White House spokesman Jay Carney says there's nothing new or unusual about Obama meeting with people and groups who support his agenda. He says administration officials may attend events for Organizing for Action, a nonprofit group being spun off from Obama's re-election campaign, but won't be raising money.
But Carney isn't specifically disputing reports that donors who give or raise $500,000 will be invited to quarterly meetings with Obama.
The group has said its purpose is to rally support for Obama's policy agenda - not to support or oppose candidates. It's accepting unlimited personal and corporate donations, but plans to disclose its donors.

If you believe this I have a bridge for sale you should be interested in. Once again we hear Mr. Marxist lying through his teeth. About the only thing you can be sure of and that is if fool in the white house is talking, the truth is the opposite of what he is saying.
February 26, 2013 @ 3:27 pm
this is the spartest man in washingon and what he says MUST be true and if i was jay carney i would ask for a promotion to vp. liberalism is an UNCURABLE DISEASE with no solution…
February 26, 2013 @ 4:55 pm
Jay Carney is the biggest weasel I have ever seen that sneaked into the Big White House. His answers about the 0.5 Mil payoff to the Big White House (or, rather, his evasiveness) was probably fine-tuned since public grammar school when his momma used to drop him off and drive off to her dance school.
From there, he probably had his tighty-whities v-wedged up his butt, his lunch money stolen, and his hair “swirlied” in the hi-capacity toilets where he used to hide out.
Does ANYONE think this guy has EVER told the truth in the last twenty-five years? He’s learned from getting lumped.
February 26, 2013 @ 3:03 pm
One of my Senator’s staffers (and he is a Republican?) “excused” it by saying the money does NOT go to the President but to an organization. DUH. And we elect this people? Are there any politicians who have integrity and can see and take action against obvious misbehavior? It may not be “illegal” but it sure the heck is unethical!
February 26, 2013 @ 3:54 pm
Goldminer, Is your question of the kind that is referred to as “rhetorical”? Yes, “we” elect them, over and over again. The “Founders” never, as you know, considered “term-limits,” for them or The Supremes. You really had to have been there. They had no concept or thought that any person would want to make their “service” to their country a life-long job. After all, they had work and a family back home and many had a big yard that needed to be mowed. There are many who retire and go on to the really big money. After a few terms on The Hill one must be very well connected, don’t you think? Is Hillary now getting $150,000 per speech or is it just a mere $100,000?
February 26, 2013 @ 4:08 pm
The founders never planned on paying them either. The idea was to serve your country then go back to the tobacco farm.
Who wants to bet that the administration will disclose the doners is just one more lie out of hundreds.
Carvey is about the sleazest weasel ever to be a spokesman for any administration. He fits right in with these slime.

We are seeing liberal marxist alinskyism in full bloom. Obama was reelected and they do not care anymore and they are defying those of us who are left to stop them.
They control the media, they control the education system, and they now believe they have enough of the population either dumbed down, distracted by reality tv, or dependent enough with free food, free health care, free housing, free utilities, and free cell phones.
This is truly the US’ last stand. If we don’t stop them here, America will be no more.
February 26, 2013 @ 3:59 pm
Stop them? How do you propose doing that?
February 26, 2013 @ 4:00 pm
I was born in the twenties and have heard this Socialist **** all my life, we had a Democratic President during WWII in which I fought. The American people elected FDR for four consecutive terms and we are not there yet. The Tories (Republicans) think only lining the pockets of the wealthy and they are not contributing to the well being of our country, only becoming more wealthy. To be sure there are some freeloaders and will always be but we are a nation that thinks we should take care of our own. There are some people that are just not able to take care of themselves and we are a compassionate country that will step in and help, some of you think they are freeloaders but you are wrong for the most part.
February 26, 2013 @ 4:09 pm
We stop them by any and all means necessary,
February 26, 2013 @ 5:12 pm
To grantjrdaniel:
Your bellyful of the current **** is hard to hold: God knows I’ve on;y had to put up with it only since the 60s. I won’t give up; what’s the alternative?
Keep fighting until the great unenlightened wake up and the Liar-In-Cheif is shown to be What He Is!
February 26, 2013 @ 4:23 pm
First, we stop them by keeping a Republican majority in the House and electing a Republican majority in the Senate in 2014.
After that, we will have to see what should be done next … but (importantly) we WILL have the ability to do it.
Just keep close watch on those that we elect. Any of them who start to stray need to be shaped up before they go ‘stupid’.
February 26, 2013 @ 4:39 pm
I’ve written and called by Representative and Senators and told them “Unless you start doing something to stop this man, Congress is going to be irrelevant”.
They didn’t seem to like me saying that.
Our new Senator Ted Cruz seems to have gone up there and do what he said he was going to do. Can you imagine?
February 26, 2013 @ 9:57 pm
I like Cruz, he tells it like it is and is impervious to this Administrations intimidation. I feel Senator Rand Paul fits this strong category too.
The fundamental transformation of the USA is to a United Socialist States of America. The head of the snake that is constricting us is not in the oval office. This set up was started before he was born.
February 26, 2013 @ 10:16 pm
We can’t do anything about the snakes of yesteryear. But the current snake in the oval office needs to have his head (and other parts) cut off.
February 26, 2013 @ 4:56 pm
I knew it wouldn’t be long before this NON-PROFIT(ha) organization was going to rise to the top of obamas agenda.
February 26, 2013 @ 6:15 pm
So the 1%’ers will be the only people who get access to the president. The rich people who can afford $500,000.00 will get an audience. What about all the poor folks Obama pretends to care so much about? Is this the change we can believe in? Is he going to donate the profits to the poor, I doubt it. Pimping the president, how much lower can these left-wing progressives go? Low class doesn’t even come close.
February 26, 2013 @ 6:25 pm
You’d think by now people would realize this man is lower than a snake’s suspenders. Apparently ignorance is not only bliss, it can’t be treated.
February 27, 2013 @ 7:08 am
How is Barack Obama different than any street walker? Give me $500,000 and do want you want to me, is that the President you elected?
February 27, 2013 @ 8:51 am
This is Chicago-style corruption, pure and simple. The mega-money people versus the rest of us. They are using the very mechanism that has given control to the big-money people in our elections.
I urge everyone to act to join the “Movement to Amend” website, and to work to get a Constitutional Amendment enacted to over-ride the SCOTUS Citizens United ruling.
This will wipe out the “citizenship of corporations” and the organizational structure being used by OFA. That will go a long way toward restoring the voting power of the public.
