Lieberman wants probe into 'terrorist attack' by major on Fort Hood
Lieberman wants probe into 'terrorist attack' by major on Fort Hood - By Bridget Johnson, The Hill
Homeland Security Chairman Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said Sunday that he intends to launch a congressional investigation into the motives behind "the worst terrorist attack since 9/11" -- the slaying of 13 people at Fort Hood by an Army major who, Lieberman said, reportedly showed signs of being a "self-radicalized, homegrown terrorist."
Reports of Major Nidal Malik Hasan have included statements justifying suicide bombings and shouting "Allahu Akbar!" ("God is great!") at the scene as he went on Thursday's shooting spree, Lieberman noted.

Good for you, Joe. And what's this Allahu Akbar crap? This is the first time we've ever seen it referred to other than Allah Akbar. Is Allahu supposed to be politically correct? Maybe because some will relate it to the aloha? Hey I wouldn't doubt it. These people are a real piece of work.

Good for Leiberman. I'm thinkin' there's a breakdown in the vetting of these guys. I also think there's too much political correctness going on.
I also left a commenton the website after reading some of the brain-dead who post there.

Good for you, RR, and stick to your guns. It's not easy to go against the lemmings, but speak your piece and if they still choose to go over the cliff, it's their problem.

Re: Lieberman wants probe into 'terrorist attack' by major on Fort Hood
Got to agree with Ray-Ray: Why are moslems allowed in our armed forces (let alone our country)? Yes, I know this guy is from VA but obviously he and his parents, who came here from elsewhere, never accepted American values.
Lieberman's on the right track. If the Army knew how unstable this guy was and what he was posting on line, what on earth was he doing in uniform besides desecrating it? This is at least the third time in the past 7 years that some moslem serviceman went on a murderous rampage for no other reason than the heathen cult to which he adheres. If he'd been a civilian and engaged in his rabble rousing, he'd have come under far more scrutiny.

Or imagine what the Dem and media reaction would have been if the major had been a 'right-wing, gun-toting, bible-thumping redneck.' They'd have gone berserk.

Re: Lieberman wants probe into 'terrorist attack' by major on Fort Hood
Casey was interviewed on Fox this morning, and said basically the same thing Lieberman did "We can't jump to conclusions" after the interviewer read the statement of a man who said several of Hassan's peers in (military medical) school had gone to their administration and complained of his anti-American rhetoric. They were told that they must be careful not to appear biased against Hassan because of his religion. And the administration dropped it then for the PC reason.
so I question Casey, Lieberman, and anyone else who says we must be "very careful not to jump to conclusions" before the investigation is complete. It's this kind of "caution" that caused the deaths of 9 or 10 soldiers and wounded 30 others. Enough, I say! Enough!

Absolutely agree, MC. I am sick unto death of this pc crap of saying, yes we must look into this, and then throwing in the qualifier. Screw it, the man's an Islamic terrorist and American soldiers are dead, not on the field of battle, but in a place where they should have been safe, and at least partly because the people whose suspicions were raised were intimidated into silence.
I just thought it notable that Lieberman is the only person I've heard call for an investigation. But what the hell, if the SOB survives, Obama will probably decorate him.

Jihad's 5th Column
Investor's Business Daily
War On Terror: The Fort Hood terrorist is being portrayed as an "anomaly," an "aberration," a "lone wolf." Sadly, he's just one of many examples of jihadist traitors in the ranks of the military.
Together they form a dangerous Fifth Column, and the Pentagon thanks to institutionalized political correctness is doing next to nothing to root them out .
Instead, brass are actively recruiting Muslim soldiers whose ranks have swelled to more than 15,000 and catering to their faith by erecting mosques even at Marine headquarters in Quantico, Va. More, they're hiring Muslim chaplains endorsed by radical Islamic front groups, who convert and radicalize soldiers.
More
A few more than I thought.

Re: Lieberman wants probe into 'terrorist attack' by major on Fort Hood
That's absolutely horrifying, FJ. I had not heard that. I knew things were bad, but I had no idea how bad. It's been an awful day and it just got worse.
And now it's hit rock bottom:
Army chaplain seeks prayers for meaning in rampage
AP deliberately twisted the title of the story. He asked the mourners to pray for the shooter!
By ALLEN G. BREED, AP National Writer–
FORT HOOD, Texas – Mourners were asked to pray for the man authorities say went on a shooting spree at Fort Hood and his family, and an Army chaplain exhorted his congregation on Sunday to draw together even if the gunman's motives may never be fully known.
"Lord, all those around us search for motive, search for meaning, search for something, someone to blame. That is so frustrating," Col. Frank Jackson told a group of about 120 people gathered at the post's chapel. "Today, we pause to hear from you. So Lord, as we pray together, we focus on things we know."
