The latest hoax from the scientific community

By The Scribe

Can the scientific community be trusted? First it was the global warming hoax, now it's a concocted study that has led parents astray on the value of vaccines for their children.

Celebrities believed the scientists, parents believed the celebrities and thousands of children were not vaccinated for childhood illnesses because of fear.

We have come to expect lies and deception from politicians and now we must expect and watch for it from professional communities also.

(HealthDay News) -- An in-depth investigation just published in a prominent medical journal alleges that a decade-long effort to link childhood vaccinations with autism was really an elaborate hoax perpetuated by a British doctor who has since been banned from practicing medicine in that country.

The doctor's original research, first published in 1998, turned many parents away from immunizing their children, which some experts now link to recent outbreaks of illnesses that had once been well under control.

"The MMR [measles-mumps-rubella vaccine] scare was based not on bad science but on a deliberate fraud," Dr. Fiona Godlee, editor-in-chief of the BMJ, which published details of the new investigation on Jan. 5, said in a statement. "Such clear evidence of falsification of data should now close the door on this damaging vaccine scare."

  1. Scientific community?

All I see is a bunch of hacks scrounging for government funding.

The True Essence of pure science is to hold every theory out in the light of day and invite the skeptics to challenge and criticize and prove the theory false.  The “taking on all comers’” aspect of pure science assures that every proposal or proposition withstands the greatest scrutiny before it becomes an accepted principle of “proven science”.

Beware of those who proclaim “the debate is over, the facts are in…”  This is a sure sign that there is a scam brewing around this proclamation.

There is no doubt that the science in the study sited was bad. The problem with the scientific method is that in order to prove a result, one must conduct a study and get a result. The study must then be repeated and the same result must be obtained. I have stated this very simply but I sure one gets the idea.
I have an autistic son. He could throw a tennis ball across the house at 18 months. At 20 months, he could not be persuaded to pick up a tennis ball. Something happened and I think it was the assault on his nervous system that came with his childhood vaccinations. I had 8 vaccinations before I was 2. My son had 22 before he was 2. I understand now that the number of early childhood vaccinations is now near 30.
Why is it that autism is more prevalent in wealthier families? Maybe because wealthier families follow the vaccination schedule exactly as published? Maybe if a child’s brain has a bit more time to develop, his brain will develop beyond the point where vaccinations might be a contributing cause of neurological development going wrong.
I think what we are seeing here is a bit like that which occurred with cigarettes. Today, everyone knows that cigarette smoking is bad for you. The scientific method has never been able to prove that cigarette smoking causes anything. For years the cigarette companies successfully made this argument. There are too many cases of someone smoking for 50 years who never developed cancer or any other “smoking related” illness. There are also many examples of people who never smoked developing “smoking related” illnesses. I think that eventually, while it does not happen every time, the childhood vaccination regime is overdone and it will be clear both intuitively and anecdotally, a contributing cause of autism.
Do not forget, that when retiring, Dick Armey was persuaded by the drug industry to attach a rider to the Homeland Security Act which basically said, “If it turns out that a vaccination caused your kids autism, you can have no redress”. What the heck does Dick Armey’s gift to the drug industry have to do with Homeland Security? I remember Ted Koppel being outraged by this. His outrage and that of others was quickly forgotten.

I agree with you khankla.  I am very careful whenI take my daughter to the Doctor now because they will try giving them more vaccinations, even when they are not mandated.  I question everything they want to give her because I do not believe in all the unnecessary garbage in her body.  The Doctors dislike it when a person questions them and will try to intimidate anyone who does but that will never stop me from protecting my kid.  Doctors are there to make money and those vaccines make them a bundle.

