Presidential Hubris on Display at the Press Conference

By Kay Daly

There is a reason why the President of the United States should have ice water for blood. A rash word sends the stock market on a three day tumble. A misunderstanding can create a cataclysmic series of diplomatic missteps that can lead to nuclear war with lesser temperaments. Bravado and swagger has no place in the Oval Office -- even an over-abundance of arrogance can lead to dangerous consequences if not held in check. Obama has not been known for his humility, to be sure.  But at a rare Presidential press conference today, White House reporters got to see a truly rare sight -- a President of the United States losing it in full schoolyard meltdown.

To be sure, President Obama was trying his best to come off as gangsta cool, but to me, as the mother of two young boys, he looked more like a playground bully.

Come After Me

Somehow, some way, the Select Committee on Benghazi has to come to life. It would be preferable to see a Senator Mike Lee or Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz running it, but if it just sees the light of day at this point we should consider it a blessing.

It is painfully clear that the President wants this Benghazi albatross as buried as the four Americans he neglected to save through his  unwillingness to take any action on this matter.

Sorry, Mr. President but those four Americans, their families and at least half of this nation wants the truth from you about what really happened.  No dodging, no hiding behind executive privilege or the White House Counsel's office.   That Select Committee on Benghazi will be happy to take you up on today's offer.

We're waiting.

Obama’s change in attitude reveals his hostility toward America and the American people. He will continue to become more arrogant and forceful. As he told the Russians, he intends to have more “flexibility” during his second term, which is actually a code word for setting up his dictatorship. Congress has had several opportunities to impeach Obama, and if he is not removed from office we will lose the few freedoms we have left.

HELLO Conservatives in DC. You’ve blown every other golden opportunity to expose Obama for who he is. He’s so bold now—he is DARING you to come after him.

BY GOD——GO AFTER HIM—AND MEAN IT!

Thank you Mr. President, and I use the term loosely, you invited it and they will come after you.

It was a huge mistake re-electing this arrogant and inexperienced man to a second term…actually, it shows how fundamentally insane or moronic millions of naive and partisan Amercians are in our country. These voters, for their own self serving reasons, are willing to facilitate a major financial collapse that will lead to another recession or depression just to keep government checks coming or to grow their power base in the country. They do not care about the 23 million Americans out of work who actually want a good job and to be in control of their lives and not hanging on to an umbilical cord from the government. It is a perfect example of the cultural changes in this country which has led to Hesse new generation of Americans who are driven by instant gratification instead of planning beyond the next day in their lives.

Did anyone notice how Obama fired up the bus… began to run over UN ambassador Rice… and then pulled her out from under it with his “Come after me, not her” comment? Hubby and I were listening to the replay of this particular question, and I heard it clearly when he stuttered out his “she gave the best information FOR HER UNDERSTANDING OF THE INFORMATION spiel. My God people… does he really think we are that stupid as to not understand his pre set up and loopholes in semantics?

….lets take him at his word (bare with me). If what the President said is true..and I highly doubt it is… Why oh why was Ambassador Rice not only the face of the information from day one (Late Sept 11 early Sept. 12th), but went on a three and a half day binge on every weekend talk show they could book her on? Why would he pre set this woman up with false information to go out and be the mouth piece of this admin. knowing her information was incorrect…and now wants to place this woman within Hilary’s soon vacant seat? If anything, he set her up to keep her right where she is…not elevate her to the executive branch.

    Just my observation.

I’m sorry, but this sort of arrogance and false bravado has been right in front of our faces since BEFORE this man was elected. I’m sorry if I have a hard time calling him president but I don’t see him as presidential in any way. I see him as a spoiled, corrupted, immature person. He sniveled away 3 1/2 years saying it was all Bush’s fault and when people stopped buying that because he had only created destruction out of avarice toward his countrymen and his peers, he started this big shot act.
This mess over the embassy makes him squirm because there are too many people with too many facts that can prove that he was the bad guy this time.
As for Rice, if he wants her in that job badly enough to issue challenges over her, you can bet she’s not the right person to put there.
Does anyone remember the grief they gave every single person that George W. Bush nominated for cabinet positions? He had to work without cabinet members because the Democrats weren’t fond of his friends. So, why should obama’s appointments be treated any differently?

As he threw Rice under the bus, he said “come after me” Finally he takes some responsibility and says the thing he should have in the beginning. Why did he even sent her out on the excuse trail to begin with? Obama, you have got to quit blaming other people. But we still want answers as to what really happened, and no double talk.
