Now that they passed it, will Dems survive 2010?
Washington Examiner
Based on the House vote on health care, which seats are possible pick-ups for Republicans? One place to look would be seats in districts where Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., received more than 50 percent of the vote in the 2008 presidential election. Thirty-one Democrats came from such districts, feeling enough pressure from constituents to vote against the bill.
Sixteen Democrats, however, come from McCain districts, and still voted for the bill. They are listed below by district and last name as well as the percentage of their voters that went for McCain:

Some democrats might have voted "no" but that was more to protect themselves from voters than any objection to this travesty.
The temperature in Perdition will be 31 degrees before I ever trust a democrat.
I'd like to see all dims in the house get voted out next november but the voters probably don't have the good sense to do it.

I wonder if this vote, or any, will have any bearing on the 2010 election. I've become cynical enough to think the administration will conjure up some kind of "emergency" to throw a serious wrench into that election.

This is a link to the actual house vote. The one in the link isn't correct.
Roll Call from the Clerk of the House

I got a letter from my rep bragging that they passed this monstrosity. I told him to go to Hell. I'm so angry with these jerks and their mentality. I sit in a class all day on Saturday with like minded idiots, all brain dead to what is happening in our country. I just wonder where was I when all this brainwashing was going on and why wasn't I brainwashed too.

I hope you know where you are now while all this brainwashing continues. You're sitting in the midst of it. Dare you speak up?

Re: Now that they passed it, will Dems survive 2010?
Do not underestimate to what lengths this administration will go in order to be re-elected!
We already know that the TARP money was handed out to friends who supported Obama in the last campaign. It is all about payback, Chicago style and will continue to be this 'you help me or else you are out business' attitude with these people.
I would not put anything past them!
A local bank that has been here for many years, San Diego National Bank which has supported many community groups and non-profits through out it's life here was taken over last week and bought by a bank owned by advisor and friend Warren Buffet. You might say coincidental but this bank had asked for TARP money and was originally available, only to have the money denied later saying that the money could not be given to privately held banks. However local Regents Bank, which is privately owned, was given TARP money.
U.S. bank which is now the operator is on the hook for only 20% and the taxpayer is holding the hook for 80%.
Questions are being asked about how U.S. Bank got vetted so quickly. There were 9 branches of San Diego National Bank and people will lose their jobs at the worst time for the economy and it all seems to be done for political reasons!
The government has the discretion to give to whom they please, just like they did with the auto agencies.
Trouble is, it is all paybacks to friends of Obama in my estimation!
