Default Written off by the Media, Republicans Win Big!

The Loft at GOPUSA

Remember the Republican Party? The party that the media and political pundits wrote off? They said the Republican Party was dead... that conservatism was dead.

In their rush to kiss Barack Obama's feet and proclaim that the United States is not a socialist country, the Democrats and members of the media forgot one thing: America is a conservative country. Americans simply want lower taxes, smaller deficits, more freedom, less spending, and less government control. Simple concepts, right? Well, last night, the message was heard around the country. In stunning election victories, Republicans picked up the governorships in both New Jersey and Virginia. The stage is certainly set for 2010 if the Republican leadership can learn from the results of Tuesday night.

Default What Obama and his minnons have done for conservatives

Thank you, Obama, you have awaken a sleeping giant who have for too long let both parties lead us down a destructive path of OVERSPENDING! Of course, the Democrats are far worse and now they are spending at WRAP speed.

A little disappointing but I still prefer this than
Scozzafava being elected. This way the Liberal isn't one of our own.

Conservative, Christian candidates can win in any district or any election if they will speak up and tell the folks there is no way jobs can be created or taxes reduced except by trickle down economics, there is no such thing as trickle up economics. Taxes have to be cut on the people with money who will in turn create jobs for people who desperately need them. The only other alternative is a socialist society with a dictator in the white house and nuts with the power to perpetuate their position in Congress by prostituting themselves to labor unions and counting on ACORN to steal the elections for them through fraud and illegal voting. Republicans will come back when we go back to being Republicans in our Republic.
No Taxes, less government control (OSHA,EPA,et,al.), drill for oil everywhere we can and tell the government we are a free people. We will vote again in 2010 and run these spread the wealth around and class warfare mongers from the positions they now speak down to us.
In Christ,

I guess the NY 23 race was not to disappointing as it was a third party but he actually was a republican. It was a good showing for New York in any district though . I hope this is a look into the 2010 elections and we can at least restore some balance of power , we see where we would go with the democrats in total control . spending is the main problem for them they know no bounds when it comes to spending and the republicans are not out of the woods yet they have a lot of convincing to do to show they will be fugal with our money ..

The new GOPUSA cartoon "RIP" expresses it well.....and although these latest election's were dominated by 'R's', I hope (HOPE) it's not just a little bump in BO's road signaling bad reviews for his version of "The Gong Show". Meaning, the republic thats outside of the corporation have been itching to share their reviews and just did.

It's a bad grade for you bam bam, with your communist loving administration, gang of four
(Pelosi-Reid-Dodd-Barney), slobbering, bowing, dysfunctional MSM and above all...failure to provide support to our military men and women; to name just a few.

Here, we just witnessed a little taste test and it simply shows, a significant amount don't like your cool aide. To those I applaud: Thank you, Thank You!! And, my hope is...this will represent the rest of the republic.

The tides going out Bammy.....you've stuck'er up hard aground, but there ya'are, still running the engine wide open, determined to ruin it. A ship lead by fool's, and the crew ain't happy.

Jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs. Obama and friends think that if you just give people "stuff" they'll be happy. America is still a land where people want jobs, not a hand-out. In America you're defined by yourself and others by your job.

Most Americans are too proud to take a handout all their lives, unless they are absolutely incapable of work.

I'm very happy that Virginia and New Jersey saw the light and I heard that Pennsylvania actually put Republicans back in their state legislature.

It bodes well for conservative Republicans, but this means we have to keep on keeping on with our phone calls, e-mails and Tea Parties.

Bobby the republicans have no leaders at the top if they did skzofava would never have been the spoiler that she was. she needs to be kicked out of the republican party and never allowed to particepate in any republican functions. she is just another benedict arnold and should be treated as such. she proved to the world she is just another lieing crooked democrat and should be treeted as such. if the socalled leadership in the republican party had brains enough to come in out of the rain they would get behind Sara Palin and Mike Huckabe and those two would be in the white house in 2012,

I am in 100% agreement with MrJLDoug. The reason that the Republicans lost the NY 23 race is because the Republican Party used member donations to endorse and campaign for a RINO. Those actions by the Republican Party caused the real Republican in the race to be defeated. If the Republican Party had its act together and was doing the job, there is no question but what the Republican in the race would have won the seat. As long as the Republican Party continues to act in this irresponsible fashion, it does not deserve and should not receive any financial support from any Republicans.
