our Country. Don’t forget, too, if the bill passes, it will also be a means of bringing him to legal status as well. If this bill happens, not only will many take jobs which our true Citizens need, but they will in all likelihood, be preferred hirees as they will be considered the new Americans by the Proxident. Those who cannot find jobs, will remain on our Government, support them, programs.

Why doesn’t he just make Mexico, which is the highest number of fence jumpers, a State, then most of his policies will be complete?. They will automatically, become Citizens, he would have millions, if not billions more votes, and he would not then have to worry about those pesky deportations, or securing the borders. AH, but then, all the other illegals will ask that their Countries of Origin also become part of the US too, not to be discriminated against, since Mexico was made a state.
Where does this Lunacy end?. We are in freefall now, and the thump of the bottom, a third world Country, is very near.
