Here's a plan for Planned Parenthood

By GOPUSA Staff

Now here's a novel idea: rather than funding an organization which promotes abortion, why not put that money toward adoptions? That's what Newt Gingrich said this week in a speech in South Carolina.

“I would like to defund Planned Parenthood,” Gingrich said at a presidential forum on Monday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., sponsored by the Faith and Freedom Coalition. “I want to take all of that money and put it directly into adoption services to give young women the choice of life, not the culture of death.”

Mr. Gingrich is absolutely right. We need to STOP funding Planned Parenthood. This organization has one goal…..to make lots of money through abortion. They are behind “educating” our children in immoral perverted sex…starting in grade school so they will have a steady stream of money coming in. The House of Representatives led by Mr Boehner and the Republicans passed legislation to defund Planned “UN-Parenthood” but of course those wonderful caring Democrats led by Obama & Reid would have shut down the government before that would happen!

Mr. Gingrich has become more aware of the evils of abortion I think since becoming Catholic but I think Rick Santorum is and has shown just how pro-life and pro-family he is by the way he has lived his life and legislation he has worked on while in the Senate. I hope and pray we get a REAL Social Conservative into the White House to start to turn this country back from a Culture of Death to a Culture of Life!

    Planned parenthood, aren’t they already a 501 C non-profit flavored organization?

Why are Federal Funds being siphoned into Planned Parenthood anyway? I have seen the reports about their services and how they claim to offer women’s medical health services in poor neighborhoods, but abortion services bring in the money. Some claim the Federal Money and the abortion monies do not co-mingle, but this is simply an accounting trick and should never be believed.

De-Fund Planned Parenthood, absolutely. De-Fund much of the Federal monies going to other onerous and duplicated government agencies, then change the tax code on Non-Profits. With this simple step, much of our Federal funds would be returned for less spending, paying down the debt, or funding the military which protects us from enemies “Foreign and Domestic.”

There is no reason to siphon federal funds (also known as taxpayer money) into Planned Parenthood. An organiziation that pays its ceo in excess of $200K shouldn’t be given any federal assistance. And as a firm pro lifer, I do not want to give any money to Planned Parenthood via any route – Such as Susan B. Komen…a group that claims to want a cure for Breast Cancer, yet ignores the statistical link between abortion and breast cancer.

It’s a good idea from Newt. Rick Perry took the lead on this last year and defunded Planned Parenthood in Texas.

Really, I couldn’t agree more. We HAVE to stop aborting millions and millions of these little ones. I saw a picture of a boy who was about to be born in a normal loving way, but instead, his life was snuffed out by some slimy doctor and staff of ungodly people. And don’t bother writing a comment about who is to judge if they are ungodly or not, you would have to have a seared conscience to do what they do. We as a nation have to show much more support and have many more open discussions about the pro-life position and be people who protect our young like we did before Roe vs Wade. This should be a no-brainer regardless of who is in office.

There certainly was a big stink from the pro-death crowd when partial birth abortion was outlawed. This procedure was especially barbaric. Babies who were inches away from being born alive had scissors jammed into their skulls and their brains suctioned out. The logic was somehow that if the head remained inside the birth canal, you could still dehumanize the baby. Many of them were mature enough to have survived outside of the womb. The mother still had to go through the trauma of delivery, but had her baby murdered just before the entire process was complete. I say if you are going to go ahead and deliver the baby, let it live and be adopted. Abortion is stupid.

As far as the ungodly part, we are told that you judge a person by their fruit. Pretty rotten fruit doing that to a defenseless baby.

Trouble is, no one else is providing the contraceptive services that Planned Parenthood does.  Without someone providing those services there will be more unintended pregnancies and thus more abortions.  If cheaper and more available contraceptives were availble, many fewer than 40 million babies would have been aborted.  The Catholic church, and its current candidate, Santorum, should realize that and encourage contraception.  I know that any comments will label me a pinko, baby killing, liberal whatever, but I am not. We couldn’t afford more children than the three we have.  Planned Parenthood provided contraceptives that we couldn’t afford either. My wife and I have voted Republican in every election. I’m ex-military and will support whoever is nominated, but we need to reexamine how to stop unwanted pregnancies.  While abstinence is the perfect way, it doesn’t work for married and unmarried people.

What many are not aware of is that roughly 4 years ago, PP was handing out condoms that had an 87% FAILURE rate.  They knew it, and admitted, via a sting operation, that they did know it but, “Whaddya want us to do? We DO provide abortions in case of birth control failure.”

And yanno what? With how early the sexualization of our children is, (Thank you, Media, and schools) everyone knows either about NOT totally depending on just one form of BC as condoms, but also use a back-up, like spermicidal gels and creams, and female condoms, for the female at the same time OR being creative about sexual behavior (come on, do not make me go there) or abstinence!

PP is about abortion, period. And the abortions are neither free nor cheap.

PS…non-profit ONLY means they do not pay taxes. The Executive Directors of most so-called non-profits, both national and local, with the EXCEPTION of the Salvation Army, make beaucoup bux for salaries as do the employees!

When I was raising my daughters, I told them to expect to provide for their own birth control, that is was not the government’s responsibility, and if they were adult enough to have sex, they were adult enough to provide for their own birth control. I also explained to them the dangers of taking birth control pills, and that the man who they had sex with had better be worth it - a man who is willing to provide for them and their unborn child. No point in sugar coating this topic. Their sex ed began at about age 10, when I covered the topics of covenantal marriage, and reviewed God’s plan for man and woman in Genesis, and that God’s laws were intended to be honored, not violated. Incidentally, I also covered this with my sons.

Not sure how many people have looked into the cost of adopting but it’s ridiculous. The time to wait, major hoops and the cost deter familys from seeking this as an option. Due to the factors many people just go through without having the joys of a family. If it assists familys who dont have thousands of dollars laying around in the adoption process, do it! Many people empty their savings, 401k etc to adopt and then find themselves with not much left to support themselves later if they are laid off etc.

I ike the idea of taking the money out of PP and putting it somewhere that is useful to the everyday American. Heck we are all paying for it now and it’s disgusting! We are basically telling everyone that if they screw up then there is an easy out! There are no consequences for the actions of these people and shame on it for being so easy to do.
