Holiday Greetings from the GOPUSA Team

Merry Christmas from GOPUSA!

As millions of Americans and others across the world prepare to celebrate Christmas and welcome in a new year, I just wanted to take a few moments to say thank you for making GOPUSA a success.

From the time we sent out our first news and commentary update in September 2000 to four hundred people, GOPUSA has been committed to bringing conservatives the information they want in a manner that is always professional and which always focuses on the grassroots activists. GOPUSA was built by volunteers, and we never forget those who work tirelessly to help promote conservative ideals.

With 2004 coming to a close, please accept my sincere appreciation for all your comments, suggestions, and feedback. We now reach 1/2 million subscribers every day, and our growth is due to the wonderful team at GOPUSA and the terrific support all of you have given us.

In particular, I'd like to thank Terri Hillhouse and the entire GOPUSA team for their drive, dedication, and support. I'd also like to send a special thank you to all those who personally provided me with their assistance, guidance, and friendship, including Kathleen Eberle, Bruce Eberle, Mike Hiban, Don Stewart, Paul Teller, Tim Goeglein, Stuart Richens, Matt Smith, Jen Ohman, Bob Johnson, Liz Sheld, Julie Cram, Phillip Stutts, Chuck Muth, Grover Norquist, Karl Rove, and G. Gordon Liddy.

In 2005, we will continue to move forward by bringing you new features, a redesigned web site, and the quality news, commentary, and discussions you have come to expect.

I hope these holidays find you in the company of close friends and family and that you will share with them the true meaning of Christmas.

From all of at GOPUSA, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

-- Bobby Eberle, President and CEO

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as we celebrate God's gift of love to the world. We hope you are surrounded by the warmth of family on this joyous occasion.

Thank you all so much for your interest in GOPUSA. It will be our pleasure to continue to bring the conservative message to you in the coming New Year.

-- Terri Hillhouse, Vice President of Operations

Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays from Minnesota. May the peace and goodwill of the season fill every heart and warm every home. A prayer for our Minnesota brave men and women in uniform, many of whom will spend the holidays far from home. We are grateful for their service to our country, and for the support and sacrifice of their families.

-- Dave Anderson, Minnesota State Editor

There are so very many things I am thankful for this Christmas season.

I pray that we do not forget all those who have suffered the loss of a war hero or the loss of another family member or friend. There are so many who are also bearing with an illness, unrelenting pain or economic loss. The smallest of gifts, and even a thank you, can help cheer a weary heart.

May God bless all my GOPUSA friends and their families this Christmas season and in the coming year.

-- Dawn Case, Oklahoma State Editor

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

-- David John Diersen, Illinois State Editor

To all the many friends, really family, at GOPUSA, Eagle subscribers, state editors, Forum members, and moderators, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. For my friends who celebrated Hannukah, I hope it was a great one. May you all be healthy and happy in the year 2005, may GOPUSA exceed its every wishful goal, and let us all celebrate the great victory for our country in November of 2004. Never forget: we won!

-- Rory Dubin, Forum Moderator

"Christmas can be celebrated in the school room with pine trees, tinsel and reindeers, but there must be no mention of the man whose birthday is being celebrated. One wonders how a teacher would answer if a student asked why it was called Christmas." -- Ronald Reagan

Merry Christmas from the Bluegrass State and May God richly Bless you and your family.

-- Roger Ford, Kentucky State Editor

Merry Christmas from Washington, the evergreen state. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I wish everyone peace and happiness now and in the new year.

-- Mary Fouts, Washington State Editor

May God's Gift of the Christ child be your ever-present source of peace now and always. Merry Christmas from West Virginia.

-- Sue Grace, West Virginia State Editor

May the blessings of the season be with all our GOPUSA family. May you have joy and happiness throughout the coming year. Merry Christmas!

-- Gloria Harrod, Forum Moderator

In Maine, we know about snow! Here's hoping everyone is with someone they love this blessed season and that they enjoy a white Christmas. I would also like to send a special message to Mrs. Nancy Reagan and to the Reagan family. Ronald Reagan once said: "God gives us moments that lift us and that bring us together." It is my prayer that the love and appreciation from our entire nation will make this Christmas one of those moments for your family. You have our love and grateful prayers.

-- Chuck Mahaleris, Maine State Editor

From the Old North State, let me wish that all of you wonderful GOPers, a wonderful holiday and a very merry Christmas. It's been one stressful year, but it was all worth it -- we won. Now its time to sit back and relax and enjoy the season.

-- John Martin, Forum Moderator

Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year from (the land of Innovative Industry, Optimistic Opportunity, Wonderful Welcomes, Awarding-winning Agriculture) IOWA!

-- Deb McCurren, Iowa State Editor

My wife and I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will be following a decade long tradition, as we set out in our motorhome the day after Christmas for a driving tour of the south west. This year we will visit Las Vegas, Nevada, Saint George, Utah, THE GRAND Canyon, and end up in Lake Havasau, Arizona. Maybe our paths will cross during the journey and we can swap tales of the road!

-- Steve Miller, California State Editor

On behalf of all the Republican elected officials in South Carolina, as well as newly elected Senator-elect Jim DeMint, I would like to wish the people of the Palmetto State a joyous Christmas season and a prosperous and hopeful new year in 2005. Thank you for making GOPUSA a part of your life!

-- Jimmy Moore, South Carolina State Editor

May God's richest blessings be upon you as you worship His Son; and your hearts be filled with His love as you share the glad tidings with everyone! Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years to All!

-- Laurie Paramore, Forum Moderator

"Glory to God in the highest, an on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:14 KJV

I wish you all "Merry Christmas" from North Carolina and a special wish to all the servicemen and women who cannot join their families for this special holiday season. We earnest pray for their safety as they seek to secure a better America and more peaceful world for us all -- and a Happy New Year.

-- Robynn Rutledge, North Carolina State Editor

For all our troops serving overseas, we are forever in your debt as you see to the hard business of keeping us free and allowing us the safety and security to be with our loved ones during this holiday season. We love you, we support you and we're forever grateful for your sacrifices. And while you are separated from your loved ones this holiday season, please take some small comfort that we appreciate everything that you are doing for your country and that we hold your families in our loving embrace as they await your homecoming. Merry Christmas!

This flash movie is a beautiful tribute to their service to all of us. Please consider donating this Christmas season to Operation Phone Home so our soldiers can call home during the holidays.

-- Lisa Sarrach, Michigan State Editor

Recently, my daughter brought home a tape of the songs her children's choir will sing at church on the 19th. One of them says, "Happy Birthday Jesus! I'm so glad it's Christmas. All the presents and lights, they really are nice. But the real gift is You!" I have thought a great deal about the true meaning of Christmas this year and am so disturbed by all the commercialism and "me-ism" (The "what's in it for ME" syndrome). In a way, I wish we could forget about gifts, cards, candies and cookies, and remember the real reason for the season.

That being said, I wish you all hope, love, and kindness for the Holidays. May the love of Christ, who was the first and best Christmas gift, be and grow in you for the season and the coming year. God bless you all.

-- Billy Tharp, Missouri State Editor