The reason there are more cases among the wealthy and college graduates is because of several reason. First they are much less likely to have an abortion because they tend to preplan births. Second they tend to have their baby’s at later ages which is more risky. People with less education and lower income don’t tend to plan. They go day to day and week to week.
I would like to let you that i am not trying to be insensitive to life situation. I have worked with autistic children when I was younger. I do have grasp on what your going through but I don’t believe mercury is root cause. I have worked with mercury for 27 years. I have had no ill effect from it and have been tested. I am no talking tiny amounts like the quantity found in a thermometer, I’m talking pounds. I also played with Mercury as a kid. No one  at my company in its 43 year history has negative health effects from handling Mercury.

A study found that 100% of drivers invloved in accidents ate bread in the days before the accident, ergo bread caused accidents.

    Anicdotal evidence is not scientific.

Fact 1:  Mercury causes brain damage.
Fact 2:  Mercury-caused brain damage is more severe in infants.
Fact 3:  Mercury exposure is cumulative.
Fact 4:  Most vaccines contain preservatives that include mercury, including about 80-90 percent of the flu vaccines distributed for the last “epidemic/pandemic”.
Fact 5:  The Hepatitis vaccine that used to be given to adults is now given to newborns within minutes of birth.  My wife (a nurse) was there to witness that for our two grandchildren in 2008.
Fact 6:  Some Hepatitis vaccines still contain Mercury-based preservatives.  Such vaccines inject up to 50 times the gov’t allowable exposure to mercury based on body weight.
Do some research and you can find many more such facts for yourself.
Can you marshal facts to support a claim that early exposure to Mercury has NO effect on newborn or infant brains?

I agree with you dadmiles 100%.  I have been singing this song for a long time and have always refused to get a flu shot even working as a nurse in hospitals.  I believe with all my heart that the vaccines will eventually, due to the reasons in dadmiles comment, kill us or turn our brains to mush.

Less than 100 years ago Doctors routinely prescribed mercury taken orally. This did not cause brain damage. I have personally known people who took it as a child. One of those was the man who perfected the cryogenic valve I worked for him till he died at the age of 85.  Also mercury can be cured and mercury removed from your system.

Oral ingestion of elemental mercury is not relevant to this discussion.  Elemental mercury is probably the least dangerous and absorption through the wall of intact digestion system is less than 0.01%.  Please read the article on mercury poisoning at wikipedia.

The preservative that has been used in vaccines is called thimerosal in the US.
      From Wikipedia:
Thiomersal is very toxic by inhalation, ingestion, and in contact with skin (EC hazard symbol T+), with a danger of cumulative effects.
…the central nervous system and the kidneys are targets…
The mechanisms of toxic action are unknown.
…ethylmercury distributes to all body tissues, crossing the blood-brain barrier and the placental barrier, and ethylmercury also moves freely throughout the body.
I’m not saying that vaccines cause autism, but I have serious doubts about any claim that there is no connection.

Sorry, I was not aware that copying and pasting from Word would dump junk into the posting.
I somehow deleted the statement that thimerosal is metabolized to ethylmercury and thiosalicylate.  That should have come after the statement about cumulative effects.
Like some of you have also stated, I wish we could still preview or even edit posts.

It’s bad the scientific community is shown to be corrupted. Any study by so-called scientific “experts” are unbelievable and cannot be trusted. Rampant fraud in the scientific is ominous regarding their credibility and our nations leadership in science.
How bout warning labels at the bottom of the results of scientific studies placed in a similar fashion to a package of cigarettes.

Definitely.  And here’s some further info.

According to Hugh Fudenberg, MD, the world’s leading immunogeneticist and 13th most quoted biologist of our times (nearly 850 papers in peer review journals), if an individual has had five flu shots between 1970 and 1980 (the years studied) her chances of getting Alzheimer’s Disease is 10 times higher than if she had one, two or no shots.

When asked why this was so, Fudenberg said it was due to the mercury and aluminum that is in every flu shot (and most childhood shots). The gradual mercury and aluminum buildup in the brain causes cognitive dysfunction. Is this why the number of those suffering from Alzheimer’s is expected to quadruple?
