Business Owner Takes Obama to Task

Barack Obama has said many things that have have made people wonder exactly what he's thinking. Perhaps he's still in the Choom Gang? But his statements about business owners and government continue to reverberate around the nation. One woman in particular has taken considerable offense.

Long hours and hard work helped Joey Vento build a landmark restaurant in Philadelphia from the ground up, but that work ethic may have also sent him to an early grave.

That's why Eileen Vento's blood boiled when she heard President Obama declare last week that small business owners like her husband owed others for their success.

"That is ridiculous. My husband had $6 in his pocket when he started." Vento said to about Joey Vento, who opened Geno's Steaks in 1966 in the neighborhood of South Philly.

"He worked hard his whole life to build the place up. We made a lot of money. Unfortunately, he didn't get to enjoy it," she added.

I have lived a long time, I worked from age 14, grew up in a poor but happy loving family. My dad, was a policeman and a GOP member, My mom was a democratic worker, but they never argued about politics. Lately,I find myself wanting to tear someone a new one, especially when I turn on the TV, and see the garbage that is happening in and to America. It sickens me, and brings back memories of USA’S glorious past when people of all ethnic groups worked together as one. During the second world war,I was in 4th grade and were taught to keep our lips sealed, lest the enemy hear of defense secrets we may have heard from factory employees engaged in war projects. Now, our own Government, might bear guilt for revealing data that could harm our Military men and women. SICK! This is far from the feeling of Patriotism for the country we love. Now,we are dealing with a submissive biased media, also a group of Saul Alinsky radicals in high office, whose main aim seems to be toss out all the things that make America special. They already started shredding our Great Constitution,by ignoring it’s rules, and saying it’s outlived it’s usefulness, ignoring the fact it have served us well for several hundred years, hopefully it will survive the attacks and go on for hundreds more. I pray, the entire ruling group in DC, are voted out in November,so men of integrity can restore America to it’s roots. God Bless America and all it stands for!

Small business owners pay taxes too! I have yet to see anyone in the news media show a small business owner stating that they pay taxes that helped to pay for all of those government services and funding the roadways that they use.

Obozo proves again that he hasn’t a clue of what this country is about. Isn’t it interesting that when he goes off the TelePromTer that he says what is truly on his mind and what is truly on his mind is to ruin this country.

Obozo thinks everything is okay and the government is behind all of America’s successes. You remember, he also said there were 57 states. People should have realized right then and there how stupid this jerk is.

Obozo disgusts me. He makes me want to puke my guts out.

To jtmfc53,,,,,,my husband, too, was a small business owner – and it launched “Interconnect”, which was a competitor with AT&T. He filed a lawsuit and the rest is history…….look at communications now!

I greatly resent obama minimizing Thomas F. Carter’s great role in the history of America.

What really gets me is the arrogance of Obama and his absolute committment to ruining our country. Under his administration we now have 100 million Americans receiving some form of government welfare, which is 35% of our population. If all of these people and their family members vote for Obama, we are screwed inspite of the devastation he is creating. Barack Obama is the worst President in our history and he is running against a real American and an experienced and successful businessman and government leader in Romney who could actually turn around the mess we are in this country. But he may not win the election.

Obama has been successful in creating the highest level of dependency on the government in our history and is paying for it by uncontrolled borrowing of money from China and other countries who are gaining more and more influence in our country. This strategy is building the voter base he needs to be re-elected and why the polls haven’t totally gone in Romney’s favor.

It is sad to watch happen. I keep hoping that the majority of the American people wise up before it is too late and help us get rid of the Obama administration in the elections in November.

Most contributors to this blog are in accord that our freedoms are at great risk with Obama & dems. The problem is to make the fat dumb & happy liberals realize what is at stake. Something, someone must awaken them. I must pose the question, ‘how do we do that?’ Education is only useful on the receptive. Those on dole only selfishly want attention from government officials in the form of stipends, not interested in the least in opportunity or personal achievement. What more can a person do than pray? It would take a calamity of immense proportion to stop the flow to welfare to make people change their attitudes. That seems to be the only hope.

All of us can do more than just pray! Praying is always a good thing but we must use our feet and go to the polls this November and rid the country of this mess. It also means changing politicians in our local elections too. The rise of property taxes is incredible in many areas of the country! My have gone from $3,000.00 in 2008 to $8,000.00 this year. I am being forced out of my house that I love. And its value is half of what it was!. Its not just the national election it is the local ones too. Many businesses are being forced out too.

      To PCSS,

Go to your local GOP office and ask to walk door to door through the the neighborhoods where the precinct captain has not been doing their job. Talk to the REGISTERED REPUBLICANS about getting out to vote. It is not good enought that you vote, you MUST get others out to vote. Get familiar with the issues, people will make statements where you can insert an comment or two that will persuade them to get on board and vote. Encourage absentee voting if they may be out of town for work or vacation. JUST DO IT. DO NOT BE AFRAID! Most Registered Republicans are kind hearted even if their candidate did not win the primary … but they must be convinced to get out to vote!

My Husband and I have spent our whole lives working in private businesses that we started from scratch. Nobody did this for us, we took the risk, spent and spending the hours daily, went into debt and have to repay just like anyother hardworking American. Obama has not clue what the USA was founded upon. Called hard work and the rewards. We should not have to pay for lazy people that do not want to work. This is American, everyone has a chance to get a head in American, If you are willing to work hard, do the hours, and take the risk. No more should we pay for the ones on free rides. It is time to put term limits on the congress and senate. And time to get our values back in our children, country and nation. Time to kick out Obama and his clunnies

If the EPA was around back then, there wouldn’t be a Golden Gate Bridge, the trans-continental highways system, the Hoover Dam, or any of our metropolises, etc. etc.. We had to squash a bug or two to build these wonders.
