AFL-CIO boosts ground support for Obama, Democrats

By Sam Hananel

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The AFL-CIO is endorsing President Barack Obama's re-election bid and says it will mount a big door-to-door effort for Democratic candidates to counter the flood of outside money that conservative groups are pouring into the campaign.

The labor federation said Tuesday its strategy is to spend less money on political parties and candidates this election cycle and place more emphasis on old- fashioned, get-out-the-vote shoe leather.

AFL-CIO officials say up to 400,000 union members will be manning phone banks and knocking on doors to persuade voters to support federal, state and local candidates.

A 2010 Supreme Court case allows union campaign workers to visit the homes of any voter, not just those of union members. The same ruling allows corporations and unions to spend unlimited cash in support of candidates.

I don’t know why anyone would be surprised. They care for nothing and no one but themselves. They are rubber stamps for Obama and entitlements for themselves.
If any of them have ever been in service, you would never know it. (Hey fellas, remember the oath you took if you went into any of the services? Didn’t mean it?)
    Losers.

If these union marauders, who have given fealty to the Prince Of Lies, choose to invade my castle, they will be met with buckets of molten TRUTH.

Much of the stimulus money went to cities and states that had been driven to the brink of bankruptcy by having to use union labor instead of the low bidder. As I remember it, the Clinton payback for the 250 million in negative attack ads aired by organized labor during the 1996 campaign was to require that all contracts involving federal money had to be union labor and that this edict immediately raised the costs by 250 billion a year. It sort of levels the playing field now that corporations can engage in similar activities.

No surprise here as the unions and the Democrats have an incestuous relationship that is counter to the best interests of Americans at large. The argument that corporations now can provide “support” to political parties to offset the the union support to Democrat politicians is somewhat debatable in that private corporations are not organized to levels where they can field 400,000 “hands on” workers ringing doorbells and intimidating voters. The RNC has nothing comparable to the national labor union organization’s ability to support a national or local political campaign. Corporations support candidates of both parties whereas unions always support Democrats. The taxpayer money that ends up in the public service union coffers through union dues always goes to Democrats when unions contribute to campaigns which turns out to be a form of “money laundering” for the DNC.

None of this should be allowed. It is an obvious unfair advantage, particularly of those unions that represent the public service arena.

Trumpka and the AFL-CIO doesn’t follow the wishes of the membership anymore with his desire to put amnesty of illegal aliens above that of getting jobs for U.S. citizens!

The unions will offer a few bucks to laid-off worker’s for their intimidation campaigns. Obummer’s minions will enlist the “Occupy” idiots to hit the streets also because they have nothing better to do. It will be a long hot Summer geared to scaring Main Street voters and diverting our attention away from the real issues. Glenn Beck laid out this whole scenario 2 years ago but he was drummed off the air at Fox.
