Obama says 'trust matters'

By GOPUSA Staff

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - President Barack Obama says at the start of a 48-hour campaign trip that "trust matters" in a presidential campaign and he has kept the same values throughout his political career.

Obama is seeking to contrast himself with what he considers Republican Mitt Romney's shifting views.

Obama told voters in Iowa's Quad Cities on Wednesday that they can take videotape of things he said 10 years ago or 12 years ago and say, quote, "man, this is the same guy."

Obama says he hasn't finished all the work he and his supporters set out to do in 2008, but says he has fought for people every day.

Iowa is the first stop on a 48-hour trip to key states. The president said: "We're going to pull an all-nighter. No sleep."

“man, this is the same guy.”

    That is what scares me.

Obama says trust matters??? I guess he must have been joking, he seems to have a real problem with the truth! I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

TRUST. I would not trust this individual with my dogs food, and I don’t have a dog. Try out his Transparency promise, just off the top of my head and off the cuff. Trust, the current occupant of the Federal Housing Project at 1600 Penn Ave?? Not Bloody Likely.

He really must think we are all stupid!

Two of the many reasons why I refuse to vote for him: “trust” and “political values”.

I laugh every time he uses the word trust or truth because neither can be used to describe him.

Good God! Obama has left behind the longest trail of lies, deceit, and broken promises of any president in history (most of which, unfortunately for him, are on tape.) He told a half-dozen more in Monday’s debate….and he wants us to trust him?? Talk about brass!

I was on a site earlier that took Obama up on things he said 10 years ago and proved with Obama’s own words that he lied again.

Trust????? Obama does not even know what the word TRUST means. Well at least he doesn’t act like it. Just look at murders in Benghazi, Libya. Obama and his administration have told so many stories who would trust them now. First it was demonstration that got out of hand. Then it was because of some C rated film. Then Obama said he was going to find out what really happened and prosecute someone. Now we find out that the federal government had a drone flying overhead and saw the whole thing go down. So who do you trust with our countries security?
    1. reliance confidence in and reliance on good qualities, especially fairness, truth, honor, or ability.
    2. position of obligation the position of somebody who is expected by others to behave responsibly or honorably.

    Trust? who? Obamalinsky?
Even the State Dept’s latest on Benghazi is a cover up with 70% of the report released to the media blackout censored.
If he gets re-elected with what he has presented as credentials and in performance, we had best require an IQ test score along with photo ID to register to vote.

Funny he should talk about being so trustworthy on the day that it comes out that the White House knew Libya was a terrorist attack 2 HOURS after it happened and then spent 2 WEEKS saying it wasn’t. That doesn’t sound even a little bit truthful or trustworthy to me.

Trust matters? Hope and change died, “Forward” is a joke and now the buzz words are “Trust matters”?

Half of America trusted him in 2008, the other half was smarter than that. If the trusters haven’t awakened and smelled the coffee by now, America as we knew it will be only a memory after November 2012.

Remember the Viet Nam era Bumper stickers “America Love it or Leave it”; Well this Viet Nam Vet, and ‘old fart’ is leaving if the current occupant of the federal housing project located at 1600 Penn Ave, gets another 4 year lease.

Here, I can not exist on Social Security, which I faithfully contributed to for over 47 YEARS, nor can afford medical care even before obamacare, damn sure can’t afford it with obamacare.

I will not have the government of the country I defended in the 60′s and 70′s dictate to me over private matters inside my house, a government that has and is still trying to take away any and all freedoms given us and protected by the military for two hundred years, ie the Bill Of Rights.

I am not alone, check out the number of Americans that have left, and these are not just the millionaires, a lot of us are what used to be middle class.

If the current occupant is re-elected I truly believe that there is absolutely NO HOPE for my America.

Thus ends the rant for today

Obama told voters in Iowa’s Quad Cities on Wednesday that they can take videotape of things he said 10 years ago or 12 years ago and say, quote, “man, this is the same guy.”

This is the only part of this whole comment which rings true. If you listen to his speeches in 2008, and those now, you will hear almost word for word the same then and now. You can research this yourself, and see this is truth, by doing a NObama speeches, then and now search on Yahoo or google.
I was stunned that not only were the words almost exact, but even his body language was twin.
The man is a fake, and does not warrant a second term. I am sure he is not finished with what he began in 2008, but from what we have seen so far, we cannot afford for him to finish in another term. If his first term was any clue, we will have another 6-8 Trillion in debt at the end of 4 more if he is permitted to be re-elected.

You’re damn right trust matters, Mr. President, and I haven’t trusted you since you began running for the presidency in 2008. And Benghazi-gate is proving more and more each day that I’ve been right all along.

Well, I can’t trust him. He said while running he believe a marriage was between a man and a woman. He said he was going to be the most transparent president in history. He said there would be no lobbyists in the white house. He said he was going to get this economy working again. I don’t even remember him telling us much except home and change. Well, 4 years later we have no hope and just a little change in our pockets. Did he tell us while running, he was going to go around congress and grant amnesty. Did he tell us we would have a health care bill that bankrupt us. Did he tell us he would put us 5 trillion more dollars in debt. I think he promised us that he was going to cut the debt in half. And if he one more time says he couldn’t pass his agendas because of those darn republicans. Well he controlled the house and senate the first two years and you could see by the 2010 election, we weren’t happy with him. No I cannot trust this man. And the latest thing Benghazi. Can we trust anything
coming from any elected official and we get new verified reports every day that contradict what they tell us. Can you honestly say you trust this man.

I almost laughed out loud when I heard that comment by Obama about trust. I bet Ambassador Stevens, if he were still alive to comment, would say “do not trust this President to have your back” because he is “all talk and no do” and this goes back to his lack of experience across the board. President Obama has lied so much about everything that he has trouble keeping his story together and when you go back and look at what he has promised or said versus where we are today and the results of his policies, it is blatantly clear that we cannot trust this President with the leadership of our country.

There is one simple but critical move that Obama blew primarily because of his overall lack of experience and that is putting together the right people in the right jobs in his administration that knew what to do, for example, with the economy of the country. Obama brought in political cronies and hordes of people from academia and wall street to fill in his cabinet and staff his new concept of “Czars” who operate outside of the perview of the Congress. For example, Janet Napilatano as heading Homeland Security, was such an obvious political appointee and someone with zero experience in the domain involved in one of our most important departments in our government. This just shows how weak this President is and why his administration has totally failed across the board. They are a group of inexperienced, and in many cases, incompetent people who have made things dramatically worse, not better, in this country.

We have to put Romney in there who will put together an experienced and competent team that will figure out how to turn around this mess. It is critical that Romney get elected.

Think about this: These figures aren’t exact but they’re pretty darn close. Total Estimated Federal Income Tax receipts for 2011 were approximately 1.27 trillion. There are approximately 218 million adults over 18 living in the US. If you want to be FAIR that would be a Federal Income tax bill of about $5,800 per person. If you are not currently paying at least this amount, you are not pulling your weight, somebody else is carrying you, and you are getting awfully darn heavy. At the very least, you should be appreciative of those who are helping you out instead of denigrating them. BTW, yahoo news won’t let me post these comments.

He said trust matters – he did not say that he is trustworthy. He wants the audience to make that conclusion subliminally.

“Obama told voters in Iowa’s Quad Cities on Wednesday that they can take videotape of things he said 10 years ago or 12 years ago and say, quote, “man, this is the same guy.”

Yep, just look at the ad comparing his speeches then to now – they are the same – almost identical.

    And it is still rubbish.
