Clint Eastwood endorsing Romney's presidential bid

By Steve Peoples

SUN VALLEY, Idaho (AP) — Clint Eastwood just made Mitt Romney's day.

The Oscar-winning director and longtime movie star says he's endorsing the Republican presidential candidate.

Eastwood tells The Associated Press that he's backing Romney because, in Eastwood's words, "I think the country needs a boost."

Eastwood was among those attending a Romney fundraiser Friday night in Sun Valley, Idaho.

In February, Eastwood told Fox News that he wasn't supporting any politician at that time. Some saw the "halftime in America" ad he made for the Super Bowl as a nod toward President Barack Obama. Eastwood responded then by saying he was not "politically affiliated" with the president.

Eastwood won Academy Awards for directing and producing "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby" and starred in those films as well as the Dirty Harry movies.

I knew there had to be some good in Dirty Harry. He done gone and seen through those crooked politicians and would be slave makers who only want to tax and spend. He has done gone and seen the light and in that light he seen a champion for the people, and he was none other than Mitt Romney riding on his wife’s famous horse (Whatever name).

OK, so my dream may be off by a tad, but old Clint came through when the going got rough. That just goes to show you that cowboys always grow up to be good guys in the end. And that is the way it is in the year of our Lord 2012. Bye y’all. Got to go clean my six shooter.

I am glad Clint finally clarified who he is for. Obama has enough misguided stars rooting for him. Obama=Failure

Clint Eastwood, (The Outlaw, Josey Wales, Dirty Harry…) long ago made the big time. He is an iconic legend, in Hollywood. He has done it all, and for such a long time, that he has entered a phase in his life, where he could care less what the H–L the Hollywood Establishment thinks.

He has been, feeling lucky, for some time. That he has made for the Money Machine of Hollywood, near countless dollars, provides a near bullet proof, insulation. He left, loving Hollywood, for Italy, in a bold career move, that provided the unforgettable Spaghetti Westerns. So he can leave it again, laughing all of the way to the bank.

Now, just await the HATE that is going to be sent after Eastwood. Like in Josey Wales, hunting him, will only prove that the LEFT is mentally unstable, deranged and in need of providing buzzards, food. “Not a hard man to track. Leaves dead men, wherever he goes.” I reckon so.

What a great American! I have long been a fan of Mr. Eastwood, now even more so. I wish we had more Hollywood icons like him willing to step-up to the plate and do what’s right for America. He probably won’t get anymore Oscar nominations or even invites to the red carpet because of his political stance but I’m sure he knew that. The left can be very vicious when you turn against them.

I worked in, The Business. Vicious, you are right. Like walking on eggshells.

A friend who still does some work, said that he HAD to sign a paper that he would not make any negative comments about gays, women… . Never had to do that myself but it seems that they are so unstable, that they have resorted to this form of threat.

Clint Eastwood just, MADE MY DAY! A real American Hero!

On behalf of my soldier-son I thank you, Mr. Eastwood, for your positive portrayals over the years as well as your support of Mr. Romney. It is wonderful to see a member of the Hollywood elite who has courage, talent and a brain!

Go Clint, we love ya man.
Thanks for having the brass ones we see you portray in the movies, in your supporting of Mr. Mitt Romney.
I know, as well as you, that this statement will not sit well with the Dems, and probably your peers in the entertainment industry. This makes your endorsement even more meaningful, and appreciated, that you put all that on the line, and said your peace.
    God bless you and yours,
    for your courage under fire.

TAKE OUT THE TRASH IN NOVEMBER

It is refreshing to see a giant movie star like Clint Eastwood come out in support of Mitt Romney. Most of the Hollywood actors pander for fans by supporting the liberal left and its policies. They seem to sell themselves out inorder to be crowd pleasers. Clint Eastwood on the other hand stands by his convictions and let the chips fall as they may. Its his way of saying “go ahead, make my day, punk.”
