Graham joins Dems to rescue climate bill

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A trio of senators -- each with differing politics -- is launching a rescue effort for troubled climate legislation.

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., together with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Sen. Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn., announced Wednesday that they would work to patch together a bill that could pass the Senate.

A bill introduced by Kerry and Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., that would impose mandatory limits on heat-trapping gases for the first time is stalled in committee because of a Republican boycott.

Among the additions could be more incentives for nuclear power and provisions for offshore drilling.

Well we won't have nuclear power, Obbummer shut down Yucca Mtn. waste facility.

I suggest we all start sending Lindsay Graham the mounting evidence that GW doesn't exist by manmade efforts.

NOAA forecasters say there is a chance that a coronal mass ejection (CME) will hit Earth's magnetic field, and the impact could spark a high-latitude geomagnetic storm....The billon-ton cloud was blown into space by departing sunspot 1029 on Oct. 31st. Normally, CMEs take only two or three days to reach Earth, but during the deep solar minimum of 2008-2009, the clouds have slowed to a veritable crawl. Crossing the sun-Earth divide now requires about five days, so an Oct. 31st CME should arrive on Nov. 5th.

I think we should send the info to Graham, also, not that it will make any difference to him. He simply doesn't seem to be able to stop himself from "reaching across the aisle" no matter what it is or how many times he pulls back a bloody stump.

Once in awhile you get him on the conservative side, but he always strikes me as a pile of Jell-O that slithers whichever way he's nudged.
