Obama admin will monitor primary elections in 5 Florida counties

By AP Staff

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Federal authorities say they will be monitoring elections in five Florida counties.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced on Monday that its employees will visit polling places in Collier, Hendry, Lee, Osceola and Polk counties during Tuesday's primary election.

Department observers will check to make sure county election workers are following federal election laws.

The agency stated that those five counties are required to provide language assistance in Spanish.

Collier and Lee recently carried out a purge of potential non-U.S. citizens from its voting rolls even though other counties raised questions about the accuracy of a list put together by state officials.

The U.S. Department of Justice recently sent subpoenas to nine counties seeking information about how counties handled the state push to identify and remove potentially ineligible voters.

Obama’s henchmen will intimidate, lie, cheat, use the courts, and every other underhanded scheme to get this hollow sock puppet of a man re-elected. Obama must go for the sake of our Nation, he is not one of us.

“The agency stated that those five counties are required to provide language assistance in Spanish.”

Assistance in Spanish should not be necessary in an English-speaking nation, and Congress had an opportunity to stop this but they voted down the “English as official language” several years ago. I have heard rumors that it is being reconsidered in Congress now, but it will not be approved as long as Harry Reid has control of the Senate..

I wonder how many of these polling places will display New Black Panthers in full paramilitary gear with night sticks at the door. It happened in Philly in 2008 and Eric Holder refused to prosecute them for voter intimidation, so I am sure it will happen more and more during this campaign.

Reid needs to be tried for treason! He deliberately holds up legislation that will not be voted on as long as he is in charge. That alone should be enough to fire him. As for his lies they are about equal to his boss who thinks a lie a day is not enough….there must be more!

Glad to see the DOJ is Johnny on the spot. Protecting that right to vote while simultaneously suing Ohio to similarly limit the military’s right to vote. If that makes sense to you, please explain to me, using conventional (not liberal) logic. I know it “seems” logical to the left, but that only confirms the idiocy of it.

I’m betting that there will be NO MAJOR PROBLEMS FOUND. This is an absurd waste of Taxpayer money – I’ll be looking for them to LOUDLY ANNOUNCE the results of this – if you never hear about it again, you can bet that no problems were found.

I just hope that this is not a leftist set-up, whose outcome is already pre-determined….

Without a court order, the Federal government has no right to be in any State polling place. The only persons permitted, by law, are the voters, the election officials, and Party designated pollwatchers. Even candidates are not allowed, except for the sole purpose of casting a vote in their home precinct. I hope that the election officials call on the assistance of the State Police to have them removed if they appear.

I strongly suggest that the Republican Party assign ‘monitors’ to assure the voting procedures in those districts are being adhered to according to law. Do you trust our government as it is today?

Too bad Black Panther Poll Monitoring was ruled lawful by Obama’s AG. Now we can expect to see an army of these thugs standing in front of polling booths around the nation with their billy clubs come November. Strange that Obama & Holder view this form of voter intimidation as acceptable. Anyway, using their logic, then I guess it would also be lawful for the KKK clan to show up at the polling booths wearing their traditional white sheets. How is that any different?
