Default Malkin: Who Are You Calling 'Extremist'?

By Michelle Malkin
November 4, 2009

Here is one of the loudest messages of the 2009 off-off-year elections: Conservatives in America will no longer let their opponents define them as outside of the mainstream. They will not submit to Democrats. Or to the media. Or to Beltway Republican capitulationists. They will not "rebrand." They will not sit down. They will not shut up.

Just this past weekend, Democratic Rep. Jim Moran attacked the Republican candidates for governor and attorney general in his state of Virginia as the "Taliban ticket."

New York Times columnist Frank Rich decried the right's "Jacobins" and "Stalinists" who he said joined a "putsch" by supporting Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman instead of ACORN-embracing, Big Labor-promoting, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, tax-and-spend Republican Dede Scozzafava in New York's 23rd congressional special election.

And I might add, the GOP elite won't get away with calling us extremists either.

"One that confounds good and evil is an enemy to good." --Edmund Burke....

...and the Bible says..."Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

Listen up GOP...

I do not intend to start saying that something I know is evil and dark is actually good and light..and shame on anyone that speaks such a lie...including YOU!!

Frankly, I intend to confront and expose anyone who does...

Enough is enough!

Hmmm....maybe I am an extremist after all--

the only reason that Doug Hoffman lost is because the democrats had a sleeper agent in the Republican party. Scozzafava was never a true Republican, if anything she was ready to carry on the Democrats agenda if she were to win. That would be a repeat of Specter. We as the people have to vet these people our self's. main stream media quit doing their job many years ago, you have to question everything they tell you. They can't be trusted to be fair and to bring both sides to the public's eye, so WE THE PEOPLE can make a truly informed choice.

Acorn and SEIU came in late in the day and pushed hard to get the democrat elected and who knows how many votes were cast that were illegal . I am sure no one will ask to have a recount and a check on if the votes were valid or not . the 4% margin of defeat is not bad really as he had two things to contend with and that was a spoiler, and possible voter fraud. The spoiler I speak of is the Dede scarfacea what ever her name is and she was put in by the democrat repubs to insure a liberal got the job. My money will not go to the RNC until they show me the beef, so far all I have seen is their ignorance . I do hope they mend their ways soon as 2012 is not that far into the future and if there is any thing left to run just maybe we can have a conservative run it.

Quote:
But conservatives are not demanding "purity." They are simply abiding by Reagan's own wise counsel in 1975: "A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers."

While I am willing to work with people who have opposing viewpoints and beliefs, to have members whose worldview is polar opposite that of the organization is simply stupid!

Quote:
We must hold conventions, adopt platforms, select candidates, and carry elections. At every step we must be true to the main purpose. If we adopt a platform, falling short of our principal, or elect a man rejecting our principal, we not only take nothing affirmative by our success; but we draw upon us the positive embarrassment of seeming ourselves to have abandoned our principal."

Abraham Lincoln

And therein lies the problems the GOP is having with Conservative America.

The Dems are still sticking to the Saul Alinsky plan. They keep calling us names which exactly describe themselves. The object is to make independents see Dems as being middle-of-the-road and us way out there flailing in Right field, in a stadium across town.

Of course, some thinking tells you it's not so when compared to the history of this country. I do think they have been suffering buyers remorse for quite a few months now. I think yellow dog Democrats are the only ones still on board.

Zell Miller was correct. His party did leave him.

Liberals, disguised as conservatives or R's, need to be vet'ed out; held accountable in some way more than some temporary down-turn in political popularity when they suddenly take off their mask. But, I guess I'm learning this is politics as usual, although 'Traitor' comes to mind.

Maybe 'Black-ball' them from their party (No reference here to anything raciest just in case someone is taking names and looking up my address), but wow...someone with as much (as I've heard) left leaning, liberal endorsing, as this person ( I can't spell her name)...
was she truly a mole masquerading liberal inside the gop? Dang!

I don't know specifically if any party has, "an oath of allegiance" (mainly some form of principle that promises no surprises unless running it by [somebody] earlier, than at some sudden crucial polling) but, that would be too loyal.

Most of the poster's here I respect as probably very knowledgeable in regards to moles in parties (certainly more than I am) but I don't know...maybe it's a gray area being abused and needs some fine tuning.

Bam bam is a good example...he ran as a demo but he's showing to be much, much more way left and probably should have ran as a communist. Marxist, Fascist-take your pick, and I have read up on theses principally failed ideologies (I've looked them up on Wikipedia-so, I'm a real authority now-ha!)

In any event.....were going to see more and more people, either, getting thrown under the buss or being forced to sacrifice their political career's. But, ones things for certain-this nation will not allow it to become a Johnes Town.

I'm a true extremist.

My proposed platform for candidacy consists of the following planks:

The Constitution of the United States
The Bill of Rights
The Crockett Letter (Not Yours To Give)
The Goldwater Doctrine

And, lest there be any confusion, I do NOT believe in legislated or mandated term limits. I believe in the power of the ballot to limit the term of ANYONE who proves unequal to the task.

I plan to be a candidate, so know in advance that if you vote for me, what you see above is what you'll get.

Being extreme is when someone spends $1.6-million to keep his birth and education records a secret.

Being extreme is when someone appoints openly Marxist, Maoist, and socialist people to his coterie from his pool of friends.

Being extreme is when the most socialist agenda ever contemplated is attempted to be imposed by stealth and deceit.

It is not extreme to defend your country's values and institutions in the face of the above. As Barry Goldwater said, "extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice." (Emphasis mine.) The larcenous extremists are in the White House and temporarily controlling the House and Senate. They're doing everything they can to infringe upon our liberties.

River Girl, if you're on my ballot, you've got my vote.
