ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (AP) -- Mitt Romney says the shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin is "tragic" and has asked for prayers for those who were killed.
The Republican presidential candidate opened a campaign event near Chicago on Tuesday by asking for a moment of silence. He said it appears the shooter was "motivated by hate" and that Sikhs are peaceful and loving.
The suspect, 40-year-old Army veteran Wade Michael Page, was killed by police. Authorities say he was a member of white supremacist heavy metal bands and posted frequent comments on Internet forums for skinheads.
Romney said he is praying for the six worshippers who were killed and for those who are mourning the loss of loved ones.
Romney resumed active campaigning after spending Sunday and Monday at his home in New Hampshire.

Motivated by hate? Get out of town! Really? So that would make it a “hate crime”? How many love crimes are there where seven people get killed, aside from in honor killings in the “Religion of Peace”?

Never will stop some crazy who hate and won a kill,but Dems now is fuel to a crazy a hate,he know how much American hate illegals,fuel a hate?simple let invade USA,but inverse are reduce illegals.See a mentality od Dems and liberals.When I wa come to USA,I was Dems,but last election was open my mind and eyes,see real my opinion and form of thing are equal with Republican,and I was understand I am a very conservative Republican.Most said latino are with Dems,Not all true,a lot of Latino are with a GOP.
