Chairman Appoints African-American Leader
Johnny Hunter. Sr. will lead GOP effort to Unify Black Republican Clubs


TALLAHASSEE – Republican Party of Florida Chairman Carole Jean Jordan today announces the appointment of Johnny Hunter, Sr., current President of the SaraMana Black Republican Club of Sarasota, to coordinate the state Party efforts to unify Florida's Black Republican Clubs under one organization.

“I am very proud to make this announcement today,” said Chairman Jordan. “The Republican Party of Florida is committed to reaching out to all Floridians and our efforts to reach the African-American community will be enhanced by the appointment of Mr. Hunter.”

Hunter is currently the Publisher of Tempo News , a weekly newspaper serving the African-American community in Sarasota and Manatee counties since 1987 as well as serving as President of the SaraMana Black Republican Club.

“Johnny Hunter's dedication and commitment as President of the SaraMana Black Republican Club make him duly qualified to lead our efforts,” said Jordan. “With his help we will enhance our outreach to the African-American community.”

* I just wish people would get beyond that color thing. *And just be Republicans. *Okay, American Republicans. *It's nice to see the sheeple finally opening their eyes and becoming independent thinkers and choosing too be Republicans. *Phew! *[That's not a legal sentence. ] But I am pleased that the Black GOPers will be headed by a man *that we've read and heard so many nice things about.</span></span>
