A nationally acclaimed commentator is alerting the world that the Muslim takeover of Europe is the “biggest story of our time” – a problem he says nobody knows about … a problem that stems from two major factors.

Mark Steyn points out that Europe is already in the death throes because 1) the western half of the continent is committing “demographic suicide” as couples are no longer having kids and, 2) the thriving Muslim population in Western Europe is currently well on its way to filling up all of the empty space that longtime Europeans are leaving behind through diminishing birthrates.

He said that a foreboding prophesy made by historian Arnold Toynbee is unfolding before our very eyes – that “civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.”

A now – not later – problem

The ominous forecast was further broken down.

“[G]iven the divergent birth rate between Muslims and post-Christian secularists, it will take only two generations for the current Muslim population (sitting at about 10-percent) to have as many grandchildren as post-Christian secularists (who currently make up the other 90 percent),” LifeSiteNews’ Pete Baklinski noted from Steyn’s synopsis. “This is due …  to Muslims having on average 3.5 children per couple, compared to post-Christian secularists, who have only 1.3 children per couple.”

Steyn warned that the ever-increasing Islamization of Europe is already taking place, stressing how more and more elementary schools – such as one in Antwerp, Belgium – are already reporting that Muslims make up a majority of their student enrollment.

“People think this is a slow process, [but] it happens very fast,” Steyn insisted, accordign to LifeSiteNews. “The catching up is well under way. Nobody is predicting anything. We’re talking about who are the kids in the grade school right now, which means they are going to be the guys entering the workforce in 15 years’ time.”

He pointed to proof that can be seen by just sitting inside many classrooms across Europe today.

“That’s not a prediction – we’re not looking at trends,” the commentator continued. “We’re looking at the actual warm bodies sitting in the elementary classes now.”

Steyn said that statistics derived from the Vienna Institute of Demography indicate that a majority of Austrians who are 15 years old and younger will be Muslim by 2050.

“This was a country that not so long ago was 90 percent Catholic,” he said.

The famous classic movie with starring Julie Andrews, The Sound of Music – that took the audience back to 1938 when an Austrian family was fleeing the Nazi German takeover – was brought up by Steyn, who warned that in 2038, Austrians will no longer be singing “how do you solve a problem like Maria” from the film but rather “how do you solve a problem like Sharia?”

“This is the biggest story of our time, and yet hardly anyone ever writes about it,” Steyn impressed. “This is the biggest demographic movement/transformation in history, and it’s about to accelerate.”

Don’t let history repeat itself

The problems of Islamization and the demographic suicide currently taking place in the West was hinted at during President Donald Trump’s July 6 speech in Warsaw, Poland, where he reminded Poles that the culture and traditions of western civilization must be protected by sticking to pro-family values.

“[Europeans must put] faith and family – not government and bureaucracy – at the center of our lives,” Trump declared in his speech, according to LifeSiteNews.

He did not want what happened in Poland under Hitler to happen in current times, as the freedom-reducing tide of Islam continues to spread throughout Europe.

Before attending Europe’s G-20 economic summit to represent the United States as one of the world leaders, Trump spoke before 15,000 Poles at the historic Krasinski Square in the nation’s capital – with a monument commemorating the World War II Warsaw Uprising of 1944 against Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler in the background.

“Poland is the geographic heart of Europe, but more importantly – in the Polish people – we see the soul of Europe,” Trump proclaimed, according to the New York Times. “Your nation is great because your spirit is great and your spirit is strong. Polish heroes and American patriots fought side by side in our War of Independence and in many wars that followed. Our soldiers still serve together today in Afghanistan and Iraq, combating the enemies of all civilization.”

He celebrated patriots and culture-enduring heroes to urge the crowd to hold to their traditions and heritage.

“The signs of this friendship stand in our nation’s capital,” Trump continued. “Just steps from the White House, we’ve raised statues of men with names like Pulaski and Kosciuszko. The same is true in Warsaw, where street signs carry the name of George Washington and a monument stands to one of the world’s greatest heroes, Ronald Reagan.”

As thousands began to chant “Donald Trump!  Donald Trump!” the president continued to urge them to not let liberty slip through their fingers as it almost did 80 years ago.

“Poland is a land of great heroes. You are the proud nation of Copernicus … Chopin, St. John Paul II,” Trump pressed forward. “And so, I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization.”

Point of no return?

Steyn lamented that most Western European countries have already hit the point of no return and can no longer get their culture and centuries-old way of life back because they have abandoned their values and Christian heritage.

“A post-Christian Europe doesn’t really have any faith and it doesn’t have any families either,” he asserted. “They are fading into the past. They have essentially broken the compact of human societies. The people who built the modern world are going out of business – voluntarily.”

This sentiment was also expressed by Tesla CEO and SpaceX Founder Elon Musk, who alerted the world via social media of the pending demographic crisis sweeping the globe.

“The world’s population is accelerating towards collapse, but few seem to notice – or care,” Musk posted on Twitter on July 21.

The successful entrepreneur also warned the business world during the last years of the Obama administration that the drastic population shift has major ramifications – and should not be taken lightly.

“[The world] should be concerned about demographic implosion,” Musk told CNNMoney in September 2015, noting that the world is now experiencing an upside-down demographic pyramid with the elderly now representing a flat top that should be held up by a diminishing younger base. “So, if you look at countries like Japan, most of Europe, China, and you look at the birth rates, in a lot of those places it is only at about half of the sustaining rate. So … it will sort of fall over. It will not stand.”

Population implosion … not explosion

Late last year, the scientific world was also warned about what the Earth’s demographics will look like in 2076, insisting that the “population bomb has imploded.”

“[G]o to Japan, where a recent survey found that people are giving up on sex,” NewScientist.com’s Fred Pearce wrote in November 2016. “Despite a life expectancy of 85 and rising, the number of Japanese is falling – thanks to a fertility rate of just 1.4 children per woman, and a reported epidemic of virginity. The population, it seems, are too busy – and too shy – to procreate.”

Besides the approximately 2 billion Muslims on the planet and some populous Third World nations, half of the world’s civilizations are dying out.

“It’s catching – half the world’s nations have fertility rates below the replacement level of just over two children per woman,” Pearce pointed out. “Countries across Europe and the Far East are teetering on a demographic cliff, with rates below 1.5. On recent trends, Germany and Italy could see their populations halve within the next 60 years.”

Contrary to the population-control jargon spread by Planned Parenthood, Bill Gates and the environmentalist movement, it is argued that the world’s population will not continue to explode – making abortion and the “necessity” of having smaller families (having less children) the problem … not the solution.

“For now, the world’s population continues to rise,” Pearce concluded. “From today’s 7.4 billion people, we might reach 9 billion or so – mostly because of high fertility in Africa. The U.N. predicts a continuing upward trend, with population reaching around 11.2 billion in 2100. But this seems unlikely. After hitting the demographic doldrums, no country yet has seen its fertility recover. Many demographers expect a global crash to be under way by 2076.”
