What a doofus.
But in a way, she is right. She gained two votes on the Democrat side of the aisle last night.

When that infamous psychopath Adolph Hitler ate the gun in the Berlin bunker with the Russians closing in, that's what he was saying: "I won. I won. I won."

What was the other one--besides the New York vote everyone knows about?
But she IS a doofus, saying "we were in only one race" when there were races at least as important in Virginia and New Jersey. Does she think she only needs to concern herself with races for the House of Representatives?

But the one in upstate NY is a state seat. That's not going to help her much in the Fed House.
Garamendi vs. Harmer? Is that what she's talking about? I think that was for SecState of California. That means about as much as a mosquito bite on a bear.
She's crazier than I thought if that what race she's talking about.
Even Westchester NY threw out their Dem. Executive and elected a Republican.
P.S. I'm waiting for her to throw herself on the floor and start chewing the carpet because she's been thwarted.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: We won last night
Not sure what state seat you're talking about, Charie.
The NY race that everyone has been talking about, District 23, is a US House seat. The Democrat, Owens, replaces a moderate Republican. That increases Pelosi's majority and she probably knows that Owens is a sure vote for health care.
The California one may be this one that Qray posted. Not sure.
I really don't know why conservatives don't focus on the majority but Pelosi is Speaker of the House so it's important to her. Democrats won races where the winners are going to vote on health care, cap and trade, and many other socialist bills.
Winning the governor's races is great. It gives us all hope and it make Obama look bad. Hopefully, it will help NJ and Virginia.
But McConnell and Christie aren't in position to stop Obama's agenda.
But two new liberal Dems in the House will offset two Blue Dog Dems.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: We won last night
That woman is so delusional.
As Terri said before, the 23rd was not going to make a big difference. What happens in 2010 will.
Do the San Franciscans have the brains to vote her out?
Probably not.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: We won last night
Garamindi won in the 10th congressional district for Congressman which includes Sacramento counties and other northern California cities so it is no surprise that he won.
Why the state keeps voting in liberals is beyond me since the state is a catastrophe.
California is a fantasy land with politicians patting themselves on the back for saving 100,000 jobs when they should be hanging their head in shame for the 2,247,000 jobs lost.
California has one of the highest unemployment rates at 12.2%, one of the highest taxes and extreme regulatory rules and are one of the states suffering the most. Many of the jobs lost will never return. More the 1 million have been so discouraged that they have left the state unable to afford living here and no prospects for work.
The politicians think that creating "green jobs" and a green economy will create jobs and put those unemployed back to work!
Now California is taking 10% out of each and every paycheck in order to create more revenue.
Who knows. The federal government may take the same initiative and not call it a tax either.

Re: Nancy Pelosi: We won last night
I saw her statement on the news, she even looked delusional when she made it - as leader of the socialists, she has to say something positive, but I'd be very worried about how my party did in most states if I was her - even Boxer, that Carly woman there is gunning for her.

Not directly, but I see the enormous implications of the vote in V and NJ as more significant than a house seat.
It's all being downplayed by the Dems and the media of course, but there are serious cracks in the pillars of power and the first place it's going to show is the healthcare vote.
Dems up for election in 2010 just lost whatever enthusiasm they had for jumping off the cliff. Before Tuesday they could hope they'd land in the water, but now they know there ain't nothing down there but rocks.
Pelosi's blowin' smoke. Those house gains are essentially meaningless. New Jersey and Virginia ain't. Also there's this:
N.Y. Democrat Wins House Seat on Opposition to Democrats' 'Public Option'
